RecurPost and SmarterQueue both publish reliably and both organize evergreen content into reusable groups for recycling. They diverge once the work extends beyond scheduling. RecurPost publishes to 10 destinations, including Google Business Profile, Threads, and Bluesky. SmarterQueue publishes to 9 and omits Bluesky.
RecurPost validates every post against 850+ documented platform errors before publication. SmarterQueue reports failures only after they occur.
Pricing separates the two most clearly for teams. RecurPost’s Agency plan covers 20 social accounts, 3 team members, and a separate workspace per client for $79 per month. SmarterQueue’s Team plan covers 5 social profiles, 3 users, and unlimited workspaces for $50 per month, and 20 profiles on Team cost $130 per month. SmarterQueue still holds real advantages, including deeper category-level recycling rules and best-time analysis built from your own post history.
This comparison examines 14 areas across both platforms: pricing, platform coverage, post types, scheduling architecture, publish reliability, content curation, creative tools, engagement, reporting, AI, client workflow, integrations, mobile apps, and support. Pricing for both tools was verified against each vendor’s pricing page on September 30, 2026.

RecurPost catches over 850 documented platform errors before a post is published, and it invites a client without a password on the Agency plan. SmarterQueue matches neither. SmarterQueue leads on best-time analysis built from your own post history, which RecurPost offers for Facebook only.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue Pricing Compared
For a 3-person team with client workspaces, RecurPost Agency costs less than SmarterQueue Team at 10, 20, and 25 social accounts on monthly billing. For a solo operator on one workspace, the two land within $5 of each other. RecurPost prices by social account across 4 plans. SmarterQueue sells 2 base plans and scales profiles, users, categories, RSS importers, X credits, and AI words on a configuration slider.
RecurPost Pricing Plans
RecurPost sells 4 plans and applies an identical add-on rate to all of them.
| Plan | Monthly | Social accounts | Team members | Daily posts each |
| Starter | $9 | 2 | 1 | 10 |
| Personal | $25 | 5 | 1 | 20 |
| Agency | $79 | 20 | 3 | 80 |
| Enterprise | Custom | 100+ | Custom | Custom |
RecurPost charges $4 per month for each social account beyond the plan allowance and a flat $20 per month for each team member beyond the included count. Yearly billing gives two months free. RecurPost runs a 14-day trial with no credit card required and adds a 30-day money-back guarantee.
SmarterQueue Pricing Plans
SmarterQueue sells 2 base plans, Pro and Team, and prices everything above the base allowance as a slider add-on.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Users | Workspaces | Social profiles | Categories |
| Pro | $25 | $21 | 1 | 1 | 5 | 10 |
| Team | $50 | $42 | 3 | Unlimited | 5 | 20 |
SmarterQueue discounts annual billing by 15 percent. It offers a 7-day trial and no free plan, and the trial begins only after you build a Posting Plan and queue your first post.
How Each Platform Scales Past 5 Profiles
Both SmarterQueue plans include 5 social profiles and scale to 500 through the slider, and the per-profile price rises faster on Team. Moving Pro from 5 to 10 profiles adds $25 per month; moving Team from 5 to 10 adds $50. RecurPost adds $4 per account on every plan, and past 5 accounts its Agency plan usually costs less than stacking add-ons on Personal.
The step pricing shows at small roster sizes. 8 profiles cost $40 per month on SmarterQueue Pro. The same 8 accounts cost $37 per month on RecurPost’s Personal plan.
What Each Platform Costs at 10, 20, and 25 Social Accounts
A team of 3 with client workspaces compares RecurPost Agency against SmarterQueue Team, because those are the plans that include 3 users and multiple workspaces.
| Accounts | RecurPost Agency | SmarterQueue Team | Monthly difference |
| 10 | $79 | $100 | RecurPost costs $21 less |
| 20 | $79 | $130 | RecurPost costs $51 less |
| 25 | $99 (Agency + 5 accounts) | $145 | RecurPost costs $46 less |
A solo operator on one workspace compares RecurPost Personal or Agency against SmarterQueue Pro.
| Accounts | RecurPost | SmarterQueue Pro | Monthly difference |
| 10 | $45 (Personal + 5 accounts) | $50 | RecurPost costs $5 less |
| 20 | $79 (Agency) | $80 | RecurPost costs $1 less |
| 25 | $99 (Agency + 5 accounts) | $95 | SmarterQueue costs $4 less |
These figures compare monthly billing on both platforms. On annual billing, SmarterQueue Team costs $85, $110, and $123 per month at 10, 20, and 25 profiles, and RecurPost Agency costs $790 a year, about $66 per month for 20 accounts. The billing cycle therefore narrows the solo-operator gap but not the team gap.
Trials, Refunds, and Discounts
RecurPost offers a longer evaluation window and a refund guarantee that SmarterQueue does not match. SmarterQueue issues no refunds for downgrades or cancellations, whereas RecurPost returns payment within 30 days. EU-based customers pay VAT on top of every SmarterQueue price shown above.
SmarterQueue holds one pricing advantage worth noting. It discounts every plan by 50 percent for:
- registered charities
- non-profits
- schools
- universities
- full-time students
A qualifying non-profit therefore reaches SmarterQueue Team for $25 per month. RecurPost discounts registered non-profits by 20 percent.

RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Platform Coverage
RecurPost publishes to 10 social networks, while SmarterQueue publishes to 9. Bluesky accounts for the entire difference. Both platforms otherwise cover Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile, and Threads.
| Network | RecurPost | SmarterQueue |
| Facebook Pages | Yes | Yes |
| Instagram Business | Yes | Yes |
| X | Yes | Yes |
| LinkedIn profiles and pages | Yes | Yes |
| Yes | Yes | |
| TikTok | Yes | Yes |
| YouTube | Yes | Yes |
| Google Business Profile | Yes | Yes |
| Threads | Yes | Yes |
| Bluesky | Yes | No |
SmarterQueue supports no Bluesky destination on either plan. Clients with a Bluesky presence therefore need a second scheduling tool alongside SmarterQueue, or manual posting through the Bluesky app. RecurPost publishes to Bluesky on every plan without an add-on charge. Full details appear on the Bluesky Scheduler page.

Neither platform auto-publishes to Instagram personal profiles, because Meta restricts that surface to push-notification posting. Both tools send the publishing reminder through their iOS and Android apps, so personal Instagram accounts require a manual tap on either tool.
Facebook personal profiles separate the two products. RecurPost reaches Facebook personal profiles through push-notification posting. SmarterQueue provides no equivalent route.
Facebook Groups require verification before you commit. SmarterQueue’s pricing page lists Groups alongside Pages as a supported Facebook destination, but our testing surfaced no Groups connection option inside the product. Agencies managing community Groups should confirm the connection during the SmarterQueue trial.
RecurPost passes X’s link fee through at cost, and SmarterQueue meters X capacity through a credit allowance. X charges $0.20 for every post containing a link. RecurPost draws that charge from a prepaid X Wallet, applies no platform surcharge, and refunds the amount when a post fails. Text-only posts publish at no additional cost on RecurPost.
SmarterQueue includes 50 X/Twitter Credits per month on both plans. The configuration slider scales that allowance up to 40,000, and each increase raises the plan price. Agencies publishing client links to X daily therefore budget for credit top-ups alongside the base subscription.
Reporting compounds the difference. In our testing, SmarterQueue produced no analytics for X and ran no X content discovery, so performance data for that network requires a separate source. Read Schedule Tweets for how the prepaid wallet operates before you budget for it.
SmarterQueue lists a feature named Universal Profiles as a private beta on its pricing page, designed to schedule posts to any platform. SmarterQueue has published no general availability date and no supported-network list for the beta, so agencies should evaluate SmarterQueue on its 9 shipped destinations.
RecurPost fits rosters that include a Bluesky presence, a Facebook personal profile, or heavy daily link posting to X. SmarterQueue fits rosters concentrated on Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, because it publishes natively to all four. Platform coverage decides the purchase only for agencies whose clients hold Bluesky accounts or Facebook personal profiles.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Post Types and Per-Platform Customization
RecurPost fills native platform fields from a single composer. SmarterQueue customizes the message text and media per profile. Both platforms publish the same core post formats. The separation appears at the field level, where RecurPost writes platform-specific metadata that SmarterQueue leaves unset.
RecurPost sets a Google Business Profile CTA button, including Book, Order, and Call Now. It adds Instagram collaborator invites, location tags, and people or product tags on Reels. It configures TikTok comment, duet, and stitch controls, and assigns a YouTube category and video tags at publication.
SmarterQueue provides:
- a unique message and image per profile
- a rendered preview per network
