RecurPost and NapoleonCat solve two different problems that agencies often confuse for one. NapoleonCat is a comment-moderation product with a publisher attached. RecurPost is a publishing product with a lighter inbox attached. Buyers who compare them feature by feature often miss this fundamental difference, only to realize it after a month or two of using the tools.

This page compares both tools against the same agency roster with 20 client social accounts and a five-person team. It covers:

  • Pricing at scale
  • Supported social media networks
  • Bulk scheduling
  • Client approvals
  • Inbound conversation
  • Reporting
  • AI

RecurPost and NapoleonCat each have clear strengths across these areas. This page highlights where each tool stands out based on an agency’s requirements.

An Overview of Both Tools

NapoleonCat organizes its whole product around inbound conversation. Additionally, NapoleonCat sells the Standard tier as post, analyze, and report. It adds the Social Inbox at Pro and the automation rules at Expert. This progression shows where the product’s capabilities expand as you move up the plans.

NapoleonCat’s Standard plan includes no Social Inbox. Buyers who chose NapoleonCat specifically for its inbox find this out at checkout. The inbox starts at $109 per month on Pro. The rules that auto-hide and auto-answer comments start at $139 per month on Expert.

RecurPost organizes its product around content planning, scheduling, and publishing. RecurPost publishes to 10 networks, stores reusable content in libraries, and accepts bulk uploads from a spreadsheet. In addition, the tool applies platform-specific settings per network before a post goes live. RecurPost also runs a social inbox, across four business account types.

For instance, an agency managing 20 client accounts across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok with a five-person team spends most of its hours filling client calendars. That is the job RecurPost is built around. The same agency would choose NapoleonCat for its moderation rules, not for its publisher.

This page compares two tools against one roster. For what the whole product covers and which teams it is built for, see RecurPost social media management software.

What Each Tool Costs for 20 Client Accounts

RecurPost prices its Agency plan at $79 per month for 20 social accounts, including 3 team members. RecurPost prices an extra teammate at a flat $20 per month on any plan. Notably, the plan price does not multiply by every seat. A five-person team managing 20 client accounts therefore pays $119 per month. This includes the $79 base plan plus $20 each for the two additional teammates.

Conversely, NapoleonCat prices on three axes at once. NapoleonCat bundles user seats, profile slots, and inbox capacity into fixed steps. As a result, growth in one dimension forces payment for all three. The smallest step covers 2 users, 5 profile slots, and 10K inbox interactions.

This bundled structure becomes more significant as teams need more profile slots. Increasing this limit also increases the required user seats and inbox capacity.

NapoleonCat only reaches 20 profile slots on the step that also carries 10 user seats and 50K inbox capacity. This step costs $249 on Standard, $299 on Pro, and $369 on Expert. The seat requirement can therefore exceed the team’s actual size. A five-person team buys ten seats to get twenty slots.

Same roster: 20 client social accounts, 5 peopleMonthly costWhat you get
RecurPost Agency$11920 social accounts, 3 included team members plus 2 extra at $20 each
NapoleonCat Standard$24920 profile slots, 10 seats, no social inbox
NapoleonCat Pro$29920 profile slots, 10 seats, social inbox capped at 50K interactions
NapoleonCat Expert$36920 profile slots, 10 seats, inbox plus auto-moderation rules
Prices mentioned here are for monthly billing. Both vendors discount annual billing. Verify current NapoleonCat pricing before relying on these figures.

NapoleonCat also meters the inbox itself. NapoleonCat sells inbox capacity from 10K interactions at the smallest step up to 250K at the largest. Hence, a brand with heavy comment volume climbs the price ladder on conversation count rather than account count. This bundling is fair value for a genuine ten-moderator team. However, a five-person agency managing 20 profiles pays for five seats it does not use.

NapoleonCat offers a 14-day free trial on the Expert plan with no credit card. The trial does not allow report downloads. It lets you preview a report during the trial. However, the report cannot be exported.

Which Social Networks Each Tool Publishes To

RecurPost publishes to ten networks, and NapoleonCat publishes to six. This gap sets the baseline for comparison before any feature discussion starts.

