Social Inbox

Social inbox for every client account

RecurPost’s social inbox brings every comment, message, mention, and review from your clients’ connected accounts into one screen. An agency managing 12 client accounts across Facebook Pages, Instagram Business profiles, and Google Business Profile listings stops hopping between apps to catch replies. Your community manager works one queue. Your account lead assigns the threads that need a specialist. Nothing waits in a tab someone forgot to open.

What lands here

What lands in your social inbox

RecurPost’s social inbox connects four business-grade account types: Facebook Pages, Instagram Business profiles, LinkedIn Company Pages, and Google Business Profile listings. Each connection feeds its interactions into the same queue.

RecurPost pulls comments, direct messages and conversations, mentions, Facebook Page reviews and fan updates, LinkedIn post comments, and Google Business Profile reviews from those accounts. A reply on a client’s Facebook Page and a new Google review sit in the same list, sorted by newest or oldest.

On the first connection, RecurPost back-fills the last 30 days of activity. A client you onboard today shows a month of recent interactions, not an empty screen.

RecurPost’s inbox fits agencies whose clients run business accounts. Connect these four account types first: they give an agency predictable engagement coverage from day one.

Facebook Pages

Comments, Page conversations, reviews, and fan updates.

Instagram Business

Comments, mentions, and direct messages.

LinkedIn Company Pages

Post comments from the company page.

Google Business Profile

Reviews from every connected location.

It does not connect Instagram personal profiles, Facebook personal profiles, Facebook groups, or LinkedIn personal profiles. Those account types fall outside the platform APIs the inbox uses.

Team workflow

How your team shares one inbox

RecurPost’s social inbox sorts work into four tabs: To Review, Assigned, Reviewed, and Labels. New interactions land in To Review. Delegated items move to Assigned. Handled items go to Reviewed once someone marks them.

Your account lead assigns any notification to a specific team member. Each teammate labels a conversation, bookmarks it, conceals or deletes a comment, and marks it reviewed when the reply goes out. Labels filter the queue, so a manager sees only complaints or only sales questions.

Picture an agency with one community manager and one account lead. The community manager clears routine comments from To Review. The account lead pulls a refund complaint out of the queue and assigns it to the specialist who owns that client. The Reviewed tab confirms the thread closed.

RecurPost’s tab split fits teams that divide inbox duty by role. A solo freelancer skips assignment and works To Review and Labels alone. Each client sits in its own workspace, so one team member’s access never crosses into another client’s inbox.

AI replies

AI replies that don't touch your credit balance

RecurPost’s social inbox drafts a reply for any message or comment with one click. The draft matches your brand tone. You edit it, then send.

RecurPost’s AI replies are free. They do not spend your AI Post credits. A freelancer clearing 40 comments across 5 Google Business Profile listings after a weekend promotion drafts a first reply on each without watching a credit counter.

RecurPost’s AI draft fits high-volume comment and message loads where speed matters. It drafts for a person to review, not to auto-publish. Facebook messages carry one hard limit: you reply inside a 24-hour window, per Meta policy.

Most scheduling tools meter every AI action against a credit pool. RecurPost keeps inbox replies off that meter.

Reviews

Reviews and comments in one queue

RecurPost’s social inbox handles reviews in the same place as comments and messages. Google Business Profile reviews and Facebook Page reviews arrive as inbox notifications. Your team assigns them, labels them, and replies without opening a separate reputation tool.

A multi-location client runs 8 Google Business Profile listings. The agency routes each location’s reviews to the manager who owns that location. One queue, eight locations, no spreadsheet handoff.

RecurPost’s review handling fits local and multi-location clients and GBP-heavy portfolios. Networks without a review API do not feed reviews into the inbox. For the Google side end to end, see Google review replies in RecurPost.

Platform limits

Platform limits worth knowing before you connect a client

RecurPost’s social inbox works within each platform’s API rules. Five limits shape what you see and when you can reply.

Facebook messages

24-hour reply window. Meta blocks third-party replies after that.

Instagram comments

Only comments made after you connect the profile appear.

Instagram DMs

Need a Plugins page setup before they reach the inbox.

X, TikTok, YouTube

Stay outside the inbox. Platform APIs gate them.

Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky

Not supported in the inbox yet.

X was removed from the inbox after the platform’s API changes limited third-party quotas. Publishing to X still works normally; the inbox is the only part affected.

Time-sensitive Facebook threads need a same-day answer, and older Instagram comments stay in the native app because the Meta API does not serve them.

Connections

How accounts reach your inbox

Clients connect their own accounts through a password-free link invite, so their profiles feed the inbox without anyone sharing login details. RecurPost runs automated first-touch Instagram replies through Instagram DM keyword automation. Both sit alongside the inbox in RecurPost’s collaboration and engagement workflows.
