RecurPost vs Postcron is a comparison of 2 social media schedulers: RecurPost sells 20 social accounts for $79/month, while Postcron sells 140 social accounts for $166/month.
Beyond social accounts, the tools differ more in features. Postcron composes 1 text and 1 image set for every network. There are no client approval steps, user roles, or social inbox. Postcron Insights provides analytics reports for Facebook and Instagram only.
Conversely, RecurPost supports per-platform post caption and image customization from the same composer. On the Agency plan, there is an approval workflow for clients, and every plan has a social inbox to moderate DMs and comments.
Postcron aligns well with agencies managing client profiles across Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok profiles. However, RecurPost suits better when clients need to post to Google Business Profile, Threads, YouTube, or Bluesky. RecurPost supports clients who need to approve posts before publishing and export monthly branded reports.
RecurPost vs Postcron Overview: What Each Tool Does
The RecurPost social media management software helps agencies and freelancers publish posts for clients. RecurPost connects to 10 networks, customizes posts per network, and supports client approval queues on the Agency plan.

Conversely, Postcron is a scheduling and publishing tool that connects to 6 networks. The platform does not support post text or post image customization per network.

Here are 4 questions you should ask before you subscribe to either tool:
- How many social accounts do you manage and on which networks?
- Do the same posts need different captions on separate networks?
- Do your clients approve, comment on, or reject posts before they are published?
- Do you share performance reports with clients every month?
For example, a 4-person agency that manages 25 client accounts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Google Business Profile cannot post to the GBP with a Postcron plan. All 4 team members in your agency will have the same control and access to all 25 accounts. These facts will help you decide which tool best fits your client workflows. Note that none of these factors are price-based.

What Each Tool Costs Your Agency
Postcron sells more social accounts for less money than RecurPost. Postcron provides 5 different plans, as checked in the Postcron app on September 10, 2026:
- Free: 3 social accounts, 1 owner, 10 pending posts, and 20 MB native video
- Personal: $8/month (billed annually) or $9.99/month (billed monthly), 10 social accounts, and 100 pending posts
- Entrepreneur: $24 or $29/month for 21 social accounts, 1 team member, 500 pending posts, 12 months of post history, plus Insights and comment moderation (Facebook)
- Corporate: $58 or $69/month for 40 social accounts, 5 team members, and 2000 pending posts
- Enterprise: $166 or $199/month for 140 social accounts, 15 team members, and 3000 pending posts
Postcron’s annual billing gives you 2 months of free subscription.

In contrast, RecurPost has 4 plans:
- Starter: $9/month or $7.50/month for 2 social accounts, 1 user, and 10 daily posts per account
- Personal: $25/month or $20.83/month for 5 social accounts, 1 user, and 20 daily posts per account
- Agency: $79/month or $65.83/month for 20 social accounts and 3 users
- Enterprise: Custom pricing for 100+ social accounts
RecurPost charges $4/account/month as an add-on for extra accounts and $20/member/month as an add-on for extra users.
2 Postcron account limitations that you should note are:
- Postcron counts Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Pinterest as Core Accounts but not X/Twitter. It supports 1 X account on Personal, 2 on Entrepreneur, 4 on Corporate, and 8 on the Enterprise plans
- Pinterest Storyboards are counted as social accounts per plan limit. Therefore, a client with many Pinterest storyboards exhausts the plan limit before your agency can add other clients
What 40 Social Accounts Cost on Each Tool
| Tool | Which Plan to Buy | Monthly Cost for 40 Accounts | Per Social Account Pricing Breakdown |
| RecurPost | Agency plan | Plan price: ($79/month for 20 social accounts + $4/social account/month * 20) = $159/month | $3.98/account/month |
| Postcron | Corporate | $58/month (billed annually) or $69/month (monthly billing) for 40 social accounts | $1.45 or $1.73/account/month (annual or monthly billing) |
Postcron costs less per social account. On monthly billing, the $90 difference ($159 against $69) pays for 5 RecurPost capabilities that Postcron does not offer:
- Per-platform customization
- Client approval workflows
- User roles
- A social inbox
- Reporting across 10 platforms
RecurPost vs. Postcron differs in how you set up your account. RecurPost has a 14-day free trial on every plan without any credit card sign-up. However, Postcron only provides a 7-day free trial with credit card details for sign-up. There is no email and password sign-up for Postcron. As a result, all users need to sign in through Facebook, X, or Google.

