Planable alternatives split by the gap that pushes a team out. Planable prices per workspace with unlimited users, so a sixth client means a sixth plan fee and a sixth copy of every add-on. Not every team leaves for that reason.

The groups below match each Planable gap to the tools that close it. Each group also states where RecurPost fits and where it does not.

The gap that’s moving youClosest fitStarting price
Workspace bills stack past a few clientsRecurPost$79/mo (Agency, 20 accounts)
Approval depth without an Enterprise quoteRecurPost or HeyOrca$79/mo or $59 per workspace/mo

Inbox and engagement at volumeVista Social or Agorapulse$79/mo
RSS import, bulk CSV, and post failure reportingRecurPost$9/mo
Social listeningSprout Social or Vista Social$199/seat/mo or a $75/mo add-on

Every tool in that table misses somewhere. Planable alternatives are social media management platforms that replace some combination of Planable’s content review, publishing, and analytics workflows. No single replacement matches Planable’s mockup-grade review experience, so the fit depends on whether compounding workspace bills, post caps, approval depth, or automation gaps are what’s pushing you out.

Planable Alternatives at a Glance

Nine Planable competitors close at least one of the gaps above. The table names the buyer each one fits.

Why Teams Leave Planable

Planable previews posts at published fidelity and prices everything else around that review surface. Planable’s gaps below drive most departures.

Planable caps publishing volume per workspace. Planable Basic allows 60 posts per month across 4 social pages, and Planable Pro allows 150 posts across 10 pages. A client posting twice a day on three platforms burns 180 posts a month. No listed Planable plan covers that calendar without Enterprise.

Planable sells analytics and the social inbox as add-ons priced per workspace. Planable’s analytics add-on costs $14 per workspace per month on monthly billing and its inbox add-on costs $9, so a Pro workspace with both runs $82 instead of $59. Ten client workspaces multiply that by ten.

Planable gates the approval depth people buy it for. Planable Basic offers 2 types of approval, None and Optional, so a post can publish unreviewed. Planable Pro adds Required as a third type at $59 per workspace per month. Planable holds multi-level approvals for Enterprise at custom pricing with no listed number.

Planable’s reporting and listening arrive as separate line items. Planable’s reports cover page and post metrics with white-label export, and the deeper reporting hands off to an SE Ranking integration in a separate tab. Planable sells social listening as a third add-on at $99 per workspace per month, or $82.50 on annual billing, covering brand, topic, and competitor tracking, sentiment analysis, and exports by CSV, MCP, and API. Ten client workspaces that need listening pay $990 a month for it.

Planable automates very little of the posting workflow. Planable offers no RSS import, no content recycling, and no DM automation. Planable’s bulk work stops at CSV upload. In our hands-on testing, publishing a single post also took noticeably longer than in other schedulers.

A three-person in-house team running one brand rarely feels any of this. Planable’s per-workspace model with unlimited users suits that buyer, and the staying-on-Planable section below makes that case honestly.

What a Planable Alternative Has to Cover

Planable prices per workspace with unlimited users, and that unit hides the real comparison. One Planable workspace bundles one client’s social pages, 4 on Basic and 10 on Pro, plus a monthly post cap. Most alternatives price per social account, per user seat, or per brand instead. Write down your client count, total social pages, posts per month, and the number of review levels each client needs before comparing any alternative to Planable.

Run five checks against that roster:

  1. Check post volume first. Planable’s 60 and 150 monthly caps are unusual, and most rivals publish without a monthly cap, so a cap-driven upgrade can disappear after the switch. RecurPost meters posting by day instead: 80 posts per social account per day on the Agency plan, with a $20 monthly add-on for 10 more per account.
  2. Find the tier where the replacement enforces approvals, and how many review levels come with it. Planable enforces approvals from Pro and holds multi-level approvals for Enterprise.
  3. Check how the replacement separates roles. Someone drafts, someone reviews internally, someone signs off for the client, and someone publishes. Check whether those roles apply per client or across the whole account.
  4. List what costs extra and in what unit. Planable charges per workspace for analytics, the inbox, and listening, and rivals hide their own add-ons, like Vista Social’s $29 X fee.
  5. Show a reviewer the replacement’s post preview before committing. Planable’s mockup-grade previews set the bar for client review, and most schedulers, RecurPost included, sit below it.