- first comments, mentions, and privacy settings
- Instagram-specific options
SmarterQueue offers no equivalent to RecurPost’s GBP CTA buttons, TikTok engagement controls, or YouTube category and tag fields.
SmarterQueue covers the core post formats competently. It publishes:
- single images
- video
- Reels
- Shorts
- link posts
- text posts
- GIF posts
- threads
- Pinterest Pins
- Google Business posts
Two format limits apply. SmarterQueue’s pricing page lists LinkedIn PDF carousels alongside carousels, Reels, and Stories, and in our testing Stories and image carousels published to Instagram only, so a Facebook carousel became separate posts. SmarterQueue also supported no polls on any network in our testing.
SmarterQueue offers no per-platform video thumbnail selection, so every network receives the same frame. It also runs no pre-publish validation on post formatting, so an incorrectly sized image reaches the network before the error surfaces.
Both platforms create multiple text and media variations of one post and rotate them automatically on recycling. SmarterQueue adds AI-generated variations from its caption writer, so the two tools perform comparably on this capability.
Media sourcing differs by one source. RecurPost imports media from Google Drive, Canva, Unsplash, Pixabay, Giphy, a direct URL, and native upload. SmarterQueue imports from Canva, Unsplash, Pixabay, Giphy, a direct URL, and bulk upload, but connects to no cloud storage service, so Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive are unavailable as media sources.
RecurPost fits rosters whose posts depend on native platform fields, such as GBP listings, Instagram Reels with product tags, and TikTok accounts with engagement controls. SmarterQueue fits rosters whose posts consist of one image and a caption across every network, because the per-profile message already covers that requirement. The RecurPost composer lists the available fields per platform.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Scheduling, Queues, and the Posting Plan
RecurPost schedules from a drag-and-drop calendar with time slots assigned per social account. SmarterQueue schedules from content categories mapped onto a fixed weekly timetable. Both engines publish reliably. SmarterQueue determines the content mix automatically, whereas RecurPost leaves that decision with the operator.

SmarterQueue constructs the publishing week from a Posting Plan, a visual timetable of category-coloured time slots that draws from the queue automatically. You assign each time slot to a content category, such as Articles, Tips, or Self Promotion, and set the ratio between categories. SmarterQueue then maintains that balance without further input.

SmarterQueue attaches recycling rules to the category rather than the individual post. Each category carries 3 configurable controls:
- An expiry date
- A maximum post count
- Rotating text variations
A recycled post therefore reads differently on each rotation rather than repeating verbatim.

SmarterQueue supplements the queue with 2 reusable content tools. Snippets store frequently used text, such as hashtag sets, mention groups, and website links, and insert it into a post with one click. The Instagram Grid preview renders the queued sequence before publication.

Category assignment is a requirement rather than an option. SmarterQueue requires every post to carry a category, because the category determines the schedule. Agencies publishing one-off client announcements therefore create a category for content that follows no recurring pattern.

Three calendar limitations warrant evaluation before purchase. SmarterQueue offers list, week, and month views without a day view. It provides no drag-and-drop rescheduling, so a delayed launch requires editing the post rather than moving it. It applies no per-account timezone, so every client account publishes on the operator’s clock.

SmarterQueue distinguishes scheduled, published, and failed posts through labels and status filters rather than colour-coded statuses.