The 10 networks that RecurPost publishes to are as follows:

  1. Facebook
  2. Instagram
  3. X
  4. LinkedIn
  5. Pinterest
  6. TikTok
  7. YouTube
  8. Google Business Profile
  9. Threads
  10. Bluesky

RecurPost also posts to some accounts through push notifications on its mobile app, as stated below:

  • Facebook Groups
  • Facebook personal profiles
  • Instagram personal accounts

See the full list of platforms RecurPost supports.

The 6 networks that NapoleonCat publishes to are:

  1. Facebook Pages
  2. Instagram Business accounts
  3. TikTok
  4. LinkedIn profiles and pages
  5. X
  6. Google Business Profile

NapoleonCat connects to YouTube for moderation and analytics but does not support video publishing. It supports publishing on X but does not offer X inbox coverage.

However, NapoleonCat cannot publish to any of the following:

  • Pinterest
  • Threads
  • Bluesky
  • Facebook Groups
  • Facebook personal profiles
  • Instagram personal accounts
  • YouTube (connected for moderation and analytics only)

Hence, an agency with one Pinterest-led retail client and one client active on Threads would require a second tool from day one.

Also, NapoleonCat reaches Instagram Business accounts only through a linked Facebook Page. Thus, a client managing an Instagram without a Facebook Page cannot be onboarded to NapoleonCat.

Scheduling, Bulk Work and the Content Calendar

RecurPost schedules hundreds of posts at once from a CSV upload. Conversely, NapoleonCat does not support bulk uploading posts through CSV. An agency filling 20 client calendars can therefore load a month of distinct posts in one upload in RecurPost, instead of composing each post by hand.

RecurPost stores reusable content in libraries and lets users republish it on a recurring schedule. This makes it suitable for evergreen and seasonal content. Library time slots can be set across multiple days, several slots can be created in one action, and the same slot settings can be applied to multiple social accounts at once.

RecurPost also imports RSS feeds. It stages every item for approval or rejection before it enters a library. As a result, a feed never publishes blindly. RecurPost prices RSS feeds individually at $10 per month per feed.

RecurPost also supports approval workflows for one-off posts, workspace roles and permissions, and a Kanban view that shows each post’s status from draft to published.

In contrast, NapoleonCat’s calendar offers day, week, and month views. It also supports filters by account and platform. Scheduled, published, and failed posts are colour-coded for easy identification.

However, NapoleonCat does not support drag-and-drop rescheduling. The calendar grid does not display post thumbnails. It also lacks an Instagram grid preview. Post previews are generic rather than platform-specific.

NapoleonCat’s publishing layer documents drafts, a colour-coded calendar, team assignment, and approval workflows. However, it offers limited functionality beyond these features.

NapoleonCat does not support several key publishing capabilities, including bulk CSV uploads and RSS feed imports. It also lacks options for recurring or evergreen scheduling, queue-based or time-slot scheduling, and per-account timezone settings. It also doesn’t have a built-in content or template library for managing and reusing publishing assets.

However, NapoleonCat does offer one form of scale. It allows you to write a single post and schedule it to up to 50 accounts across different networks, with a preview for each account. However, the content remains identical across all 50 accounts, and you cannot customize each post individually.

In other words, NapoleonCat is designed to replicate a single message across multiple accounts. It does not support creating distinct, tailored posts for each account.

See how bulk scheduling in RecurPost handles the same job.

Per-Platform Customization and the Composer

RecurPost applies platform-specific settings that most schedulers skip. RecurPost provides options for customizing platform-specific publishing settings, including:

NapoleonCat post composer with Post, Reel and Story tabs and per-platform previews
The post composer in NapoleonCat
Platform-Wise Customization in RecurPost
Platform-wise customization in the RecurPost composer
  • Google Business Profile CTA buttons
  • Instagram collaborator invites, location tagging, and people and product tagging
  • TikTok comment, duet, and stitch permissions
  • YouTube category and tags

Notably, RecurPost also supports alt text for images on every platform.