The coverage table below settles the pricing-unit, approvals, and roles checks for the tools this page names most often.

Vista Social belongs in the same shortlist on approvals. Vista Social routes multi-step approvals in a set order, and both team members and clients can approve without logging in.

RecurPost’s directory of social media scheduling alternatives runs these same checks across the whole category. The six groups below run them for the Planable case only.

Planable Alternatives by Switching Trigger

Your Workspace Bills Compound as Clients Grow

Closest fitRecurPost, or Vista Social when listening matters
RecurPost fits whenThe roster keeps adding clients and the same team handles all of them
RecurPost does not fit whenOne brand has nine people touching content, because Planable charges nothing per user
Vista Social fits whenListening or review management would replace a second tool
Price scenario10 clients holding about 35 social pages: Planable Pro $590 to $820 a month against RecurPost Agency $149 a month

RecurPost charges per social account and nothing per client. RecurPost’s Agency plan covers 20 social accounts for a flat $79 per month with 3 team members included. RecurPost charges $4 per month for each extra social account and $20 per month for each extra team member. RecurPost includes client workspaces on the Agency plan, so the tenth client costs the price of their accounts rather than another plan fee. RecurPost’s Agency plan includes 5 shareable client calendars, and extra calendars come in blocks of 10 for $10 per month. RecurPost’s yearly billing takes two months off the total.

RecurPost meters posting by the day rather than by the month. RecurPost’s Agency plan allows 80 posts per social account per day, and a $20 monthly add-on raises that by 10 posts per account. RecurPost sets no monthly post cap on a workspace, which is the cap that pushes a busy Planable Pro workspace toward an Enterprise conversation.

Vista Social plays the same consolidation role one price band up. Vista Social’s Professional plan covers 15 profiles and 2 users at $79, and Advanced covers 30 profiles at $149, with review management and listening available where RecurPost has neither. Vista Social charges an extra $29 per month for X publishing, which RecurPost includes.

RecurPost fits a roster that keeps adding clients, because the per-account unit stops the compounding. RecurPost does not fit one brand with nine people touching content, where Planable costs $140 a month less. Vista Social earns the extra spend when listening or review management would replace a second tool. RecurPost pricing lists every plan with its add-on units.

Client Approval Depth Is Locked Behind Enterprise Pricing

Closest fitRecurPost for staged approvals with deadlines that act, HeyOrca for approvals on every paid tier
RecurPost fits whenThe review chain has named stages, each person needs different access per client, and a missed deadline must not stall the calendar
RecurPost does not fit whenEach client needs a different approval flow, or inline comments on published-fidelity previews carry the client relationship
HeyOrca fits whenNo client posts to X and review rounds are the product you are actually buying
Sendible fits whenThe same password-free onboarding fits from the $99 Plus plan

Planable holds its deepest review workflow for its top tier. Planable Basic offers 2 approval types, None and Optional. Planable Pro adds Required as a third. Planable’s multi-level approvals, which stack steps in the order a team needs them, sit on Enterprise at custom pricing. Planable sets the approval flow separately for each workspace, and Planable runs a Kanban approvals tab so no post gets skipped.

A five-client agency shows what the gate costs. A freelance writer drafts, the account manager reviews inside 48 hours, and the client signs off inside 72 hours. Add a legal step after brand review and that chain becomes a multi-level approval on Planable, which means an Enterprise quote across every workspace on the roster.

RecurPost runs approvals as a staged workflow on a Kanban board. The account owner sets the stages once for the whole account, because an agency’s review process stays the same from one client to the next. Each RecurPost post then moves across the board as a card with an assignee, labels, and a media preview. RecurPost bookends the board with an Ideas column and a Scheduled column.

RecurPost’s default workflow chains four steps:

  1. A writer drafts the post in the Writing stage.
  2. The manager reviews the post in the Manager Review stage within 48 hours, or RecurPost escalates it.
  3. The client approves the post in the Client Review stage within 72 hours, or RecurPost reschedules the post by one day.
  4. A client who requests changes sends the post back to Writing with their comments.