How RecurPost’s recurring libraries work
RecurPost stores evergreen posts in recurring content libraries and republishes them on a schedule configured per library. It reschedules any queued post through drag-and-drop on the calendar and assigns time slots per social account, which allows separate publishing rhythms for separate clients.

RecurPost adds a labelling layer across one-off and library posts. Post-wise Labels apply multiple labels to a single post, the labels appear in the Dashboard Queue, History, and Library views, and Label-wise Reports measure published performance by campaign, content theme, or client segment. SmarterQueue organizes posts by category only.
SmarterQueue delivers deeper control over the recycling rules themselves. Its expiry dates, post caps, and ratio balancing extend further than RecurPost’s per-library schedules, so an operator whose single deciding factor is recycling depth finds the stronger engine in SmarterQueue.
RecurPost delivers deeper control over scheduling logistics. Drag-and-drop rescheduling, per-account time slots, and label-based filtering address the operational demands of a multi-client roster, so agencies managing clients across regions or tracking content by campaign find the stronger engine in RecurPost.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Publish Reliability and Error Handling
RecurPost validates every post against 850+ documented platform errors before publication. SmarterQueue reports errors only after a publish attempt fails. RecurPost intercepts the failure within the queue, whereas SmarterQueue surfaces it in the post history afterwards.
Our evaluation recorded that SmarterQueue runs no network-specific pre-checks. It attempts publication and then reports the failure, so the post never reaches the client’s audience and the scheduled slot passes unfilled.
Timing determines the operational cost of that difference. Scheduled posts publish outside working hours across most client rosters, so a SmarterQueue failure surfaces at the next queue review rather than at the moment of failure. Agencies publishing unattended across 20 client accounts cannot manually audit each post, which is where pre-publish validation returns its value. RecurPost case studies include an agency that cut 6 to 8 failed posts a week to almost zero within two months.
RecurPost extends monitoring past the publication moment on Google Business Profile. Google accepts certain GBP posts initially and rejects them during subsequent review. RecurPost detects that delayed rejection and notifies the operator, rather than leaving the listing empty without warning.
Account disconnection affects both platforms equally, because social networks expire access tokens on their own schedules. SmarterQueue reviewers report periodic profile disconnections that require manual reconnection. Neither platform prevents token expiry, since the networks control it.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Content Curation and RSS
Both platforms import from RSS feeds. SmarterQueue adds broader discovery sources, and RecurPost includes more feeds per plan and a review step before import.
SmarterQueue includes 1 RSS auto-importer on Pro and 3 on Team, and scales the count on the same slider as profiles and categories. It pulls chronologically from any blog or podcast feed and adds 3 further curation sources:
- a Chrome extension that queues content from any page
- a Find Content search that surfaces top posts from Facebook and Instagram pages
- an importer that reclaims your own past posts, with CSV bulk import and Feedly import on Team

RecurPost includes 2 RSS feeds on Personal and 20 on Agency, then charges $10 per month for each additional feed, and accepts public RSS or Atom feeds. It also includes a Chrome extension from the Personal plan and imports existing posts from connected social accounts.
RecurPost stages every imported RSS item for approval or rejection before it enters the library, so no curated content reaches a client account without a human decision. SmarterQueue’s importer pulls chronologically from the selected source without a review step.

