RecurPost and Hopper HQ both publish scheduled social content for clients. However, they differ in their pricing models. Hopper HQ charges $6 or $12 per connected social account each month; hence, the total cost increases with each added account. In contrast, RecurPost’s Agency plan charges a flat fee of $79 per month for 20 social accounts. This pricing difference shapes the comparison as your agency manages more accounts.
Beyond pricing, the RecurPost vs Hopper HQ comparison covers 3 features Hopper HQ does not offer on any plan. This includes:
- Google Business Profile publishing
- Social inbox
- Client reports with your agency’s logo
However, Hopper HQ still remains a better fit for a small client base focused on Instagram. The key difference comes down to scale and workflow needs. As the number of client accounts grows, RecurPost can become more cost-effective while also providing features that Hopper HQ lacks. This comparison explains the account count at which RecurPost offers better value. It also explores how the differences can impact your client workflow.

RecurPost vs Hopper HQ: An Overview of Both Tools
RecurPost is social media management software designed for managing multiple clients, while Hopper HQ is a visual planner focused on Instagram publishing. Both tools support scheduling across 10 publishing destinations. However, RecurPost and Hopper HQ differ in the workflows they support before and after publishing.

Hopper HQ offers 2 plans with pricing per connected social account and unlimited posts on both. Its planning features include:
- Visual planner
- Drag-and-drop calendar
- Instagram grid view
- Built-in image editor
- Hashtag explorer
- Use1.link link-in-bio tool

These features support content preparation and publishing. Additionally, RecurPost includes tools for managing client workflows.
RecurPost offers flat-rate plans with defined capacity limits. For instance, its Agency plan includes-
- separate client workspaces
- approval workflows
- password-free client onboarding
- white-label reports
RecurPost also supports a social inbox, Instagram DM automation, and Google Business Profile publishing, whereas Hopper HQ does not offer these features.
These differences make account count and team size central to the RecurPost vs Hopper HQ cost comparison. Since RecurPost charges $20 for each additional seat beyond the 3 included seats, larger teams affect total cost. In contrast, Hopper HQ bills each connected profile, hence its cost increases with account count. Therefore, it is important to count both your connected accounts and team members when comparing costs.
For instance, consider a four-person agency with 8 clients and 14 connected accounts, including 2 local business clients. The agency pays $168 per month for Hopper HQ’s Scale plan. The plan does not support Google Business Profile publishing. By comparison, the agency pays $119 per month for RecurPost’s Agency plan with one additional seat. It also supports publishing Google Business Profile posts for both local clients.
If you are comparing more than these two products, the Hopper HQ alternatives sorted by switching trigger covers the wider field.
RecurPost vs Hopper HQ Pricing: What an Agency Actually Pays
Hopper HQ charges $6 per social account per month on Grow and $12 on Scale. In contrast, RecurPost’s Agency plan costs $79 per month for 20 social accounts and 3 users. Hopper HQ bills every connected profile separately. As a result, its total cost increases with account count without a spending cap or volume discount.
Hopper HQ Grow includes 1 user but excludes content approvals and team permissions. For teams that require these features, Hopper HQ Scale includes unlimited users, team permissions, and content approvals. These capabilities are available at twice the per-account rate of the Grow plan. Neither plan offers a free version, and Hopper HQ requires a credit card for its 14-day trial.
Conversely, RecurPost offers plans from $9 per month to custom Enterprise pricing, with different account limits and client management features:
- Starter, $9/month: 2 social accounts, 1 user
- Personal, $25/month: 5 social accounts, 1 user, 2 shareable calendars
- Agency, $79/month: 20 social accounts, 3 users, client workspaces, approval workflow, white-label reports, password-free client onboarding
- Enterprise: custom, from 100 social accounts
Beyond these allowances, RecurPost charges $4 per additional social account and $20 per additional team member each month on any plan. Unlike Hopper HQ, RecurPost does not require a credit card for its 14-day trial.
| Connected accounts | Hopper HQ Grow | Hopper HQ Scale | RecurPost cheapest path | RecurPost Agency |
| 3 | $18 | $36 | $13 (Starter plus 1 account) | $79 |
| 5 | $30 | $60 | $25 (Personal) | $79 |
| 10 | $60 | $120 | $45 (Personal plus 5 accounts) | $79 |
| 20 | $120 | $240 | $79 (Agency) | $79 |
| 30 | $180 | $360 | $119 (Agency plus 10 accounts) | $119 |
Monthly billing, checked against both pricing pages on 31 August 2026. Annual billing takes Hopper HQ to $5 and $10 per account. The RecurPost cheapest path costs less than the Agency plan at low account counts, but it carries one user and no approvals, workspaces, or white-label reports.
Two crossover points clarify the pricing difference between Hopper HQ and RecurPost. Hopper HQ Scale costs $84 per month at 7 accounts, exceeding RecurPost Agency’s $79 price. Similarly, Hopper HQ Grow reaches $84 at 14 accounts, while RecurPost Agency remains at $79. Therefore, once the account count passes these thresholds, RecurPost Agency becomes the lower-cost option. Notably, it remains within the plan’s included allowance of 20 accounts.
However, these crossover points change as teams grow because RecurPost charges for additional users, whereas Hopper HQ Scale includes unlimited users. For example, a 5-person team pays $119 per month for RecurPost Agency, including 2 additional users at $20 each. By comparison, Hopper HQ Scale costs $120 per month for 10 accounts. Citing another example, a 10-person team pays $219 per month for RecurPost Agency. By comparison, Hopper HQ Scale costs $216 per month for 18 accounts. These examples highlight how Hopper HQ Scale can be more cost-effective for larger teams managing fewer accounts.
For an agency managing 20 accounts and requiring client approvals, Hopper HQ Scale costs $240 per month. In contrast, RecurPost Agency costs $79 for the same account count with up to 3 users. This price includes-
- approvals
- client workspaces
- white-label reports
This pricing model gives the agency a monthly saving of $161.
The pricing difference can also work in the opposite direction for smaller teams. For instance, a two-person shop with 6 Instagram accounts and no approval requirement pays $36 per month for Hopper HQ Grow. On RecurPost, the same shop requires the Personal plan at $25. It also requires 1 additional account at $4, and a second seat at $20. Therefore, the resulting monthly cost is $49 per month. As a result, Hopper HQ costs $13 less per month for this specific roster. This makes it the lower-cost option as long as the account and seat requirements remain the same.
See RecurPost plans and pricing for the full list of add-ons and their individual prices.
Which Social Networks RecurPost and Hopper HQ Publish To
Hopper HQ does not support Google Business Profile publishing, and its YouTube support covers Shorts only. In contrast, RecurPost publishes
- Google Business Profile posts
- YouTube Shorts
- Long-form YouTube videos
These differences affect agencies managing local businesses or publishing longer videos.