RecurPost lets the owner set each stage’s timeout at 4, 8, 24, 48, or 72 hours, or at 7 days. RecurPost warns the assigned role at 50 percent and 80 percent of that timeout, and again once the stage runs overdue. The owner also picks what RecurPost does when the timeout expires:

  1. RecurPost holds the post in its stage until someone acts.
  2. RecurPost approves the post automatically and moves it on.
  3. RecurPost escalates the post to the next approver.
  4. RecurPost reschedules the post, so a late client review never publishes on the wrong day.

Board-based approvals are common in this category. Planable runs a Kanban approvals tab, Vista Social offers a Kanban Board view inside Vista Work projects, and Sked Social ships an Approvals Board. RecurPost’s difference sits in what happens when a stage runs out of time.

RecurPost controls who acts at each stage through roles. RecurPost starts every account with role templates:

RecurPost roleWhat the role can do
ContributorWrite their own drafts and send them for review, with no access to other people’s posts or approvals
WriterWrite and edit posts, manage the content library, and reply in the inbox
EditorApprove posts at internal review stages, edit anyone’s work, and manage the inbox
PublisherPublish and schedule, handle client approvals, export reports, and manage the team

RecurPost also lets the owner build a custom role by ticking individual permissions. RecurPost’s permissions cover posts, approvals and publishing, social profiles, the content library, the inbox, reports, DM automations, paid ads, client review, and workspace and team settings. Turning off a section such as Paid ads hides that page from the member’s sidebar entirely. A member who tries a blocked action sees the exact permission to ask the workspace owner for.

RecurPost assigns roles per workspace, so one person can hold different roles for different clients. A freelancer can be a Writer for one client, an Editor for a second, and have no access to a third. RecurPost also names an Account Manager in each workspace. RecurPost’s Account Manager is a guaranteed second approver and can approve on the client’s behalf, and RecurPost logs every approval made that way.

RecurPost sends each role only the alerts for the stages that role works in. Each alert arrives by email and in the mobile app:

  • RecurPost alerts a member when a post is assigned to them.
  • RecurPost alerts approvers when posts are waiting on their review.
  • RecurPost alerts the writer when a post is approved or sent back with changes.
  • RecurPost alerts the assigned role as a stage nears or misses its timeout.
  • RecurPost alerts the team when a client approves, rejects, or receives an urgent approval request.
  • RecurPost alerts the team when a post publishes, fails, or needs an account reconnected.

The five-client agency above maps onto that setup directly. The freelance writer holds the Writer role only in the workspaces they cover. The account manager clears Manager Review from the board inside 48 hours. Each client opens RecurPost’s shareable calendar without logging in, then approves the post or requests changes with one button. RecurPost onboards those clients without passwords, because each client connects their own accounts through an email or link invite.

RecurPost includes team roles, permissions, and the Kanban board on every plan, starting with the $9 Starter plan. RecurPost includes client workspaces and the internal and external approval workflow on the Agency plan at $79 per month.

HeyOrca sits close to Planable on review rounds. HeyOrca prices per client workspace with unlimited users, with a free tier, Basic at $59, and Pro at $149. HeyOrca includes approvals on every paid tier rather than holding enforcement for a higher plan. One hard limit disqualifies HeyOrca for some rosters: HeyOrca has had no direct X publishing since April 2026. Sendible matches RecurPost’s password-free onboarding through Client Connect from its $99 Plus plan.

Loomly competes with Planable on mockup-style previews and structured review, at $65 per month on monthly billing for 12 accounts and 3 users. Loomly publishes to no X at all per our July 2026 verification, which rules it out for the same rosters HeyOrca fails.

RecurPost fits when the review chain needs named stages with deadlines that act, when each person needs different access per client, and when X publishing is required. HeyOrca fits when no client on the roster posts to X and review rounds are the product you are actually buying. Planable keeps the edge when each client needs a different approval flow, because RecurPost’s stages are account-wide.