In contrast, NapoleonCat customizes post text and images per platform from one composer and previews each network before publishing. NapoleonCat schedules:

  • A first comment on Facebook and Instagram
  • Adds location tags
  • Sets custom video thumbnails on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn

Moreover, NapoleonCat supports the full set of Google Business Profile post types, including What’s New, Offer, Event, and CTA buttons.

However, NapoleonCat does not support alt text on images. An agency whose client contracts require alt text on published images cannot meet that requirement from NapoleonCat’s composer.

NapoleonCat also ships with no media tooling around the composer. The tool does not include a built-in image editor or a royalty-free stock image library. It also does not support importing media directly from Google Drive, Dropbox, or other cloud storage services. By contrast, RecurPost includes an image editor with platform-specific crop presets. It also supports media imports from eight sources, including:

  1. Canva
  2. Google Drive
  3. Unsplash
  4. Pixabay
  5. Giphy
  6. Native Device/system upload
  7. URL import
  8. Zapier

Notably, RecurPost handles more than 850 documented platform error types that cause post failures, including:

  • Image size mismatches
  • Token false expiry
  • Wrong codecs
  • Google Business Profile rejection after initial acceptance

In comparison, NapoleonCat does not pre-validate technical API errors before publishing. It also does not check for structural platform violations, such as aspect-ratio mismatches. NapoleonCat relies on a manual visual preview and its approval workflow to identify these issues before publishing.

See what the RecurPost composer covers per network.

Client Onboarding, Approvals and Workspaces

RecurPost invites clients to connect their own social accounts without sharing a password, on the Agency plan. The client receives an email or link invite, authorizes their own account, and never hands over credentials.

By contrast, NapoleonCat requires the client to create a user account. It offers no link-based review. Therefore, a client who wants to approve a post must have a login. NapoleonCat’s Client role limits the user to accepting posts, rejecting posts, and leaving internal comments.

NapoleonCat also does not send notification emails for pending approvals by default. Hence, an approval sitting unreviewed on NapoleonCat produces no automatic nudge to the client.

However, NapoleonCat’s permission model is genuinely strong in one respect. NapoleonCat splits its User roles across four modules and sets view or edit rights on each:

  1. Inbox
  2. Analytics
  3. Publisher
  4. Automoderation

NapoleonCat also assigns users to specific workspaces and can grant or withhold the right to create new workspaces. A moderator can therefore manage the inbox in NapoleonCat without requiring publishing rights. However, the tool does not extend to per-social-account permissions. As a result, those rights cannot vary client by client inside one workspace.

In comparison, RecurPost runs separate workspaces per client with isolated accounts, libraries, members, and reports on the Agency plan. RecurPost also shares a client-facing content calendar where clients can comment without a login.

Moreover, RecurPost counts the calendars as an allowance rather than an unlimited feature. The included number of calendars varies by plan:

  • The Personal plan includes 2
  • The Agency plan includes 5
  • Additional blocks of 10 cost $10 per month

Client workspaces, the approval workflow, white-label reports, and password-free onboarding are all included in the Agency plan. See RecurPost collaboration workflow for the full setup.

Social Inbox and Comment Moderation

NapoleonCat provides broad social media conversation management across multiple platforms. It supports comments on paid posts and offers automated moderation with customizable rules. Its social media inbox brings these features together across eight conversation surfaces:

  2. Instagram Business accounts
  3. LinkedIn Pages
  4. Google Business Profile
  5. YouTube
  6. TikTok
  7. Google Play Store reviews
  8. Apple App Store reviews

NapoleonCat also consolidates ad comments from Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok into one unified inbox. It tags messages for sentiment, urgency, and category, and filters spam. It also assigns tickets to team members either manually or by rule.

NapoleonCat builds auto-moderation as a visual rule builder on its Expert tier. NapoleonCat’s rules auto-hide and auto-delete comments, auto-reply to common questions, and auto-assign tickets. These rules work across Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn, TikTok, TikTok Ads, and YouTube.

RecurPost manages a social inbox across four business account types, namely:

  1. Facebook Pages
  2. Instagram Business
  3. LinkedIn Company Pages
  4. Google Business Profile

Notably, RecurPost backfills 30 days of history when an account first connects and sorts conversations into:

  • To Review
  • Assigned
  • Reviewed
  • Labels

RecurPost even drafts AI replies for free without consuming AI post credits.