Postcron is suitable for agencies and brands that limit posting to 6 networks. It works well for teams that publish uniform content per post per network and do not need a client approval workflow. Postcron does not fit agencies with fewer accounts to manage but complex workflows to follow.
Conversely, RecurPost is suitable for agencies and brands that manage multiple social accounts and need flexible scheduling, content recycling, and streamlined workflows. It works well for teams that publish content across multiple networks, want to reuse evergreen posts, and need more flexibility than a simple one-post-per-network approach. RecurPost does not fit teams with basic scheduling needs that do not need content recycling or multi-account management.
Which Social Networks Each Tool Publishes To
RecurPost publishes to 10 networks, while Postcron publishes to 6.

| Yes | Yes (Separate Storyboards are counted as accounts on each plan) | |
| TikTok | Yes | Yes (Separate tab for TikTok Settings in the Scheduled Posts dashboard) |
| Google Business Profile | Yes (with CTA buttons) | No |
| YouTube | Yes (Videos and Shorts) | No |
| Threads | Yes | No |
| Bluesky | Yes | No |
Postcron does not publish anything to YouTube. However, there is a YouTube video finder feature in the ‘Scheduled Post’ composer. This tool searches and adds YouTube video clips to posts on other networks.
Postcron supports direct publishing for Facebook Groups, a feature not supported on RecurPost.
Both tools allow you to publish to Instagram personal profiles through mobile push notifications instead of direct publishing.
Any client that needs to add a Google Business Profile or YouTube channel must complete the process through RecurPost rather than Postcron.
RecurPost is suitable for agencies with clients that post to Google Business Profile, YouTube, Threads, or Bluesky. However, it does not fit agencies that need direct publishing for Facebook Groups. Check per-network coverage for Google Business Profile, YouTube, Threads, and Bluesky on RecurPost.
Conversely, Postcron is suitable for agencies that require direct publishing to Facebook Groups. However, it does not support publishing to Google Business Profile, YouTube, Threads, or Bluesky.
Post Composer: What You Can Customize Per Platform
Postcron allows you to schedule 1 text message and 1 image to every network you select from the post composer. You can not change the caption or image per platform. The tool does not include 8 other useful daily features for agencies: different post text per platform, different images per platform, Instagram preview, alt text, first-comment scheduling, location, product, and collaborator tags, threads/multi-posting or polling/interactive posts, and A and B or rotating post variations.

However, Postcron composer supports the following 9 controls that agencies use daily:
- Per-platform previews for Facebook, Pinterest, and X/Twitter
- Feed or Story toggle for Facebook and Instagram posts
- Character and hashtag counters per platform
- Hashtag Finder to search and insert hashtags
- AI Creator tab to write AI post captions from prompts
- Platform-native URL shortener
- Platform-native RSS feed reader without extra cost
- Per-post and per-account watermarking
- Platform-native royalty-free Flickr image library

RecurPost per-platform post customization options from one composer allow you to set the following:
- Google Business Profile CTA buttons (Learn More, Sign Up, Book Now, Call Now, and Buy)
- Instagram first comment, collaborator invites, location tagging on Reels, people and product tagging, and custom thumbnails
- TikTok privacy status, comment, duet and stitch controls, and branded content disclosure
- YouTube privacy status, custom title, category selection, and tags
- LinkedIn first comment, document and carousel upload in PDF, PPT, and DOC
- Pinterest custom title and destination link
- Facebook story, reel, feed posts, first comment, text backgrounds
- All platforms alt text on images, built-in image editor with platform-specific crop presets

Post types supported on both tools:
| Post Type | RecurPost | Postcron |
| Single image post | Yes (supports FB text background) | Yes |
| Multi-image/carousel | Yes (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) | Yes |
| Video post | Yes (thumbnail customization) | Yes |
| Reel/Short video | Yes (IG, FB, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) | Yes (Instagram Reels) |
| Story | Yes (Instagram and Facebook) | Yes (Facebook and Instagram) |
| Link post | Yes (FB, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Pinterest) | Yes |
| Text-only post | Yes (FB, X, LinkedIn, Threads) | Yes |
| First comment scheduling | Yes (IG, FB, LinkedIn, YouTube) | No |
| Thread/multi-post | Yes (X, Threads) | No |
| Polling/interactive | No | No |
| Pinterest Pin | Yes | Yes |
| YouTube video/Shorts | Yes (supports title, tag, category, description, privacy, made for kids) | No |
| Google Business Profile post | Yes (offers, CTA, event, update types) | No |
The difference between RecurPost and Postcron highlights per-platform manual work on Postcron. This adds significant time to an agency’s workflow. For example, 1 LinkedIn paragraph post and 1 Instagram one-liner post need to be created, scheduled, and edited twice on Postcron. The built-in image editor, ArtStudio, fails to load correctly and asks for a separate sign-up before you use it.