Analytics Arrive as a Per-Workspace Add-On

Closest fitMetricool
Metricool fits whenAnalytics need to be included rather than billed at $14 per workspace
RecurPost fits whenWhite-label client reporting has to be included rather than metered per client
RecurPost does not fit whenCompetitor benchmarking is part of what you sell
NoteMetricool holds client approvals until the $67 Advanced tier

Metricool covers this trigger at the lowest price. Metricool’s free plan covers 1 brand with up to 20 posts per month and real analytics included, without X or LinkedIn publishing at the free level. Metricool’s Starter tier covers 5 brands at $25 per month or 10 brands at $45, with ads management inside the same dashboard and Google Business Profile on every tier. Planable charges $14 per workspace per month to see numbers Metricool shows a free user, so ten workspaces pay $140 a month for that add-on.

RecurPost includes the reporting layer rather than metering it per client. RecurPost’s Custom Reports builder assembles 200+ metrics across 10 platforms into white-label PDFs, and it ships 58 templates and 11 chart types. RecurPost’s reports include audience demographics, Meta ads metrics, and Google Business Profile reviews. RecurPost delivers each report as a download or by email to up to 25 recipients. RecurPost’s Chat with Reports AI answers questions about the numbers inside the report.

RecurPost still offers no competitor benchmarking, so a benchmarking-first buyer fits Metricool better. A buyer who needs analytics and enforced approvals in the same tool pays $67 for Metricool Advanced or $79 for RecurPost Agency.

You Need an Inbox and Engagement at Volume

Closest fitVista Social, or Agorapulse for full-time engagement teams
Vista Social fits whenOne team publishes and answers messages inside a single $79 plan
Agorapulse fits whenEngagement is a full-time job and justifies per-seat pricing
RecurPost fits whenLight to moderate inbox duty spreads across a wide client roster at no add-on fee
RecurPost does not fit whenA community-management team lives in the inbox all day

Planable’s social inbox works, and it costs $9 per workspace per month on top of the plan. Ten client workspaces with the inbox add-on pay $90 a month for engagement alone. Tools built around engagement include it.

Agorapulse treats the inbox as the core product, with assignment, labels, and reply workflows that community teams run all day. Agorapulse costs $99 per user per month on monthly billing ($79 annual) with 10 profiles per user, and one-step approvals arrive on the Professional plan at $149 monthly. Vista Social includes an inbox and review management inside its $79 Professional plan for 15 profiles and 2 users, which fits when the same team also publishes.

RecurPost includes a social inbox with AI-assisted replies at no add-on fee. RecurPost labels conversations and assigns them to team members. RecurPost also automates Instagram DM replies from keywords. RecurPost controls inbox access through the Inbox permission section, so a member without that permission never sees the page.

RecurPost covers light inbox duty across a wide roster at no extra cost. Agorapulse and Vista Social both go deeper on team engagement workflows, and a full-time community team should shortlist them instead.

You Outgrew Planable’s Publishing Automation

Closest fitRecurPost at agency volume, SocialBee for pure recycling
RecurPost fits whenAgency volume needs RSS import, bulk CSV, and post failure reporting
RecurPost does not fit whenA category recycling library is the entire reason to switch
SocialBee fits whenCategory-based recycling is the centerpiece
Publer fits whenBudget bulk work without an inbox or DM automation fits

RecurPost automates the parts of publishing Planable leaves manual. RecurPost pulls RSS feeds and Google Alerts straight into content libraries. RecurPost takes CSV bulk uploads of hundreds of posts in one pass, and recurring content libraries sit on top as a bonus for teams that reshare seasonal material. RecurPost also surfaces post failures against 850+ documented platform error types, so a rejected post arrives with a reason instead of disappearing. Planable checks for platform errors before publishing, which is genuinely useful, and does nothing comparable once the post leaves.

An agency running RSS pulls and CSV uploads by hand across a ten-client roster feels this gap first. That agency spends the month on data entry rather than on the calendar.

SocialBee owns one narrow version of this trigger. SocialBee built its whole product around category-based content recycling, from $29 per month with approvals and CSV import at the $49 tier. SocialBee fits when a category recycling library is the whole reason to switch. Publer covers budget bulk work at $5 per account plus $4 per extra account on its Professional tier, without an inbox or DM automation.