However, RecurPost has no rule-based auto-moderation at any price. RecurPost does not ingest ad comments either. It also doesn’t cover YouTube, TikTok, Google Play, or the Apple App Store in its inbox.

For example, a retail client running Meta ads through a sale weekend can generate several hundred ad comments that need spam hidden and shipping questions answered quickly. RecurPost does not ingest those ad comments, so that team would moderate them in Meta Business Suite or keep NapoleonCat for that job.

NapoleonCat’s own trade-off sits in its plan structure. NapoleonCat withholds the inbox entirely from Standard and meters it on Pro and Expert, so conversation volume alone can force an upgrade irrespective of how many accounts you manage.

Compare the scope of the RecurPost social inbox before assuming it substitutes.

DM Automation

RecurPost automates Instagram direct messages from keyword triggers, and NapoleonCat does not offer DM automation.

RecurPost DM Automation
DM automation in RecurPost

RecurPost triggers a DM when a user comments a keyword, attaches custom CTA buttons to the message, and can post a public reply alongside it. A “DM Only If Follow” setting holds the message until the commenter follows the account, and a non-follower receives a prompt to follow before the original DM is sent. An Instagram client running a comment-for-the-link campaign or a follower-only offer gets that flow natively.

NapoleonCat does not support DM automation. NapoleonCat has no triggered DM flows, welcome messages, or keyword-based auto-replies in DMs. It also doesn’t support DM templates or saved replies for direct messages.

NapoleonCat states this boundary in its own product. NapoleonCat’s AI agent setup screen says the agent generates reply suggestions for interactions except private messages. NapoleonCat intentionally limits automation to the comment layer and does not extend it to private messages.

See how Instagram DM automation in RecurPost is configured.

Analytics, Reporting and White Label

RecurPost builds Custom Reports with a drag-and-drop builder, 60 templates, and 202 metrics. It draws data from 11 report types across 10 platforms. Additionally, RecurPost includes Custom Reports on the Agency plan. It also allows a one-time 14-day trial for every other plan. RecurPost exports those reports as PDFs. Notably, RecurPost also produces:

NapoleonCat inbox activity report of moderator work inside and outside working hours
An inbox activity report in NapoleonCat
NapoleonCat Instagram analytics summary report with engagement and follower metrics
The Instagram overview report in NapoleonCat
RecurPost Overall (All Social Profiles) Report

RecurPost's Whie-Label Settings
White-label settings in RecurPost
  • White-label reports on the Agency plan
  • Label-wise reports from Post Labels
  • Chat with Reports for asking questions about the data

RecurPost also reports Google Business Profile metrics alongside the other connected networks in the same dashboard.

Post Labels let a team tag each post with one or more labels, such as a campaign, content theme, or business segment, and then report performance by label.

RecurPost schedules reports within workspaces and places client branding on white-label analytics reports on the Agency plan. Additionally, RecurPost’s reports support scheduled email delivery with a weekly or monthly cadence.

However, RecurPost gates Chat with Reports AI to the Agency and Enterprise plans. See RecurPost reports and analytics for the metric list.

By contrast, NapoleonCat builds custom reports and schedules them by email on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly cadence. It places your logo on the PDF on every plan. NapoleonCat benchmarks competitors by following their public profiles. It groups profiles into sets for aggregated statistics. Moreover, NapoleonCat tracks hashtag performance across supported networks.

However, NapoleonCat cannot combine multiple platforms into one report. As a result, an agency sending one branded monthly document per client across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn would have to produce three files per client in NapoleonCat instead of one.

NapoleonCat exports raw data as xlsx rather than CSV and shares finished reports as PDF downloads with no live web link. NapoleonCat’s white label is limited to the PDF logo. It does not offer a client-facing branded portal and a custom domain for client logins. The tool also does not provide a way to hide NapoleonCat branding within the web app itself.

