Agorapulse alternatives split by the gap that pushes a team out. Agorapulse charges by the user seat, not by the social profile. Agorapulse Standard costs $99 per user per month on monthly billing, so a three-person team pays $297 before connecting a profile past the included ten. The seat multiplier, not a feature gap, is what changes the invoice: a third teammate adds $99 per month before a single new profile connects. See the alternatives at a glance.

Six triggers push teams toward Agorapulse alternatives, and each trigger points to a different replacement.

Every option in that table misses somewhere. The sections below show where.

Agorapulse alternatives are social media management platforms that replace some combination of Agorapulse’s publishing, inbox, approval, and listening workflows. None of the nine replacements on this page matches Agorapulse’s inbox depth across comments, mentions, DMs, and story mentions, so the right social media management tool depends on whether per-seat pricing, client onboarding, or approvals is what is pushing you out.

Why Teams Leave Agorapulse

Agorapulse runs a deep social inbox and prices everything around it. The Agorapulse gaps below drive most departures.

Agorapulse multiplies its price by every seat. Agorapulse Standard costs $99 per user per month on monthly billing and $79 on annual billing. Agorapulse Professional costs $149 monthly and $119 annual. Agorapulse Advanced costs $199 monthly and $149 annual. A plan that looks affordable for one person triples for a three-person team, and every new hire raises the bill again.

Agorapulse caps each plan at 10 included social profiles and charges $10 per month for every profile past that. An agency roster of 20 accounts adds $100 per month on top of the seat charges.

Agorapulse’s client connection path decides whether an agency ever asks a client for a password. Agorapulse lists Profile Connector in the security section of its pricing page, described as a way to securely invite clients or execs to connect their social profiles. Agorapulse presents that feature by plan tier, so an agency that promised its clients a password-free connection should confirm Profile Connector is included on the tier it buys. RecurPost sends every client an email or link invite instead, and the client connects their own accounts.

Agorapulse holds multi-step approval chains for its Custom plan. Agorapulse’s simple approval workflows cover one-step approvals to a teammate or a client, and Agorapulse Advanced adds bulk approval. Agorapulse’s Custom tier carries custom approval chains with multiple reviewers, alongside SSO and custom roles, at tailored pricing. A workflow that runs a copywriter, then an account manager, then a client sign-off needs that Custom quote.

Agorapulse sells its deeper social listening as a separate demo-gated add-on. Agorapulse holds competitor benchmarking until its Advanced plan at $199 per user on monthly billing. Agorapulse also runs no DM automation on any platform, so an Instagram comment-to-DM workflow needs another tool regardless of plan.

A four-person agency managing 12 client accounts feels all of this at once. Four Agorapulse Standard seats cost $396 per month on monthly billing, and two extra profiles add $20. That agency pays $416 per month and still needs a Custom quote for the client sign-off chain it promised.

A single social media manager who lives in the inbox has not outgrown Agorapulse. One Agorapulse seat on annual billing costs $79 per month for 10 profiles, and that price already carries the assignment, saved-reply, and moderation tooling a solo would be giving up. The staying-on-Agorapulse section below covers that case.

What an Agorapulse Alternative Has to Cover

Agorapulse prices in user seats, and that unit hides the real comparison. One Agorapulse plan bundles 10 social profiles. Each profile past ten costs $10 per month. Each extra teammate pays the full plan price again. A five-client agency with 18 profiles and three teammates converts that into two numbers: three seats at $99 is $297, and eight extra profiles at $10 is $80, for $377 per month. Almost every replacement prices per social account, per channel, per brand, or per workspace, so count your accounts and your people separately before comparing anything.

Run five checks against that roster:

  1. Price the loaded cost with every teammate counted. A tool that charges per social account absorbs a new hire cheaply, and a tool that charges per seat does not.
  2. Check how each replacement connects a client’s accounts. A password-free invite path keeps an agency’s no-password promise intact, and a credential-based path moves the problem rather than ending it.
  3. Find the plan tier that includes the number of review steps your team actually runs, at a published price. Confirm the tool separates who drafts, who reviews internally, who signs off with the client, and who publishes.
  4. Decide which Agorapulse strengths you are willing to lose. Agorapulse’s inbox depth, its per-profile role scoping, and its listening add-on have no equivalent in most cheaper schedulers.
  5. Confirm platform coverage against your roster, including X, Google Business Profile, and Bluesky. Agorapulse covers all three, and some replacements publish to no X at all.

The coverage table below settles the first three checks for the tools this page names most often.