RecurPost fits this group at agency volume, with the error reporting as the difference that shows up in month one. SocialBee keeps a genuine win where category recycling is the centerpiece.

You Need Social Listening

Closest fitSprout Social, or Vista Social if per-seat pricing is the objection
Sprout Social fits whenListening and multi-step, multi-role approval workflows must sit in one contract
Vista Social fits whenListening as a $75 monthly add-on is enough
Planable fits whenOne or two workspaces need listening and $99 per workspace stays affordable
RecurPost does not fitRecurPost has no social listening and no sentiment analysis at any price

Planable sells social listening as an add-on at $99 per workspace per month, or $82.50 on annual billing. Planable’s listening add-on tracks 1 brand and 3 topics, reports overall metrics and detailed mentions, runs sentiment analysis, and exports by CSV, MCP, and API. Planable prices listening per workspace like its other add-ons, so ten client workspaces pay $990 a month for listening alone. That is the same compounding that started the search.

Sprout Social’s Standard plan runs $199 per seat per month on annual billing ($249 monthly), with listening sold as an add-on from Standard upward. Sprout Social also runs multi-step, multi-role approval workflows, so listening and review depth arrive in one contract. Vista Social sells listening as a $75 per month add-on, which fits when per-seat pricing is the objection.

RecurPost does not compete in this group. RecurPost has no social listening and no sentiment analysis. A team selling listening reports to clients should shortlist Sprout Social and Vista Social, and treat everything else on this page as a scheduler.

Where RecurPost Fits a Planable Team, and Where It Does Not

RecurPost fits the roster that broke Planable’s per-workspace pricing. The ten-client agency from the math above lands on RecurPost for four reasons. Every client connects their own accounts through a password-free email or link invite. Each client gets a separate workspace, and the internal and external approval workflow runs on the Agency plan with roles set per workspace. White-label reports and the social inbox come included instead of costing $23 per workspace in add-ons. Failed posts surface with a documented reason across 850+ error types.

Platform coverage runs wider than Planable’s too. Both tools publish to these platforms:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • X
  • LinkedIn
  • TikTok
  • YouTube
  • Pinterest
  • Google Business Profile
  • Threads

RecurPost adds Bluesky publishing, LinkedIn PDF documents, and Google Business Profile call-to-action buttons with rejection monitoring.

RecurPost’s gaps deserve the same bluntness as Planable’s, and the first one matters most to this audience:

  • RecurPost’s inline commenting sits below Planable’s. Planable comments inline on a post that looks like the published result, and Planable’s mockup accounts pitch a full content plan before any page connects.
  • RecurPost previews posts in mobile view only. Planable’s previews look closer to the published result on desktop, and a design-sensitive client notices the difference during review.
  • RecurPost configures workflow stages account-wide, so an agency that needs a different approval flow for each client fits Planable’s per-workspace flows better.
  • RecurPost includes 3 team members on the Agency plan and charges $20 per month for each extra member. Planable charges nothing per user.
  • RecurPost has no social listening and no sentiment analysis. Planable sells listening as a $99 per workspace add-on.
  • RecurPost offers no competitor benchmarking.
  • RecurPost’s interface is utilitarian. It moves large rosters efficiently and wins no design awards doing it.
  • RecurPost does not publish to Snapchat and has no link-in-bio product.
  • RecurPost publishes X posts beyond 280 characters only when the client holds their own X Premium subscription, although the account-funded X Wallet pays X’s $0.20 per-link posting fee.
  • Planable reviews blog posts, newsletters, and ad copy through the same approval flow, which no scheduler on this page attempts.

RecurPost does not fit teams whose product is the review process itself, community-management teams living in an inbox, or anyone who needs listening. Those buyers have better answers in the groups above.

Teams that switched anyway did it for the pricing unit and the automation. RecurPost case studies show which rosters made that trade and why. The RecurPost vs Planable comparison walks both tools feature by feature when Planable is your only other candidate.