| Network | RecurPost | Hopper HQ | Notes |
| Facebook Pages | Yes | Yes | Direct publishing on both |
| Facebook Groups | Yes | No | RecurPost publishes by push notification |
| Facebook profiles | Yes | No | RecurPost publishes by push notification |
| Instagram Business | Yes | Yes | Direct publishing on both |
| Instagram personal | Yes | Yes | Push notification on both, not direct publishing |
| X | Yes | Yes | Posts past 280 characters need the account’s own X Premium |
| LinkedIn profiles and Pages | Yes | Yes | RecurPost adds document and carousel uploads |
| Yes | Yes | Custom title and destination link on both | |
| Google Business Profile | Yes | No | RecurPost adds CTA buttons and rejection monitoring |
| YouTube full videos | Yes | No | Hopper HQ covers Shorts only |
| YouTube Shorts | Yes | Yes | Hopper HQ adds a title and tags |
| TikTok | Yes | Yes | No TikTok carousels in Hopper HQ |
| Threads | Yes | Yes | Supported on both |
| Bluesky | Yes | Yes | Hopper HQ leaves Bluesky out of its mobile app |
| Snapchat | No | No | Neither tool publishes to Snapchat |

RecurPost supports Google Business Profile posts with CTA buttons, such as Book, Call Now, and Offer. It also monitors posts for rejections that Google can issue without notification after initially accepting them. This monitoring helps agencies identify rejected posts that could otherwise appear published in their scheduling tool.
While Hopper HQ lacks these publishing options, it supports Threads and Bluesky. Hopper HQ also supports Instagram personal accounts through mobile push notifications. Similarly, RecurPost uses notifications for personal accounts because these accounts require manual publishing.
In our testing, Instagram personal-account publishing required someone to open the notification on a phone and complete the post manually. Therefore, an agency publishing one post to each of the 6 personal accounts must repeat the same manual process for every account. This requires six manual publishing steps with either tool. This requirement affects daily workloads even though both tools list support for these accounts.
Google Business Profile support creates a different workflow requirement. For example, an agency managing a dental practice and a restaurant may need to publish Google Business Profile posts for both clients. With Hopper HQ, the agency must publish those posts separately through Google’s interface. Meanwhile, Instagram content is managed in Hopper HQ. As a result, each client’s publishing work spans two systems. The Hopper HQ calendar does not show the Google Business Profile posts.
RecurPost supports agencies that need Google Business Profile publishing or long-form YouTube scheduling. However, RecurPost may not be the ideal fit for agencies that require Snapchat publishing, as neither tool supports it. For details on these supported workflows, see the Google Business Profile scheduler and the YouTube scheduler.
Scheduling, Publishing and Per-Platform Customization
Hopper HQ schedules individual posts or batches of media. However, its recurring publishing options are limited to individual post repeat settings. In contrast, RecurPost supports-
- recurring time slots
- CSV uploads
- RSS feeds
RecurPost also provides additional controls tailored to each social network.