SmarterQueue fits curation workflows that depend on discovering top-performing posts from other Facebook and Instagram pages. RecurPost fits teams that run many feeds per client and require sign-off on every curated item.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Media, Creative, and the Image Editor
RecurPost edits and generates creative inside the platform. SmarterQueue sources it from stock libraries and Canva. RecurPost leads in this category, because SmarterQueue offers no built-in editor.
RecurPost includes a built-in image editor with platform-specific crop presets, filters, text overlays, shapes, and masks, and it generates images through AI directly in the composer.
SmarterQueue provides a Media Library with royalty-free images and GIFs alongside a direct Canva connection. It includes no native image editor, so no asset is cropped, resized, or annotated inside the product, and it generates no images through AI.
This gap adds a step to every creative task. Resizing one client asset to Instagram, X, and LinkedIn ratios requires an external editor on SmarterQueue, and each resized version is uploaded separately. RecurPost completes the same resize inside the composer.
SmarterQueue fits teams whose designer already produces assets in Canva, because the direct connection covers the requirement. It does not fit operators working without a separate design tool.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Social Inbox, DM Automation, and Paid Ads
RecurPost manages comments and messages across 4 business account types, automates Instagram DMs, and boosts published posts. SmarterQueue’s inbox covers Facebook messages only, and it offers no DM automation or post boosting. This is the widest capability gap between the two platforms.
SmarterQueue’s Social Inbox collects incoming Facebook messages from multiple profiles in one view, filters by account, and inserts Saved Replies for common questions. It lists no Instagram, LinkedIn, or Google Business Profile conversations and no AI reply drafting.
RecurPost’s inbox is included on every plan and connects 4 business account types:
- Facebook Pages
- Instagram Business accounts
- LinkedIn Company Pages
- Google Business Profile
RecurPost back-fills 30 days of conversation history on first connection and sorts threads into:
- To Review
- Assigned
- Reviewed
- Labels
RecurPost drafts AI replies that consume no AI post credits, and it assigns conversations to team members on the Agency plan. It does not connect personal profiles, Facebook Groups, or LinkedIn personal profiles to the inbox.

RecurPost triggers Instagram DM automation from comment keywords and responds with custom CTA buttons. Two controls gate the flow:
- DM Only If Follow withholds the message until the commenter follows the account.
- The Non-Follower Flow prompts a non-following commenter to follow, and RecurPost then sends the original message automatically.

RecurPost boosts published Facebook and Instagram posts into ads from the dashboard for a $5 monthly add-on. It sets a daily or total budget and fixed start and end dates, and it supports 4 targeting dimensions imported from the connected Meta ad account. It does not build custom audiences, because Meta restricts third-party tools from doing so, and it does not boost LinkedIn posts.
The RecurPost social inbox and boost published posts cover both requirements.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Analytics and Reporting
SmarterQueue leads on posting-time analysis. RecurPost leads on building and delivering the report a client receives. The two platforms answer different reporting questions rather than competing directly.
SmarterQueue derives best posting times from your own post history rather than industry averages. On Team, it also analyzes competitor pages to surface their highest-performing content. Beyond timing, SmarterQueue tracks:
- engagement on individual posts
- top-performing posts
- category-level comparisons
- follower counts over time
SmarterQueue’s limits appear at the delivery stage. It sends a weekly email report, and Team adds CSV and PDF export with unlimited stats retention, while Pro keeps 1 month of stats. It builds no custom reports, applies no white-label branding, and in our testing produced no analytics for X.

RecurPost builds Custom Reports from the exact metrics each report needs and compares them across social profiles. On the Agency plan, it white-labels reports, schedules delivery to clients, and answers questions about a report through AI. It also tracks Google Business Profile analytics, including customer actions, impressions, reviews, ratings, search keywords, and Q&A engagement, and Label-wise Reports measure performance by campaign or client segment.
Delivering a branded monthly report to 8 clients requires the RecurPost Agency plan. The same output on SmarterQueue requires a CSV or PDF export from Team, followed by manual rebranding of the deck.
Full detail appears on RecurPost reports and analytics.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: AI Capabilities
RecurPost applies AI across the composer, the inbox, and reporting. SmarterQueue applies AI to caption writing. Both platforms meter their composer AI, in different units.
SmarterQueue’s AI Caption Writer runs inside the composer on both plans with no external API key. It writes captions from scratch, rewrites, expands, and shortens text, applies tone and language settings, adds hashtags and emojis, adapts a caption per platform, and generates post variations.
SmarterQueue meters output by words: Pro includes 10,000 AI words per month and Team includes 25,000. Larger allowances reach 1,000,000 words through the pricing slider at additional cost, so high-volume caption production on Pro exhausts the entry allowance quickly.
SmarterQueue’s AI ends at text. It generates no images, drafts no inbox replies, and produces no report summaries.
RecurPost generates captions and images in the composer, drafts replies in the inbox, and summarizes reports on request. It meters composer AI in blocks, 200 AI posts for $10 per month and 200 AI images for $10 per month, while inbox reply drafts carry no charge and consume no AI post credits.
SmarterQueue fits operators who need caption writing only, where the included word allowance covers monthly output. RecurPost fits workflows that need generated images, drafted replies, or AI report summaries.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Client Onboarding, Workspaces, and Approvals
RecurPost onboards clients without collecting passwords and routes posts through an approval queue on the Agency plan. SmarterQueue requires the client to hold a user login, and it reaches unlimited workspaces at a lower price, on its $50 Team plan.
RecurPost invites a client by email or link on the Agency plan. The client authorizes their own social accounts and shares no credentials. RecurPost then routes queued posts through an internal and external approval workflow where managers approve, reject, or edit each item.
RecurPost isolates every client in a separate workspace. Password-free onboarding, approvals, client workspaces, and white-label reports all require the Agency plan at $79 per month and are unavailable on Starter and Personal.