The Pricing Math, Both Ways

Want the numbers for your own roster? The social media tool pricing calculator prices 36 schedulers, including Planable, for your profiles, seats, clients and must-have features, with the arithmetic shown.

Planable can be the cheap option or the expensive one depending entirely on how many workspaces you run. The table uses monthly billing throughout. Annual billing lowers most of these by 15 to 20 percent, and Planable’s annual rate drops Basic to $33 and Pro to $49.

ToolBase plan (monthly billing)What’s includedWhat changes the real cost
Planable Pro$59 per workspace10 social pages, 150 posts/mo, unlimited usersAnalytics +$14, inbox +$9, listening +$99 per workspace; each client adds a workspace

Vista Social Professional$7915 profiles, 2 users, inbox includedX publishing +$29/mo; listening +$75/mo
Metricool Starter$255 brands, analytics includedX costs extra; approvals wait until Advanced at $67
Buffer Essentials$6 per channelUnlimited posts per channelApprovals only on Team at $12/channel

Sources: Planable, RecurPost, HeyOrca, Vista Social, Metricool, and Buffer. Verified July 16 and 17, 2026. Planable’s listening add-on price fetched September 15, 2026.

Run the math in both directions.

A ten-client agency pays Planable $590 per month on Pro before add-ons, and $820 with analytics and the inbox on every workspace. The same ten clients holding roughly 35 social pages cost $149 on RecurPost Agency, which is $79, plus 15 extra accounts at $4, plus $10 for one block of 10 shareable client calendars because Agency includes 5. RecurPost includes approvals, roles, reports, and the inbox in that $149. That $440 to $670 gap is what moves most ten-client agencies off Planable.

An in-house team flips the result. One brand with 6 social pages and 9 people touching content pays Planable $59 total on Pro, because Planable never charges for users. RecurPost Agency at $79 includes 3 members, and 6 more at $20 each brings the bill to $199. Planable wins that scenario by $140 a month, and no per-seat tool on this page comes close to it.

A five-client approval-first agency is where the new workflow changes the answer. Planable Pro costs $295 across five workspaces, and a legal step after brand review still needs an Enterprise quote there. HeyOrca Basic costs the same $295 for five workspaces with approvals on every paid tier and unlimited users. RecurPost Agency covers the same five clients at $79 flat for 20 or fewer social accounts, with staged approvals, per-client roles, and the Kanban board included. RecurPost still concedes inline commenting on published-fidelity previews to both.

A solo operator testing two or three accounts should not pay for any of this. Buffer covers 3 channels free, and RecurPost Starter covers 2 accounts at $9. Planable’s free 50-post trial serves this buyer well, right up until the 50 posts run out with no time limit and no refill.

When Staying on Planable Is the Right Call

Planable previews posts at published fidelity and comments inline on the post itself, and no tool on this page matches that review surface. Planable’s approvals run multi-level on Enterprise, and Planable’s mockup workspaces let an agency pitch a full content plan before any account connects. Planable also reviews blog posts, newsletters, and ad copy through the same approval flow.

An in-house team with one or two brands and many stakeholders should probably stay on Planable. Planable’s per-workspace price with unlimited users undercuts every per-seat tool at that shape. Planable’s post caps rarely bind a single brand, and the review surface is what everyone touches daily. Leaving Planable makes sense when workspaces multiply, when post caps bind, or when the analytics, inbox, and listening add-ons force a second line item onto every client.

Moving Off Planable

Planable exports analytics as PDF and CSV, and Planable’s scheduled and draft posts need rebuilding in the replacement. Copy captions and download media from Planable’s media library before the subscription lapses.

A move from Planable to RecurPost runs in this order:

  1. Invite each client to connect their own accounts to RecurPost through a password-free email or link invite.
  2. Import past posts from each connected social account, which recreates a working content history without CSV formatting.
  3. Rebuild the Planable approval flow as RecurPost workflow stages, then name the Account Manager in each client workspace.
  4. Invite the team last, and give each member a role only in the workspaces they cover.

A brand-new social profile with no posting history has nothing to import and starts from an empty calendar.

Planable Alternatives FAQs

How Much Does Planable Cost for a Ten-Client Agency?