Hopper HQ includes one-time scheduling, a posting queue, customizable time slots, and separate time zones for each connected account. Its “Use My Post Schedule Time” option suggests best posting times, while auto-publishing handles scheduled publication. For teams that require content review, Hopper HQ Scale also supports approval before publishing. Separate account time zones help agencies schedule content for clients in different regions.

However, Hopper HQ lacks several features for managing recurring client content and customizing posts. Beyond individual post repeat settings, it does not offer recurring schedules or RSS feeds. The platform also lacks a link shortener and UTM parameters. Furthermore, users cannot make per-platform image changes or view per-platform previews. Finally, Hopper HQ does not support A/B post variations.
Without pre-publish validation, an incorrectly sized image can fail during publishing rather than trigger a warning during composition.

Hopper HQ’s documentation lists CSV bulk upload, but we could not find the option during our August 2026 testing. Support had not clarified its availability at the time of writing. Therefore, agencies that require CSV uploads should confirm access with Hopper HQ before including this feature in their workflow.
RecurPost provides publishing controls for individual networks. These include:
- Google Business Profile CTA buttons
- Instagram collaborator invitations
- Instagram location, people, and product tagging
RecurPost also supports:
- TikTok comment
- Duet and Stitch controls
- YouTube categories and tags
- Facebook text-background posts
For image preparation, its editor includes platform-specific crop presets and accepts images up to 30 MB.
Beyond post customization, failure handling affects how agencies resolve publishing issues. RecurPost displays failure reasons from more than 850 documented platform failure types, including-
- incorrect token-expiry errors
- codec mismatches
- Google Business Profile rejections after initial acceptance.
These explanations help agencies identify the cause of a failed post. By comparison, Hopper HQ does not validate posts before publishing. Therefore, it is important for agencies to check publishing results to identify failures that affect client schedules.
Bulk Scheduling
Hopper HQ supports bulk scheduling through Bulk Create that uploads multiple images or videos. Additionally, it displays the resulting posts for editing on one page. Each post has its own caption, first comment, location, posting time, and destination account. For image-based content, this workflow allows agencies to prepare posts together without formatting a spreadsheet.
However, Hopper HQ’s Bulk Create requires media files; hence, it does not support batches of text-only or link posts. Although Hopper HQ documents CSV import, the option was unavailable during our August 2026 testing.
In contrast, RecurPost supports bulk scheduling across post types through CSV uploads and RSS feeds. It also allows content to be added to libraries or directly to the queue. RecurPost also imports past posts from connected social accounts, allowing agencies to build content libraries without preparing files. However, RSS feeds cost an additional $10 per feed per month. As a result, agencies should include this charge when planning their publishing costs.

Content Libraries and Recycling
Hopper HQ does not offer a content library for saving and organizing reusable posts. It also lacks several content organization and scheduling features, including folders, tags, and categories. It also does not support library-based scheduling or importing posts from connected profiles.
However, its composer allows individual posts to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Hopper HQ’s content recycling is limited to these individual post settings.
In contrast, RecurPost stores posts in content libraries and assigns those libraries to recurring time slots. This allows agencies to keep publishing evergreen content without recreating posts for each scheduled slot. While Hopper HQ saves captions and notes for reuse, these features support only part of the content reuse. This is especially limiting for accounts focused on Instagram.

Calendar and Visual Planning
Hopper HQ’s calendar is a main feature for agencies that prioritize visual planning. It includes –
- drag-and-drop rescheduling
- day, week, and month views, post previews
- account and platform filters, an Instagram grid view

However, Hopper HQ does not use color coding to distinguish scheduled, published, and failed posts on the calendar.