NapoleonCat does have one reporting capability that RecurPost lacks. NapoleonCat’s Inbox Activity Reports split moderator work into two data sets:

  1. Configured working hours: Captures team performance during official shifts.
  2. After-hours activity: Tracks engagement outside standard business hours.

Support-focused teams use this split to measure response coverage outside business hours.

AI Features and What They Cost

RecurPost places AI in four places, whereas NapoleonCat places it in two. RecurPost uses AI for:

NapoleonCat AI Assistant in the composer with tone presets and length options
The AI Assistant in the NapoleonCat composer
NapoleonCat AI Agent setup screen with tone of voice, rules and knowledge sources
Setting up the AI Agent in NapoleonCat
RecurPost's AI Feature - Plan Weekly Posts with AI

  • Post copy
  • Images inside the composer
  • Drafting inbox replies
  • Receiving conversational insights from reports

Conversely, NapoleonCat generates post copy and suggests inbox replies.

RecurPost generates post copy and images in the composer. It also drafts replies in the social inbox and answers performance questions through Chat with Reports. These AI capabilities are available as paid add-ons, with usage-based pricing. RecurPost sells AI posts at $10 per month per block of 200 and AI images at $10 per month per block of 200.

However, RecurPost drafts inbox replies for free without consuming those blocks.

By contrast, NapoleonCat’s AI Assistant offers:

  • Seven tone presets
  • Three length settings
  • A hashtag toggle
  • An emoji toggle
  • A library of instruction templates

NapoleonCat’s AI is native and needs no external API key.

However, NapoleonCat meters the AI tightly. NapoleonCat includes 10 AI posts in the publisher and 100 AI tickets in the inbox per month. It then sells unlimited use of both at $29 per month. For instance, a five-person team drafting captions for 20 client accounts uses up 10 posts in an afternoon. This rapid consumption makes the add-on effectively compulsory at agency volume.

NapoleonCat does not generate images, summarize reports with AI, or produce AI performance insights. It also cannot generate multiple platform-specific variations of a post from one prompt.

Paid Ads, Mobile Apps, Integrations and Support

RecurPost can boost an already-published Facebook or Instagram post into an ad from the dashboard. The boosting supports a per-day or total budget, fixed start and end dates, and targeting imported from the connected Meta ad account.

RecurPost offers this boost capability as a $5-per-month add-on for each social account. However, RecurPost covers only Facebook and Instagram.

RecurPost also can’t build or edit custom audiences, as Meta blocks third-party tools from doing so. See how RecurPost paid ads boosting works.

NapoleonCat does not support paid advertising of any kind. NapoleonCat cannot create ads, manage ads, boost posts, or report on ad performance, at any tier or as an add-on. NapoleonCat ingests ad comments into its inbox but never manages ad spend.

RecurPost ships both iOS and Android apps. The app can schedule posts, show the calendar, and manage the inbox. It can also post to Facebook Groups and personal profiles through push notifications.

NapoleonCat’s mobile app runs on iOS and Android too, but cannot publish. NapoleonCat’s app schedules nothing, shows no content calendar, and offers no push-notification posting. NapoleonCat built it as a portable Social Inbox for moderation on the move.

RecurPost connects natively with:

  • Zapier
  • A native n8n node
  • MCP
  • webhooks
  • A public API
  • Canva
  • Google Drive
  • RSS feeds
  • Google Alerts
  • Browser-based content capture through its Chrome extension

Plus, it supports direct imports and content management within its libraries.

NapoleonCat’s integrations settings list exactly two connections, namely:

  1. Bitly
  2. Slack

NapoleonCat offers no Zapier, Make, or IFTTT connection. It also does not support Canva or Adobe links, or Google Drive or Dropbox imports. Additionally, it lacks native connections to CRM or project-management connectors. NapoleonCat reserves API access for its Enterprise plan, so any custom connection requires that tier.

However, NapoleonCat addresses the missing CRM connectors with a built-in Social CRM. NapoleonCat stores unlimited contact profiles across workspaces with tags, internal notes, interaction history, and an xlsx export. For teams that track contact history across social platforms, this is a genuine NapoleonCat advantage.

Both vendors offer live chat on every plan.