RecurPost meters shareable client calendars: 2 on Personal and 5 on Agency, then blocks of 10 for $10 per month.
SmarterQueue includes 1 workspace on Pro and unlimited workspaces on Team, with workspace-specific user access. Agencies that want one workspace per client and do not need approvals or password-free onboarding therefore reach that structure for $50 per month on SmarterQueue, against $79 on RecurPost.

SmarterQueue’s client workflow stops short in 3 respects. It reviews work through inline comments and 4 fixed roles, with no approve or reject action attached:
- Owner
- Admin
- Editor
- Client
It requires the client to hold a user login inside the workspace, because it provides no external review link and no public read-only calendar. In our testing, it also sent no automated notification when a post awaited client feedback.

SmarterQueue assigns permissions by role and workspace rather than per social account, and it permits no custom role creation.
RecurPost fits agencies whose work passes through a reviewer outside the team, from the Agency plan upward. See workspace management and plans and pricing for the full details.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Integrations, API, and Automation
RecurPost connects to automation platforms and publishes a public API. SmarterQueue offers neither. This gap closes off any workflow that begins or ends outside the scheduler.
RecurPost includes 7 integrations:
- Zapier
- Webhooks
- A public API
- An n8n node
- Canva
- Google Drive
- Bitly
SmarterQueue includes 5:
- Canva
- Bitly link shortening
- Google Analytics UTM tagging, on Team
- RSS and Feedly import
- A Chrome extension
SmarterQueue publishes no public API, supports no webhooks, and does not integrate with Zapier, Make, or IFTTT. It also integrates with no cloud storage service, CRM, project management tool, or e-commerce platform.
This absence removes a specific class of workflow. Moving approved posts from an external content calendar into the scheduler requires Zapier or an API, and so does exporting published performance data into an external reporting pipeline. Both routes exist on RecurPost only. RecurPost’s Zapier automation covers the common cases.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Mobile Apps
Both RecurPost and SmarterQueue offer iOS and Android apps that compose, schedule, and auto-publish posts. SmarterQueue’s app is not notification-only, and comparisons stating otherwise are outdated. The separation appears in what each app omits.
SmarterQueue’s app composes and schedules posts, auto-publishes where the network permits it, and sends publishing reminders for Instagram personal profiles. It shows published posts and stats, accepts content shared from a mobile browser, and on Team lets users give and review feedback.
SmarterQueue’s app leaves 4 capabilities on the desktop:
- Posting Plan and timeslot configuration
- The Find Content search
- The week and month calendar views
- The full analytics hub
RecurPost’s apps compose, schedule, and publish posts and carry the social inbox across all 4 connected business account types, so comment and message handling works from a phone.
Both platforms serve publishing from a phone equally well. Planning the following week from a phone favours RecurPost, because SmarterQueue offers no calendar view and no Posting Plan configuration on mobile.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Support and Onboarding
RecurPost provides email and chat support 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, from the Personal plan upward, and Starter is knowledge-base only. SmarterQueue answers chat and email within a stated 24-hour window. Response speed separates the two platforms more than channel availability.
SmarterQueue supports customers through 6 channels:
- Live chat
- A help centre
- Video tutorials
- A free onboarding call during the trial
- A Facebook community
SmarterQueue’s onboarding also includes a 5-step setup guide covering:
- workspace creation
- user invitations
- profile connections
- category setup
- bulk content import
SmarterQueue offers no phone support and no dedicated account manager on either plan. Customer support nonetheless rates as SmarterQueue’s strongest category in third-party reviews, scoring 4.8 out of 5 across 134 Capterra reviews.