In contrast, RecurPost also supports drag-and-drop rescheduling and provides shareable calendar links that clients can open without an account. These calendars have plan-specific limits:
- 2 in the Personal plan
- 5 in the Agency Plan
- Starter offers them as an add-on
Agencies can purchase additional calendars in blocks of 10 for $10 per month.

For agencies rescheduling a week of posts after a client changes a launch date, both tools support the same drag-and-drop workflow. Therefore, this task alone does not establish an advantage for either RecurPost or Hopper HQ.
Client Onboarding, Approval and Team Collaboration
Hopper HQ does not include content approvals on its Grow plan. Instead, Hopper HQ limits approvals to its Scale plan that doubles the per-account rate across the entire client roster. In contrast, RecurPost Agency offers a more complete client management setup for $79 per month, including:
- internal and external approvals
- client workspaces
- password-free onboarding for $79 per month

Hopper HQ provides a structured approval workflow. Users submit posts for review, while team members with Full Publishing or Admin permission can approve or reject them. Invited team members and clients can also leave comments and feedback directly on each post.
Hopper HQ separates client access through account permissions rather than individual client workspaces. Each team member receives an Admin or Member role. Hopper HQ then assigns one of six permission levels for each social account, such as:
- Hidden, which removes the account from that person’s view entirely
- Account Owner, the client permission
- Read Only
- Draft Posts Only
- Full Publishing
- Admin

This account-level permission system gives Hopper HQ teams detailed access control. For example, one team member can hold a different permission for every connected account.
However, Hopper HQ does not provide separate client workspaces or custom roles. It also lacks link-based reviews that work without an account and shareable calendar links. Email notifications for content awaiting approval are also unavailable.
The missing email notification adds a manual step to the approval process. Hopper HQ places submitted content in the approval queue but does not notify the client that posts are waiting. In this case, the agency must contact the client separately to request a review.
In contrast, RecurPost supports a different client onboarding process. An agency can invite a client by email or link. The client then connects their social accounts without sharing passwords. In addition, the client also avoids maintaining a separate dashboard login.

Hopper HQ does not provide a client-facing connection link. As a result, the agency must collect credentials or guide the client through connecting accounts. Importantly, the client must complete this process within a Hopper HQ account. While other schedulers also support credential-free connections, RecurPost applies this process across the client publishing workflow. Notably, this approach is not limited to a listening feature or higher-priced plan.

Approval requirements also affect the total price. For example, a 6-account roster costs $36 per month on Hopper HQ Grow. If one client contract requires content approval, the entire roster must move to Hopper HQ Scale at $72 per month. Therefore, one client’s approval requirement doubles the cost for the complete roster, including the 5 accounts that do not require approval.
From the RecurPost perspective, approval requirements do not need to increase the cost for the entire roster. RecurPost Agency includes approval workflows within the plan. Additionally, agencies can manage client approvals without moving all accounts to a higher-priced tier. This makes the pricing model more flexible for agencies managing clients with different approval requirements.
RecurPost fits agencies whose clients approve posts before publication. However, RecurPost may not be the ideal fit for teams that conduct only internal reviews and do not require separate client workspaces. Those teams may pay for client management features they do not use. See client approval and collaboration for details on how RecurPost’s approval queue and client workspaces work.
Social Inbox and Engagement
Hopper HQ does not offer a social inbox, and its help center lists this feature as unsupported. Therefore, agencies must respond to comments, messages, and mentions directly on each social network.
Without an inbox, Hopper HQ cannot retrieve conversations, send replies, assign conversations to team members, or provide automatic replies. It also lacks conversation labels, tags, and filters. As a result, agencies using Hopper HQ manage publishing and engagement in separate places.
In contrast, RecurPost’s social inbox supports 4 business account types:
- Facebook Pages
- Instagram Business accounts
- LinkedIn Company Pages
- Google Business Profile
However, its inbox does not support Instagram or Facebook personal profiles, Facebook Groups, or LinkedIn personal profiles. This makes RecurPost’s inbox more relevant to agencies managing supported business accounts than those managing personal profiles.
When an account first connects, RecurPost imports the previous 30 days of conversations. Its inbox organizes conversations under –
- To Review
- Assigned
- Reviewed
- Labels
Notably, AI reply drafts do not consume AI post credits. For agencies that need to divide engagement tasks, conversation assignment is available starting with the Agency plan. For example, a client campaign may receive 40 comments across Instagram and a Facebook Page in one afternoon. With Hopper HQ, the agency must manage those comments separately on each network. Hopper HQ provides no shared reply record or conversation assignment. Therefore, teammates must coordinate outside the tool.
Conversely, RecurPost brings these conversations into one centralized inbox. Notably, agencies can assign conversations to specific team members. Additionally, team members can manage and coordinate responses within the platform. This keeps engagement organized without requiring separate workflows for each social network.