RecurPost provides live chat support directly within the app interface.

NapoleonCat staffs its chat Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 20:00 CET, and answers email the same day during those hours. NapoleonCat assigns a dedicated account manager on its highest tier and offers no community forum or phone support.

Where RecurPost Fits and Where It Does Not

RecurPost is a strong fit for agencies whose bottleneck is publishing content across multiple client accounts and social networks. It is less suited for teams whose primary bottleneck is managing and moderating high volumes of inbound comments.

RecurPost fits whenRecurPost does not fit when
Clients refuse to hand over social account passwords and need a link invite insteadRule-based comment auto-moderation must survive the move
Post failures across 20-plus accounts need catching rather than sitting silently in a queueComments on paid Facebook, Instagram or TikTok posts need to reach the inbox
The roster includes Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, or YouTube videoGoogle Play or Apple App Store reviews need answering in the same place
Instagram DM capture is part of the client funnelYouTube and TikTok comments need to land in a unified inbox
Per-network settings such as GBP CTA buttons and TikTok stitch controls matter per clientSocial listening or sentiment analysis is a requirement
The team fills calendars from spreadsheets and reusable librariesModerator response coverage inside and outside working hours must be reported

Hence, an eight-client agency with a Pinterest retailer and a Threads-active B2B client, publishing 40 posts a week, falls squarely in the left column. RecurPost has no social listening or sentiment analysis, and upgrading to a higher plan doesn’t cover that gap either. Read how RecurPost for agencies handles the multi-client setup, or see RecurPost case studies from teams running it.

Where NapoleonCat Fits and Where It Does Not

NapoleonCat fits a team whose daily work is answering and hiding comments, especially comments on paid posts. However, NapoleonCat does not fit an agency whose daily work is filling client calendars.

NapoleonCat Social CRM table of contact profiles with tags and notes
The Social CRM in NapoleonCat
NapoleonCat benchmarking set grouping followed competitor profiles

NapoleonCat fits whenNapoleonCat does not fit when
Comment volume is the constraint and auto-hiding spam is a daily jobThe team schedules in volume and needs CSV upload or RSS import
Facebook and Instagram ad comments need moderation rulesThe roster includes Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, or YouTube video
A mobile app in Google Play or the App Store generates reviews to answerEvergreen content needs to be republished on a recurring schedule
Moderator performance needs measuring against working hoursAnyone needs to schedule or publish from a phone
The team genuinely has close to ten people who need loginsClient contracts require alt text on published images
Contact history across social platforms needs storing in one CRM viewThe budget assumed the Social Inbox was included on the entry plan

Hence, a single-brand ecommerce team managing continuous Meta ads, with two moderators and a mobile app in both stores, is better aligned with NapoleonCat than RecurPost. For this team, NapoleonCat is the more natural fit.

Who Should Pick Which

The choice comes down to one core question: Is your daily priority moderating conversations or filling calendars? Choose NapoleonCat if your main task is responding to customer messages. Choose RecurPost if your main task is filling your social media calendar. Both tools handle both tasks, but each has completely different strengths.

Switching From NapoleonCat to RecurPost

RecurPost onboarding starts with the clients rather than the content. A 20-account agency moving over a weekend works through four steps.

StepWhat happens
1. Invite each clientRecurPost sends an email or link invite on the Agency plan. The client authorises their own accounts and doesn’t hand over any passwords.
2. Reconnect every networkEvery platform connection is re-authorised through its own API. Connections do not transfer between tools.
3. Rebuild the scheduleRecurPost accepts the queue as a CSV bulk upload. NapoleonCat exports no scheduled posts, so the schedule is rebuilt from your own records.
4. Accept the moderation gapAuto-moderation rules do not transfer, and RecurPost has no equivalent. Teams that depend on them should plan for manual moderation or keep a second tool.

Step 4 is not optional, and this page outlines the transition exactly as it is. Hence, a team running twenty auto-moderation rules on NapoleonCat Expert loses all twenty during migration. See the RecurPost migration checklist for the full sequence.

Teams comparing RecurPost against other schedulers can browse every head-to-head in RecurPost comparisons.