The differences between the tools increase when posts fail to publish. Postcron reports its own tool-level errors. There are no post-publishing error notifiers. By contrast, RecurPost notifies with 850+ platform errors such as:
- image size mismatches
- token false expiry
- wrong video codecs
- Google Business Profile posts rejected after initial acceptance
Orbital Media, a digital consulting agency featured in RecurPost’s case studies, reports failed posts falling from 6 to 8 a week to nearly zero per month 60 days after moving its publishing calendar onto RecurPost.

Check all functions supported in the RecurPost post composer.
Bulk Scheduling
Postcron’s bulk CSV import and export template has 8 columns:
- Text
- Year
- Month
- Day
- Hour (0 to 23)
- Minutes
- Image URL
- Link
There are no columns for video, per-platform fields, or first comment. This stops Postcron from bulk-scheduling video or customizing bulk posts per network.

With Postcron, your clients get a bulk preview for post batches before they upload. The bulk posts are saved for reuse.
Scheduling features supported on each tool:
| Scheduling Features | RecurPost | Postcron |
| One-time scheduling | Yes | Yes |
| Recurring post scheduling | Yes | Yes |
| Best time to post suggestions | Yes | No (Predefined Times is a posting queue, not a suggestion) |
| Bulk scheduling via CSV | Yes | Yes |
| Bulk scheduling via RSS | Yes | No |
| Auto-publishing (no approval needed) | Yes | Yes |
| Approval before publish | Yes | Yes (1 Approval gate toggle for account owner) |
| Queue-based scheduling | Yes | Yes (Predefined Time – Auto Schedule) |
| Time slot customization | Yes | Yes |
| Time zone settings per account | Yes | Yes |
| Video upload & auto-publish | Yes | Yes |
| Bulk scheduling for videos | Yes | No |
| Customization of bulk posts | Yes | No |
Conversely, RecurPost bulk-schedules from CSV and RSS for different post types (images, videos, texts). There is a 4-step import wizard that allows you to apply bulk customizations before scheduling. These include prefix, suffix, first comments, hashtags, and network-specific customization.

Content Libraries and Recurring Posts
Postcron does not have any content library to save posts for reuse. There are no folders, tags, or categories for posts. The tool schedules recurring posts.
RecurPost saves posts in libraries with one-time, seasonal, or recurring time slots. It applies the time slots to several days and many social accounts in one action.

Calendar and Queue
Postcron’s Scheduled Posts screen includes Past Posts, Future Posts, and Calendar tabs. There are list and compact views, search, date filter, and post-type filters on the calendar.

The calendar and queue tab supports:
- bulk approve
- draft
- delete
- per-post draft
- edit
- reschedule
- multiply
- post now
- delete
The composer actions include Post Now, Schedule, Predefined Times, and a delay in minutes between posts.
Postcron’s calendar shows day, week, and month with post thumbnails, published posts in green, and unpublished in red.

There is no drag-and-drop to reschedule directly on the calendar. You cannot filter by social accounts or platforms. There is no Instagram grid preview.
Conversely, RecurPost’s calendar reschedules by drag-and-drop. You get post previews for the Instagram grid. There is a calendar link for clients that they open in view-only mode without any account. The shareable calendars have an allowance per plan, including:
- 2 on Personal
- 5 on Agency
- an add-on of $10/month/block of 10

Check scheduling and recycling on RecurPost to see how to move a week of a client’s posts with one drag. You have to reopen each post on Postcron to do the same work.
Client Onboarding: Which Approval Workflows and Team Roles Each Tool Supports
Postcron does not support client approval workflows. There are no user roles for team members. This tool does not support several client-facing workflows. Clients cannot review scheduled posts or access external review links without logging in. It also does not support comments or feedback on posts, or approve/reject/revision workflows. There are also no shareable content calendars, pending-approval emails, or separate workspaces for individual clients or brands.
Postcron’s Team Members screen allows you to add a member who has access to the same controls as the account owner. Every team member gets the same controls.