See the RecurPost social inbox for details about supported accounts and engagement workflows.
DM Automation
Hopper HQ does not support direct messaging or DM automation on any platform. It also lacks triggered workflows, a visual flow builder, welcome messages, keyword-based automatic replies, and saved DM templates. Therefore, agencies using Hopper HQ need a separate tool for automated DM campaigns.
In contrast, RecurPost automates Instagram DMs using keyword triggers and includes clickable CTA buttons within messages. RecurPost can also publish a public reply alongside the DM. It can also delay sending the message until the recipient follows the account. These features allow agencies to run comment-to-DM campaigns on Instagram Reels within RecurPost.

RecurPost applies two follower conditions to that flow. DM Only If Follow holds the message until the commenter follows the account, and the Non-Follower Flow replies with a follow prompt and then releases the original message once the follow completes. Both conditions matter only to agencies that run comment-to-DM campaigns as a client deliverable. Hopper HQ has no equivalent setting, because it does not send direct messages at all.
Social Listening, Hashtags and Competitor Tracking
Neither RecurPost nor Hopper HQ offers social listening. Therefore, neither may be the ideal fit if your agency requires this feature. For tools that support listening, see the alternatives sorted by switching trigger.
Hopper HQ does not provide keyword monitoring, competitor tracking, mention alerts, or a listening dashboard. Similarly, RecurPost does not offer social listening, sentiment analysis, or competitor benchmarking. RecurPost’s audience data is limited to the information platform APIs provide for connected accounts.
However, Hopper HQ provides more hashtag research features. Its Hashtag Explorer finds related and trending hashtags and saves hashtag groups. On the other hand, its hashtag analytics compares performance through likes and comments. RecurPost also saves hashtag groups for reuse but does not offer hashtag discovery or performance reporting. Therefore, agencies that include Instagram hashtag research in their client retainers would require an alternative way to complete this work when switching to RecurPost.

Analytics, Reporting, and White-Label Reports
Hopper HQ displays performance data for individual accounts but does not produce client reports. In contrast, RecurPost creates reports that agencies can brand, schedule, and share with clients.
Hopper HQ reports platform-level reach and impressions alongside post performance and engagement metrics. Its Instagram analytics provide the most detail, covering:
- Account performance
- Follower growth
- Reach
- Impressions
- Profile views
- Website clicks
- Audience information
Hopper HQ also includes best-time-to-post data, post performance, and hashtag analytics for Instagram.

However, Hopper HQ does not combine account data into a single dashboard. Therefore, it is important for agencies to review each account separately. It also lacks custom date ranges, a report builder, scheduled email delivery, and report sharing through links or PDFs. Competitor comparisons, white-label reports, and AI summaries are also unavailable.
Hopper HQ’s documentation describes CSV, PNG, and SVG exports, but we could not find export controls during our August 2026 testing. Importantly, until Hopper HQ confirms their availability, agencies should plan to compile client reporting data manually.
In contrast, RecurPost released Custom Reports on 6 August 2026. This feature allows agencies to select report metrics and compare social profiles using different metric combinations. RecurPost includes Custom Reports on the Agency plan, while other plans receive a 14-day trial of the feature. The Agency plan also includes white-label reports. Other reporting options include:
- Scheduled reports within workspaces
- Reports grouped by Post Labels
- 16 Google Business Profile metrics

Post Labels supply the grouping for that reporting. RecurPost manages labels from one place, allows multiple labels on a single one-off or library post, and builds label-wise reports from published posts. Therefore, an agency can report by campaign, content theme, or client segment rather than by account alone. Hopper HQ has no label taxonomy and no label-based reporting.
However, RecurPost applies a separate usage charge to X reporting. X Reports are available to all RecurPost users, with data usage billed through the prepaid X URL Wallet. X charges for API access, so RecurPost passes this cost to users rather than including it in the plan price.
RecurPost also reports on Google Business Profile, covering customer actions, impressions, reviews, ratings, search keywords, Q&A engagement, and publishing activity. Hopper HQ reports none of this, because it does not connect to Google Business Profile at all.
For example, an agency may need a monthly report covering Instagram, Facebook, and Google Business Profile with its logo displayed at the top. Hopper HQ cannot produce this report because it does not connect to Google Business Profile. It also cannot consolidate data from other accounts. It also lacks report branding and scheduled email delivery. These differences make RecurPost a fit for agencies that provide branded client reports. In comparison, Hopper HQ supports users who review individual account performance on screen.