RecurPost adds priority support and onboarding assistance on Enterprise, alongside a knowledge base and self-serve guides on every plan.
The 24-hour window decides which buyer SmarterQueue’s support model suits. Its video library and onboarding call serve operators who prefer self-service resolution. The same window does not serve a manager whose client post is scheduled for the same afternoon, because a permissions error blocks publication until support responds.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue: Where Each Tool Wins
RecurPost and SmarterQueue both win real categories. Here is the split.
SmarterQueue Wins On
SmarterQueue holds five clear advantages over RecurPost:
- Best-time-to-post analysis built on your own post history, plus competitor analysis on Team.
- A deeper evergreen-recycling engine with expiry dates, post caps, ratio balancing, and rotating text variations.
- Content discovery through Find Content, which surfaces top posts from other Facebook and Instagram pages.
- Unlimited workspaces from the $50 Team plan, below RecurPost’s $79 Agency entry point for client workspaces.
- A 50 percent discount for charities, non-profits, schools, universities, and full-time students.
RecurPost Wins On
RecurPost holds six clear advantages over SmarterQueue:
- Password-free client onboarding and an approve, reject, or edit workflow on the Agency plan.
- 850+ pre-publish error checks that keep client queues reliable.
- Team pricing: $79 per month for 20 social accounts and 3 team members, against $130 on SmarterQueue Team.
- A social inbox across four business account types, plus Instagram DM automation and Facebook and Instagram post boosting.
- AI across captions, images, inbox replies, and reports, plus white-label and scheduled client reports.
- Bluesky publishing, platform-specific fields on all 10 networks, and a built-in image editor with crop presets.
How to Switch from SmarterQueue to RecurPost
Migrating from SmarterQueue to RecurPost requires a settings rebuild rather than a content transfer. The content moves without manual copying. The scheduling rules require reconstruction.
RecurPost imports existing posts directly from connected social accounts, which seeds your recurring libraries. SmarterQueue content categories map onto RecurPost libraries one-to-one in most configurations.
Three settings require rebuilding:
- Category expiry dates and maximum post counts, which have no direct RecurPost equivalent.
- Best-time settings, because RecurPost determines timing through a different method.
- The Posting Plan timetable, which converts into RecurPost time slots configured per social account.
Three RecurPost capabilities work from the first published post with no migration step: password-free client onboarding, the social inbox, and pre-publish error checking.
The migration checklist sets out the recommended order.
Which Tool Fits Your Client Roster
The deciding question is whether your work includes client sign-off, conversations beyond Facebook, or branded reporting. Those three requirements separate the tools more than price or publishing does.
RecurPost fits when your roster has any of these requirements:
- Client accounts that need approve or reject sign-off before publishing
- Client onboarding without collecting passwords
- Comments or DMs on Instagram, LinkedIn, or Google Business Profile as contracted work
- Publishing to Bluesky or Facebook personal profiles
- White-label or scheduled client reports
- A team of 3 managing 10 to 25 social accounts, where Agency costs $21 to $51 a month less than SmarterQueue Team
RecurPost does not fit an operator whose primary requirement is category-level recycling control, such as expiry dates, post caps, and ratio balancing, or one who relies on own-history best-time analysis across every network. Its client workflow also begins on the Agency plan, so budget $79 per month rather than $9 when approvals and workspaces drive the switch.
SmarterQueue fits when your roster needs:
- Category-based recycling with expiry dates, post caps, and ratio balancing
- Best-time analysis from your own post history
- Content discovery from other Facebook and Instagram pages