Try RecurPost

RecurPost’s Agency plan covers 20 social accounts and includes 3 team members. RecurPost prices an extra teammate at a flat $20 per month on any plan instead of multiplying the plan price by every seat. RecurPost also prices extra social accounts at $4 per month each. As a result, a roster that grows by two accounts grows the bill by $8.

RecurPost vs NapoleonCat FAQs

1. Is NapoleonCat a scheduler or a moderation tool?

NapoleonCat is a moderation tool with an attached publishing layer. NapoleonCat sells its Standard tier as post, analyze, and report. Additionally, it adds the Social Inbox at Pro and auto-moderation rules at Expert. NapoleonCat’s publishing feature includes drafts, a calendar, and team assignment and approvals. However, it lacks bulk upload, RSS import, and content libraries.

2. How much does NapoleonCat cost for 20 social accounts?

NapoleonCat charges $249 on Standard, $299 on Pro, or $369 on Expert for 20 profile slots on monthly billing. NapoleonCat only sells 20 profile slots on the plan that also bundles 10 user seats and 50K inbox capacity. Therefore, a five-person team pays for ten seats. In contrast, RecurPost charges $119 per month for the same roster: the $79 Agency plan plus two extra teammates at $20 each.

3. Does the NapoleonCat Standard plan include the social inbox?

NapoleonCat’s Standard plan does not include the Social Inbox. NapoleonCat starts inbox access at Pro from $109 per month and starts auto-moderation rules at Expert from $139 per month. Inbox capacity is metered separately on both tiers, from 10K interactions at the smallest step to 250K at the largest.

4. Can NapoleonCat bulk schedule posts from a CSV?

NapoleonCat does not support bulk uploading posts through CSV. NapoleonCat instead lets you write one post and schedule it to up to 50 accounts at once. Importantly, these bulk posts cannot be customized individually. Conversely, RecurPost schedules hundreds of distinct posts at once from a CSV bulk upload.

5. Which social networks can NapoleonCat publish to?

NapoleonCat publishes to six networks: Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, TikTok, LinkedIn profiles and pages, X and Google Business Profile.
NapoleonCat supports YouTube for comment moderation and analytics. However, it does not allow you to publish video content to the platform. NapoleonCat also does not support Pinterest, Threads, or Bluesky.

6. Does RecurPost have auto-moderation like NapoleonCat?

RecurPost does not support rule-based auto-moderation at any price. RecurPost offers AI reply drafts in its inbox and Instagram DM keyword automation. However, it does not run a rule engine for auto-hiding, auto-deleting, or auto-replying to comments. NapoleonCat’s Expert tier is the stronger tool for this job.

7. Can you publish from the NapoleonCat mobile app?

The NapoleonCat mobile app cannot publish or schedule posts. NapoleonCat built the app as a portable Social Inbox for moderation, with no content calendar and no push-notification posting. By contrast, RecurPost’s iOS and Android apps schedule posts, show the calendar, and manage the inbox.

8. Do clients need a NapoleonCat account to approve posts?

NapoleonCat requires the client to create a user account before reviewing content. NapoleonCat does not support a link-based review or email notifications for pending approvals. In contrast, RecurPost invites clients via email or a link on the Agency plan. It also shares a content calendar that clients can comment on without a login.

9. What integrations does NapoleonCat support?

NapoleonCat’s integrations settings list two connections: Bitly and Slack.
NapoleonCat reserves API access for its Enterprise plan and offers no Zapier, Make, or IFTTT connection. It also does not support Canva or Adobe links, or cloud storage imports. NapoleonCat addresses the missing CRM connectors with a built-in Social CRM that stores unlimited contact profiles with tags, notes, and an xlsx export.

10. How do you move from NapoleonCat to RecurPost?

RecurPost migration runs in four steps:
1. Invite each client through the password-free link on the Agency plan.
2. Re-authorise every platform connection, since connections do not transfer between tools.
3. Rebuild the schedule from a CSV bulk upload, because NapoleonCat exports no scheduled posts.
4. Plan for the moderation gap, because auto-moderation rules do not transfer and RecurPost has no equivalent.