See RecurPost analytics and reports for details about each report type.
AI Features
Hopper HQ includes unlimited AI on both plans without a credit system or an API key requirement. In contrast, RecurPost applies usage limits to AI posts and images. As a result, agencies should consider both cost and feature coverage.
Hopper HQ generates captions and hashtags from prompts and changes the tone of existing text within its composer. Its AI Strategy Planner also uses connected account data to create a three-week content plan. This plan includes:
- Ideas
- Themes
- Suggested post types
- Recommended posting times
- Platform-specific tips

You can then turn any idea into a post. However, Hopper HQ does not generate images, draft replies, or provide AI performance insights. Its AI also writes for one platform at a time rather than creating platform-specific variations in a single request.

RecurPost provides AI features across content creation, engagement, and reporting. It generates images within the composer and drafts inbox replies without consuming AI post credits. Additionally, it allows users to ask questions about reports in conversational language. RecurPost charges $10 per 200 AI posts or AI images. On the other hand, its Agency plan includes more than 10 AI features across composing, replying, and reporting.

These differences make each tool relevant to different agency tasks. Hopper HQ supports unlimited caption generation. Its Strategy Planner helps agencies prepare content ideas for a new client. In contrast, RecurPost does not offer an equivalent three-week plan based on connected accounts. However, its AI supports a broader workflow for agencies that also need image generation, reply drafting, and report analysis.
Paid Ads, Mobile Apps, Integrations and Support
Hopper HQ does not support paid advertising. It cannot create ads, boost posts from the scheduler, or report on ad performance.
In contrast, RecurPost lets agencies boost published Facebook and Instagram posts from its dashboard. Agencies can set daily or total budgets and choose start and end dates. In addition, it uses four targeting dimensions imported from the connected Meta ad account. RecurPost reports also include a toggle between paid and organic performance.
However, boosting costs an additional $5 per social account per month. Notably, it currently supports Facebook and Instagram, with LinkedIn listed as coming soon. RecurPost cannot create or edit custom audiences because Meta restricts this capability for third-party tools.

| Area | RecurPost | Hopper HQ |
| Mobile apps | iOS and Android, with the August 2026 update bringing the one-off post flow, watermarks, and DM automation options to parity with the web app | iOS and Android, with auto-publishing where the platform allows it and a push notification where it does not |
| Mobile coverage | Scheduling, inbox, and content work on the phone | Calendar, Instagram grid view, and post creation only in our testing. Analytics, team management, permissions, approvals, Bulk Create, Strategy Planner, Hashtag Explorer, and Link in Bio were absent, and Bluesky is not in the app |
| Integrations | Zapier, an n8n node, a public API, webhooks, Canva, Google Drive, RSS, and a Chrome extension | None. Media imports from OneDrive, Dropbox, a direct URL, and Unsplash |
| Support | Human support by chat and email on every plan | Live chat on all plans, email support, help centre, video tutorials, and bookable onboarding calls or demos |

Beyond advertising, Hopper HQ’s support response times met expectations during our testing. A human responded through live chat in about 3 hours. On the other hand, email replies arrived within 24 to 48 hours. However, Hopper HQ does not offer phone support, a community forum, or a dedicated account manager.