- Unlimited workspaces for 3 users at $50 per month, with no client approvals required
SmarterQueue does not fit a roster that requires an approval workflow, white-label reports, paid post boosting, a public API or Zapier, Bluesky publishing, or inbox coverage beyond Facebook messages. Those requirements have no path on either SmarterQueue plan.
This page compares two tools on the evidence above. For the broader question of whether RecurPost fits your whole publishing operation, see the RecurPost social media scheduler overview, then match your roster to a plan on RecurPost pricing.
RecurPost vs SmarterQueue FAQs
1. When does RecurPost fit better than SmarterQueue?
RecurPost fits better when client work needs password-free onboarding, an approve or reject workflow, white-label reports, or an inbox across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile. It also fits rosters that publish to Bluesky. SmarterQueue fits better when the main requirement is category-level recycling control or best-time analysis from your own post history. For other tools that replace SmarterQueue, see the SmarterQueue alternatives page.
2. How much does SmarterQueue cost?
SmarterQueue costs $25 a month for Pro and $50 a month for Team, or $21 and $42 a month on annual billing. Both plans include 5 social profiles. Pro includes 1 user and 1 workspace; Team includes 3 users and unlimited workspaces. Extra profiles, users, RSS importers, X credits, and AI words are priced on a slider. SmarterQueue offers a 7-day trial and no free plan.
3. Does SmarterQueue have a social inbox or DM automation?
SmarterQueue has a Social Inbox for Facebook messages, with saved replies and filtering by account. It lists no Instagram, LinkedIn, or Google Business Profile conversations and offers no DM automation. RecurPost includes an inbox for Facebook Pages, Instagram Business, LinkedIn Company Pages, and Google Business Profile on every plan, with AI reply drafts and keyword-triggered Instagram DM automation.
4. Which tool is better for evergreen recycling?
SmarterQueue offers the deeper evergreen-recycling engine. It attaches an expiry date, a maximum post count, ratio balancing, and rotating text variations to each content category. RecurPost stores evergreen posts in recurring libraries and reposts them on a schedule you set, which gives fewer rules to tune. An operator whose main job is recycling one large library gets more control in SmarterQueue.
5. Does SmarterQueue have a client approval workflow?
SmarterQueue reviews client work through inline comments and four fixed roles rather than an approval workflow. It provides no approve or reject action and requires the client to hold a user login inside the workspace, because it offers no external review link or read-only calendar. RecurPost runs an approval queue on the Agency plan where managers approve, reject, or edit queued posts.
6. Can you use SmarterQueue on a phone?
SmarterQueue publishes from an iOS and Android app. The app composes posts, schedules them, and auto-publishes where the platform allows it. It leaves out Posting Plan configuration, the Find Content search, the week and month calendar views, and the full analytics hub.
7. Does SmarterQueue support Bluesky or a public API?
SmarterQueue supports no Bluesky publishing and publishes no public API. It also offers no webhooks and no Zapier integration. RecurPost publishes to Bluesky, Threads, and Google Business Profile, and ships Zapier, webhooks, a public API, and an n8n node.
8. How do I switch from SmarterQueue to RecurPost?
Switching from SmarterQueue to RecurPost means importing your posts and rebuilding your schedule settings. RecurPost imports existing posts from connected accounts to seed your recurring libraries. Category expiry rules, post caps, best-time settings, and the Posting Plan do not transfer, so you rebuild them inside RecurPost. Client onboarding, the inbox, and error checking work from the first post.
Try RecurPost
RecurPost’s Agency plan covers 20 social accounts and 3 team members for $79 a month. It adds password-free client onboarding, an approval queue, separate client workspaces, white-label reports, and 850+ pre-publish error checks on that plan.
