I find Hopper to have a functionality and ease of use that I’ve not had before. When we have had issues with the software, customer service has always been top notch!

In our busy lives we do not always get to post to company social media platforms, luckily with Hopper HQ ensuring there are regular posts is easy and can be scheduled months in advance to ensure there is always something happening. The ease of use is amazing and it Hopper HQ is the most cost effective. Posts are always on time and customer service when things go wrong is amazing.

Iโve used Hopper for years now. From running 20+ client accounts to now, freelancing with just a handful, itโs the best solution for my time management and overall client account management.

If you need to be in front of your clients on multiple platforms, look no further. Hopper HQ will save you time and money. Schedule your posts and don’t look back! The staff and help center are amazing with any questions you might have. We use it for IG, FB, Linkedin and Twitter.

Easy, efficient, professional. As the owner of my company, social media is usually the part of my job that needs to come from me but i like doing the least as I need to put hours aside to organise. With Hopper, its a joy to use, plan and schedule.

Negative Reviews
It’s constantly disconnecting. There is no point in scheduling posts if you have to go check that your scheduling tool is working every day. After months of frustration, we asked them to shut down our account literally on the day the payment was being withdrawn. They both refused to refund that payment and to shut down our account when we asked. They said we had to pay for another month of not using their unreliable products per their policies.

I wish it was possible to add a bit more automation to the app. For example, I publish one drawing per day to my three networks. Currently, I have to front-load the entire task–pick an image, add a caption, set a publication date–over and over and over. It would be easier if I could, say, pick a range of dates, set one upload per day and have it pull the images in alphabetical order from a specific directory. So on day one, it would pull image001.foo, then the next day image002.foo etc.

For the whole two weeks of the free trial I was unable actually get the software to work and post on Instagram. Support is absolutely useless. They take days to reply, if they bother at all, and then email you a link to a help page on their website that doesn’t even exist! On the last day of the free trial they told me they had escalated my problem to their engineers. Unfortunately I will never know if their software can work as I had to cancel my free trial before they started charging me for a service that doesn’t work. A complete waste of time and energy. AVOID!!!!

Customer service is a complete joke. Based on lack of features and bad attitude I won’t use this garbage again.

Fails posts. Doesn’t schedule videos. Doesn’t accept photos that are “too tall” while when you post manually on Instagram it’s not a problem.

Hopper HQ pros and cons
Pros
-
- Unlimited Posts: Hopper HQ offers unlimited posts even in its basic plan. This ensures that businesses and individuals with a frequent posting schedule aren’t hindered by post limits. It’s a significant advantage for those who have a lot of content to share and don’t want to be constantly monitoring their post count.
-
- Grid Planner: The Grid Planner is a unique feature that allows users to visualize their Instagram feed. It ensures that posts are cohesive and aesthetically pleasing. For brands aiming to maintain a specific theme or color palette, this tool is invaluable. It provides a preview of how the feed will look, allowing for adjustments before posts go live.
-
- Bulk Create: The Bulk Create feature is a time-saver. Users can prepare and schedule multiple posts at once, ensuring that they can plan their content strategy well in advance. This is especially beneficial during promotional campaigns or product launches.
-
- Calendar Planner: With the Calendar Planner, users can get a bird’s eye view of their posting schedule. It aids in identifying gaps, ensuring a consistent posting rhythm, and helps in commemorating special events or holidays.
-
- Competitive Pricing: While there are cheaper tools available, the range of features offered in the basic plan of Hopper HQ provides good value for money, especially for individual users or small businesses.
Cons
-
- Limited Users in Basic Plan: The basic plan restricts access to just one user. For businesses with a team, this can be a significant limitation, requiring an upgrade to the Pro plan for more user access.
-
- Hashtag Explorer Limited to Pro Plan: The Hashtag Explorer is a powerful tool for enhancing post reach. However, its limitation to the Pro plan means basic users miss out on this feature.
-
- Annual Billing: The pricing, when billed annually, might not be appealing to everyone, especially small businesses or freelancers who prefer monthly billing options.
-
- Lack of Advanced Analytics in Basic Plan: While Hopper HQ offers analytics, the depth and breadth of insights might not be as comprehensive as those provided by competitors like RecurPost.
Hopper HQ Pricing
Hopper HQ offers two main pricing plans:
The Basic Plan is priced at $16/month, but this is billed annually. This plan provides users with unlimited posts, a calendar planner, a grid planner, analytics, and the bulk create feature. However, it’s limited to just one user.
The PRO Plan is a step up, priced at $32.5/month, again billed annually. It includes everything from the Basic Plan and adds the Hashtag Explorer, unlimited users, post approvals, and the CSV upload feature.
Hopper HQ Features
Unlimited Posts: Hopper HQ’s unlimited posts feature ensures that users never run out of their posting limits. This is particularly beneficial for active businesses or influencers who have a lot to share. With no restrictions, users can focus on creating quality content without worrying about hitting a ceiling.
Calendar Planner: The Calendar Planner is more than just a scheduling tool. It provides a visual representation of your content strategy, helping identify gaps, plan for special occasions, and ensure that there’s a consistent flow of posts to keep the audience engaged.
Grid Planner: Instagram is as much about aesthetics as it is about content. The Grid Planner allows users to design a visually appealing feed by arranging and rearranging posts. This ensures brand consistency and can significantly enhance profile attractiveness.
Hashtag Explorer (Pro Plan): Using the right hashtags can exponentially increase post reach. The Hashtag Explorer helps users find trending and niche-specific hashtags, ensuring that their content reaches a broader and more targeted audience.
Unlimited Users (Pro Plan): Collaboration is key for many businesses. The unlimited users feature ensures that an entire team can work on the platform, from content creators to approvers, making the process seamless.
Post Approvals (Pro Plan): Quality control is crucial for maintaining brand reputation. The post approval process ensures that every post is vetted and aligns with brand guidelines before it’s published.
CSV Upload (Pro Plan): For businesses that plan their content strategy in advance, the CSV upload feature allows for bulk uploading of posts. This is especially useful for campaigns or when working with content created by external agencies.
Conclusion
Hopper HQ is a robust social media scheduling tool with a range of features tailored for both individual users and businesses. Its unlimited posts and grid planner are standout features in the basic plan. However, to truly unlock its potential, the Pro plan is recommended. When compared to RecurPost, while Hopper HQ has its strengths, RecurPost offers a more comprehensive suite of features at a competitive price point.