For agencies that require connections between publishing and other business systems, Hopper HQ does not offer a public API or Zapier integration. These limitations prevent agencies from using those connections for lead-form triggers, CRM handoffs, or automated workflows with other tools.
Hopper HQ’s mobile app creates another workflow limitation when agencies need to investigate publishing failures. For example, a team member may discover a failed post while away from a computer. This may happen shortly before a client campaign. Although the app displays the calendar, it does not include post details or analytics. As a result, the team member cannot inspect the failure reason there.
Where RecurPost Fits Agency Workflows, and Where It Does Not
RecurPost fits agencies that outgrew Hopper HQ’s per-account pricing. For example, an 8-client agency with 16 connected profiles fits within RecurPost Agency’s $79 monthly plan. The plan includes up to 20 accounts and 3 users. In addition, its 2 local clients can publish Google Business Profile posts with CTA buttons and rejection monitoring. On the other hand, a client requiring approval can review posts within a separate workspace. Each client can also connect accounts through a password-free invitation. If publishing fails, RecurPost displays a reason drawn from more than 850 documented platform failure types.
For rosters of a comparable size, the RecurPost case studies record how agencies and teams run their client publishing in practice, including the customer results they report.
However, RecurPost may not be the ideal fit for agencies that require advanced social media management features. These include link-in-bio tools, hashtag discovery, and social listening. It also lacks sentiment analysis and competitor benchmarking.
RecurPost does not provide these features or support Snapchat publishing. Agencies that depend on these capabilities would require additional tools.
Team size also affects RecurPost’s pricing for agencies managing fewer accounts. The Agency plan charges $20 per month for each user beyond the 3 included seats. Therefore, a 10-person team managing 10 accounts pays $219 per month for RecurPost Agency, compared with $120 for Hopper HQ Scale. Agencies should carefully consider these specific publishing requirements. These constraints involve both third-party accounts and platform add-ons. X posts longer than 280 characters require the client’s own X Premium subscription. Additionally, RSS feeds cost an additional $10 per feed per month.
Where Hopper HQ Fits, and Where It Does Not
Hopper HQ fits users managing 1 to 5 accounts focused on Instagram. It is best suited for teams without external approvals or Google Business Profile publishing requirements. At this account range, Hopper HQ Grow costs $6 to $30 per month. This tier includes unlimited posts and a single user. Features like the grid planner, image editor, and Hashtag Explorer streamline the visual creation process. Along with saved captions and the Use1.link bio feature, Hopper HQ supports a seamless, end-to-end Instagram publishing experience.

For larger internal teams managing fewer accounts, Hopper HQ Scale’s unlimited users can also cost less than RecurPost’s additional seats.
Hopper HQ stops fitting past seven accounts on Scale, or when a client needs Google Business Profile posts or full YouTube videos. Hopper HQ becomes less suitable once the workflow requires message management, automated DMs, or branded reporting. It also falls short when agencies need separate client workspaces or integrations with other business tools.
Hopper HQ Scale becomes more expensive at 7 accounts. It is less suitable when clients require Google Business Profile posts or long-form YouTube publishing. Agencies would require separate tools for message replies, DM automation, branded reports, and client workspaces. Its lack of a public API and Zapier integration also limits connections with other business systems.
For example, a solo creator managing 3 Instagram accounts may rely on Hopper HQ’s grid planner and Use1.link every day. However, if the creator does not require RecurPost’s client management features, continuing with Hopper HQ preserves these daily tools. This avoids paying for features they may not use.
RecurPost vs Hopper HQ: Who Should Pick Which
| Situation | Pick | Why |
| Under 5 accounts, Instagram-led, no approvals | Hopper HQ | Grow costs $6 per account with unlimited posts and the grid planner |
| Past 7 accounts on Scale | RecurPost | Scale reaches $84 at seven accounts against RecurPost Agency’s flat $79 |
| A client requires sign-off before publishing | RecurPost Agency | Approvals cost $79 flat rather than double the whole roster’s rate |
| Local-business clients | RecurPost | Hopper HQ publishes no Google Business Profile posts at all |
| Long-form YouTube on the roster | RecurPost | Hopper HQ publishes Shorts only |
| You sell engagement or reply management | RecurPost | Hopper HQ has no inbox and no DM automation |
| You invoice for a branded monthly report | RecurPost Agency | Hopper HQ offers no white-label reports and no report delivery |
| Large team, small roster | Hopper HQ Scale | Unlimited users beats $20 per extra RecurPost seat below about ten accounts |
| Link in bio is a client deliverable | Hopper HQ | RecurPost has no link-in-bio product |