Ten client workspaces on Planable Pro cost $590 per month on monthly billing, or $390 on Basic with its 60-post and 4-page caps. Adding analytics at $14 and the inbox at $9 to every workspace raises Pro to $820. Planable offers volume discounts from 5 workspaces upward, and annual billing takes two months off.

Does Planable Include Analytics?

Planable sells analytics as an add-on at $14 per workspace per month on monthly billing ($12 annual), covering Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Google Business Profile. RecurPost, Metricool, and Vista Social include analytics in their base plans, and Metricool includes them even on its free tier.

Do Planable’s Plans Limit Posts?

Planable caps posts per workspace per month: 60 on Basic, 150 on Pro, and unlimited on Enterprise. Planable’s social pages cap at 4, 10, and 50 respectively. RecurPost meters daily posts per social account instead, at 80 per account on the Agency plan, and sets no monthly cap on a workspace.

Which Planable Alternatives Run Multi-Level Approvals Without an Enterprise Quote?

RecurPost runs its internal and external approval workflow on the Agency plan at $79 per month, with custom work, internal review, and client review stages that move posts across a Kanban board. HeyOrca includes approvals on every paid tier. Vista Social routes multi-step approvals in a set order. Planable enforces approvals from Pro at $59 per workspace and holds multi-level approvals for Enterprise at custom pricing.

Does RecurPost Have Team Roles and Permissions Like Planable?

RecurPost includes team roles and permissions on every plan, starting at $9 per month. RecurPost ships role templates, Contributor, Writer, Editor, and Publisher, plus custom roles built by ticking individual permissions. RecurPost assigns roles per workspace, so one person can be a Writer for one client and an Editor for another. Planable ships five roles from Contributor to Guest.

Which Apps Like Planable Fit a Social Media Team Collaborating on Client Content?

RecurPost splits client content work by role and stage, so a writer drafts, an editor clears internal review, and a publisher schedules. RecurPost assigns those roles per workspace, which lets a freelancer be a Writer for one client and an Editor for another. Planable and HeyOrca both price per workspace with unlimited users, which suits a team where many people touch content and nobody wants a seat charge. Planable fits when inline comments on published-fidelity previews carry the review, and RecurPost fits when the review chain needs named stages with deadlines that act.

What Happens in RecurPost When a Client Does Not Approve a Post in Time?

RecurPost applies the timeout rule the account owner chose for that stage. RecurPost can hold the post, approve it automatically, escalate it, or reschedule it. RecurPost’s default Client Review stage waits 72 hours and then reschedules the post by one day. RecurPost warns the assigned role at 50 percent and 80 percent of the timeout, and again once the stage runs overdue.

Do Clients Need a Login to Approve Posts in RecurPost?

You can send clients a shareable calendar they open without logging in, where each client approves a post or requests changes with one button. Clients also connect their own social accounts through an email or link invite, so no passwords change hands. RecurPost logs any approval an Account Manager makes on a client’s behalf.

Which Planable Alternatives Run Client Approvals on a Kanban Board?

Planable runs a Kanban approvals tab of its own. Vista Social offers a Kanban Board view inside Vista Work projects, and Sked Social ships an Approvals Board. RecurPost includes a Kanban board on every plan, where each post moves as a card with an assignee, labels, and a media preview. RecurPost runs client review as a stage on that board, with the internal and external approval workflow on the Agency plan at $79 per month. Board views are common in this category, so the difference sits in what a stage does when it runs out of time.

Is There a Free Planable Alternative?

Buffer’s free plan covers 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts each. Metricool’s free plan covers 1 brand with 20 posts per month, without X or LinkedIn publishing. HeyOrca offers a free single-workspace tier. Planable’s own free option is a 50-post trial with no time limit rather than an ongoing plan.

What Does the Lowest-Cost Planable Alternative Cost for Agencies?

RecurPost Agency costs $79 per month flat for 20 social accounts with 3 team members and client workspaces included, which costs less than two Planable Pro workspaces at $59 each. Publer runs $5 to $10 per account for budget rosters without an inbox or DM automation. HeyOrca’s free tier covers a single workspace for agencies testing an approval workflow.