RecurPost sends invite links or emails to the client. However, these client-facing features are available starting with the Agency plan:
- Password-free client onboarding
- Dedicated client workspaces
- Client approval workflows

RecurPost’s latest content workflow management lets you:
- Create custom multi-step approval paths to align with your team’s review process
- Start from role templates or create custom roles for team members per workspace with custom permission settings (each role can be changed by the owner within a workspace at any time)
- A social media Kanban workflow view to track posts through different stages like ‘Ideas, Writing, Review, Client Approval, and Scheduled’

On Postcron, adding a client as a Team Member gives them access with controls to social accounts of other clients.
RecurPost supports teams where junior members must not have access to all clients. However, it does not fit a solo freelancer who needs an approval workflow on the $9 Starter plan. Check the RecurPost workflow for client approval and collaboration.
Social Inbox: Which Platforms Support Comments and DM Automation?
Postcron does not support a social inbox for any platforms. However, there is a comment moderation option in the Insights tab for Facebook posts and Instagram posts published through Postcron.
For DMs, mentions, or comments from other networks, you have to check the platform itself to reply. There is no auto-reply, team member assignment, AI-assisted replies, filters, or labels. There are no keyword-triggered DM workflows, welcome messages, or DM templates for any platform.
Conversely, RecurPost’s social inbox supports 4 business account types:
- Facebook Pages
- Instagram Business
- LinkedIn Company Pages
- Google Business Profile
Your 30 days of conversation history is auto-imported into RecurPost’s inbox on first connection. The conversations are sorted into:
- To Review
- Assigned
- Reviewed
- Labels tabs

Draft AI replies for comments and DMs and edit them before sending. However, you cannot connect Instagram, LinkedIn, or Facebook personal profiles, or Facebook Groups to RecurPost’s inbox.
RecurPost allows you to automate Instagram DMs with keywords. The newest update gives you full control over who receives the DMs. There is a new ‘DM Only If Follow’ toggle option to send messages to followers. So, if a user comments but doesn’t follow, they don’t get the message until they become your Instagram follower. There is a Non-Follower Flow that prompts a user to follow your profile to get DMs. This workflow directly impacts follower growth. Send a clickable CTA button inside the DMs. It allows you to set a follower-only account condition as well.

The action is noticeable for a client’s Reel that draws 200 comments in 1 night. Check the full workflow in the RecurPost social inbox.
RecurPost works for agencies that need to respond to client DMs and comments. However, it doesn’t work for teams that need to track X, TikTok, or Pinterest conversations.
Analytics: Which Reporting and White-Label Features Each Tool Supports
Postcron’s Insights supports only 2 networks for reporting:
- Facebook Pages
- Instagram Business accounts
The Insights tab includes metrics such as:
- Growth
- Demographics
- Post Performance
- Post History
Postcron Insights reports for metrics per platform such as:
- Instagram: Followers, reach, engaged accounts, views, and published posts for 7 days, 28 days, or 1 month
- Facebook Page: Total likes, engaged accounts, engagements, page views, published posts, fans history, and gained and lost fans for 7 days, 28 days, this month, last month, or custom period

There is an export option to download individual platform reports as a PDF.

Postcron’s Insights also does not support agency features such as:
- Custom report builder
- Scheduled email delivery of reports
- Shareable report link
- Cross-network or multi-platform reports
- Competitor comparison
- White-labeled reports with export options
RecurPost supports all of the above features except competitor comparison. The standard workspace report can be shared as a branded link or emailed weekly or monthly, while Custom Reports export as PDF. There are 60 templates, 202 metrics, and 11 report types for 10 platforms. However, Custom Reports are included from the Agency plan onwards. The Agency Plan also includes white-labeled branded reports, scheduled reports, and Chat with Reports AI.

You must note that link posts for X/Twitter cost $0.20/post through a prepaid X URL Wallet, as charges for API access.
The difference between the tools is clear when your clients need monthly reporting for Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok with your own logo. Postcron only generates and exports unbranded Instagram reports as PDFs. Check the RecurPost analytics and reports to learn about the templates, metrics, platforms, and report types.
RecurPost is suitable for all agencies that need to share monthly performance and platform reports with clients. However, it does not suit teams that have to export reports in CSV, Excel, PowerPoint, or Google Slides.
Postcron is suitable for agencies prioritizing bulk scheduling at a lower cost. However, it does not suit teams that require deep reporting insights or analytics beyond Facebook and Instagram.