This table settles one pairing only. It does not settle the broader question of which social media management tool suits your operation, or whether you need one at this stage. That judgment sits with the RecurPost social media scheduler overview, which weighs account count, team structure, and publishing cadence across the whole product. Plan-level economics sit with RecurPost pricing.
Switching From Hopper HQ to RecurPost
Switching from Hopper HQ to RecurPost requires transferring saved content, connecting client accounts, and setting up publishing schedules. Keep Hopper HQ active during the transition to ensure uninterrupted scheduled publishing. In parallel, agencies can evaluate RecurPost through its 14-day trial, which does not require a credit card.
To ensure a smooth transition from Hopper HQ to RecurPost, follow these steps:
- Copy your saved captions from Hopper HQ manually. Caption libraries do not transfer between schedulers, and Hopper HQ does not provide an export option for them.
- Next, invite each client through RecurPost so they can connect their accounts without sharing login credentials.
- Import past posts from connected accounts to rebuild content libraries without preparing files.
- Once those libraries are ready, create recurring time slots in RecurPost. Hopper HQ does not offer equivalent library-based schedules, so these settings must be created rather than transferred.
Importantly, cancel Hopper HQ only after confirming that RecurPost’s publishing workflow works for your agency.
Since Hopper HQ bills per connected account and requires a card for its trial, check the next billing date before cancelling. See the migration checklist for the complete sequence.
Try RecurPost
RecurPost’s Agency plan includes 20 social accounts, 3 team members, client workspaces, approval workflows, and white-label reports for $79 per month. By comparison, Hopper HQ requires the Scale plan for approvals. However, it does not offer separate client workspaces or white-label reports. For agencies that need more capacity, RecurPost charges $4 per additional social account. Plus, it also charges $20 per additional team member each month.
Beyond client management, RecurPost supports Google Business Profile posts with CTA buttons and rejection monitoring. It also supports YouTube Shorts and long-form videos. Clients can also connect their accounts through password-free invitations. To review costs or test these workflows, see RecurPost plans and pricing or start your 14-day free trial without a credit card.
However, RecurPost may not be the ideal fit for solo creators who rely on a link-in-bio tool or hashtag discovery, as it does not provide these features. For a creator managing 1 to 3 Instagram accounts without approval requirements, Hopper HQ’s $6-per-account Grow plan may be a better fit.
RecurPost vs Hopper HQ FAQs
1. How much does Hopper HQ cost in 2026?
Hopper HQ charges per connected social account. Grow costs $6 per account per month with monthly billing or $5 per month with annual billing. It includes 1 user but excludes content approvals. In comparison, Scale costs $12 per account per month with monthly billing or $10 per month with annual billing. Scale includes unlimited users, team permissions, and content approvals. Therefore, 10 accounts cost $60 on Grow or $120 on Scale with monthly billing. Hopper HQ does not offer a free plan.
2. Does Hopper HQ have a client approval workflow?
Hopper HQ includes content approvals only on the Scale plan. This costs twice the per-account rate across the entire roster. When posts are submitted for review, only users with Full Publishing or Admin permission can approve or reject them. However, Hopper HQ does not send email notifications when content awaits approval or provide review links for clients without an account.
3. Does Hopper HQ post to Google Business Profile?
Hopper HQ does not support Google Business Profile publishing, so agencies must publish these posts separately. In contrast, RecurPost supports Google Business Profile publishing on every paid plan. It includes CTA buttons, such as Book, Call Now, and Offer, and monitors posts for rejections after Google initially accepts them.
4. Does Hopper HQ have a social inbox?
Hopper HQ does not offer a social inbox, and its help center lists this feature as unsupported. In contrast, RecurPost’s inbox supports-
– Facebook Pages
– Instagram Business accounts
– LinkedIn Company Pages
– Google Business Profile
It also provides AI reply drafts without consuming AI post credits.
5. Can you bulk schedule from a CSV in Hopper HQ?
Hopper HQ’s documentation lists CSV bulk upload, but we could not find the option during our August 2026 testing. However, its Bulk Create feature supports uploading multiple images or videos and editing the resulting posts on one page. Each post has its own caption, first comment, location, posting time, and destination account.
6. Does Hopper HQ publish full YouTube videos?
Hopper HQ publishes YouTube Shorts with titles and tags but does not support long-form videos. Therefore, agencies publishing longer videos need another tool. In contrast, RecurPost publishes both long-form YouTube videos and Shorts, with controls for privacy status, categories, and tags.
7. Which RecurPost plan matches Hopper HQ’s Scale plan?
RecurPost Agency provides a comparable option for agencies that require content approvals. At $79 per month, RecurPost includes 20 social accounts, 3 team members, and client workspaces. Additionally, it includes internal and external approvals, white-label reports, and password-free client onboarding. By comparison, Hopper HQ Scale costs $240 per month for 20 accounts and includes unlimited users, but it does not offer all the same client management features.
8. What does Hopper HQ do that RecurPost does not?
Hopper HQ offers several features and pricing options that RecurPost does not match:
– A link-in-bio tool called Use1.link
– Hashtag discovery, including related and trending hashtags plus hashtag performance analytics
– Unlimited users on the Scale plan, against RecurPost’s $20 per extra seat
– A $6 per-account entry price for a single-account roster