AI Features: Which AI Tools Each Tool Includes
Postcron only supports AI in the composer to write captions from prompts. By contrast, RecurPost’s AI writes captions, generates images, drafts inbox replies, and analyzes reports.
Postcron does not need any external API key to use the AI Creator in the composer tab. You input a prompt, and the tool generates post text. You will receive 1000 generations on the Enterprise plan. The role of AI in Postcron ends in the composer and does not extend to any other features.

RecurPost natively integrates AI tools across 4 workflows:
- Generate captions in the Share a Post composer
- Generate images in the Composer
- Draft inbox replies in the Inbox tab
- Chat with Reports in the Reports tab (Agency and Enterprise plans)

Buy AI posts and AI images at $10/block of 200. The difference is clear between the two tools when you manage a campaign for a client. RecurPost generates:
- post text
- images
- inbox
- comment replies
- performance reports
Postcron AI is limited to generating post captions.
| AI Feature | RecurPost | Postcron |
| AI caption/text generation | Yes (built-in ‘Share a Post: AI Assistant (write with AI)’ composer-based) | Yes (Schedule Posts – AI Creator – Type your prompts – Create with AI (1000 Limit)) |

| AI-based performance insights | Yes | No |
Paid Ads, Mobile Apps, Integrations, and Support
RecurPost supports paid ads, mobile apps, and native integrations, and offers email and chat support on the Personal, Agency, and Enterprise plans. Postcron supports mobile apps and handles support through a ticket queue on every plan, including Enterprise.
Paid Ads
RecurPost allows paid ads through Boost Post for Facebook or Instagram. Configure published posts through controls such as:
- Per-day or total ad budget
- Fixed start and end dates
- 4 targeting dimensions imported from Meta ad account
- Paid versus organic toggle in Reports

Boosting is listed as a $5/month add-on on the plans and pricing page. You cannot build or edit custom audiences.
Postcron does not support paid ads at all. There are no separate add-on options to buy.
Mobile Apps
Postcron has mobile apps for iOS and Android. Both auto-publish and send push notifications. However, the app doesn’t include 4 features from the desktop version:
- Post single and multi-image posts only
- Apply watermark without a configuration option
- No bulk Excel upload
- Post previews are less reliable
RecurPost’s newest mobile update includes:
- One-off posts workflow
- Watermarks
- DM automation
The app lets you create and schedule posts.
Integrations
Postcron integrates only with six social networks and does not offer connections to other platforms or tools. There are no public API, webhooks, Zapier, n8n, Make, or IFTTT. For media support, there is no Canva, Adobe, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive import. You cannot connect any CRM or project management tools like Slack or Zoho. There are no e-commerce integrations or any browser extensions. Flickr image library, YouTube video finder, and ArtStudio are the only native integrations.
Conversely, RecurPost supports integrations through a public API, Zapier, an n8n node, an MCP server, and RSS. There is a Chrome extension to ‘quick save’ and publish posts. Media support integrations include Canva, G-Drive, Giphy, Unsplash, and Pixabay.

Customer Support
Postcron does not have a live chat on any plan. It accepts requests through many in-app steps. There is a separate ticket portal, ‘Support Center – Support Ticket System’. This platform asks for separate login to track tickets. The fastest reply we recorded in testing was 5 hours. It lacks phone support, video tutorials, a community forum, and a dedicated account manager on any plan. Postcron provides a help center with blogs and an onboarding checklist on first login.
RecurPost includes email and chat support (24×5) on the Personal, Agency, and Enterprise plans. Every plan, including Starter, gets the knowledge base with video tutorials and support articles.

Social Listening: Does Either Tool Track Keywords, Competitors, or Brand Mentions?
Neither RecurPost nor Postcron supports social listening. Both platforms lack features for monitoring keywords, competitors, hashtags, or mentions. To check mentions through Postcron, click ‘View Post’ in Posts History. It will open the network in a separate tab.
RecurPost’s Google Alerts integration assists in monitoring content as a curation feature instead of listening. If you need social listening as a full service for client rosters, consider a second tool apart from either scheduler.
Where RecurPost Fits Agency Workflows, and Where It Does Not