Agorapulse Alternatives by Switching Trigger

Per-Seat Pricing Outgrew Your Team

Closest fitRecurPost
RecurPost fits whenTwo or more people mostly schedule, review, and report
RecurPost does not fit whenOne person lives in the Agorapulse inbox, because the seat multiplier never fires for a solo
Price scenario4 seats and 12 accounts: Agorapulse $416/mo against RecurPost $99/mo

RecurPost prices per social account and never per seat. RecurPost’s Agency plan covers 20 social accounts for a flat $79 per month with 3 team members included. RecurPost charges $4 per month for an extra social account and $20 per month for an extra team member. RecurPost’s yearly billing gives two months free.

The four-person agency paying Agorapulse $416 pays RecurPost $99, which is Agency at $79 plus one member past the included three. RecurPost charges $20 per month for the next hire, where Agorapulse Standard charges $99 for the same person. That single number decides this group.

Metricool attacks the same problem from the brand side. Metricool’s Starter plan covers 5 client brands at $25 per month and 10 brands at $45, and one brand holds one client’s profile set. Publer prices at roughly $5 to $10 per account per month, which suits small rosters that want volume tools cheap.

RecurPost fits a team of two or more people whose work is scheduling, review, and reporting. RecurPost does not fit a solo who depends on the Agorapulse inbox, because one Agorapulse seat on annual billing already covers 10 profiles at $79 per month.

Clients Will Not Hand Over Passwords

Closest fitRecurPost or Sendible
RecurPost fits whenClients connect their own accounts and the roster includes X and Google Business Profile
Sendible fits whenThe same onboarding belongs inside a more engagement-focused tool, under 20 accounts
HeyOrca fits whenNo client posts to X and each client works inside its own workspace

RecurPost onboards clients without credentials. The client receives an email or link invite, connects their own accounts into the agency’s workspace, and never shares a password. RecurPost’s invite ends the shared-password arrangement rather than moving it, because no credential passes between the client and the agency at any point.

Sendible matches that with Client Connect, which handles password-free onboarding the same way. Sendible starts at $29 per month, and Sendible’s per-plan value thins out toward 20 or more accounts. HeyOrca solves the same trust problem structurally: each client gets a workspace, clients join it directly, and HeyOrca prices per workspace from a free tier to $126. HeyOrca publishes to no X, which rules it out for any roster with an active X client.

Agorapulse lists Profile Connector for inviting clients or execs to connect their social profiles, so an Agorapulse team should check that feature against its own tier before treating this trigger as a reason to leave.

RecurPost fits when password-free onboarding has to cover the full roster including X and Google Business Profile. RecurPost does not fit a buyer who wants that onboarding inside a heavier engagement suite, and Sendible answers that case from its $99 Plus plan.

You Need Approval Workflows Without Custom Pricing

Closest fitRecurPost for staged approvals with deadlines that act, Vista Social for approvals plus listening
RecurPost fits whenReview runs more than one step, each person needs different access, and the price has to be published
Vista Social fits whenMulti-step approvals plus listening and branded reporting justify the budget
HeyOrca fits whenClient review is the whole product and no client posts to X
Agorapulse Custom fits whenSSO has to sit alongside the approval chain

Agorapulse puts the depth of its approval chain on the tier line. Agorapulse’s simple approval workflows assign or send content to teammates or clients for one-step approvals. Agorapulse’s Custom tier carries custom approval chains with multiple reviewers, together with SSO and custom roles, at tailored pricing. A three-step chain therefore starts with a demo request rather than a published price.

RecurPost runs approvals as a staged workflow on a Kanban board. The account owner sets the stages up once for the whole account, because an agency does not change how it works from one client to the next. RecurPost gives each stage one of three types: work, internal review, or client review. Each RecurPost post then moves across the board as a card with an assignee, labels, and a media preview, between an Ideas column and a Scheduled column.

RecurPost’s default workflow chains four steps:

  1. A writer drafts the post in the Writing stage.
  2. An account manager reviews the post in the Manager Review stage within 48 hours, or RecurPost escalates it.
  3. The client approves the post in the Client Review stage within 72 hours, or RecurPost reschedules it by one day.
  4. A client who requests changes sends the post back to Writing with their comments.

RecurPost lets the owner rename, add, and remove those stages. RecurPost sets each stage’s timeout at 4, 8, 24, 48, or 72 hours, or at 7 days. RecurPost warns the assigned role at 50 percent and 80 percent of that timeout, and again once the stage is overdue. RecurPost then applies the rule the owner picked for that stage:

  1. RecurPost holds the post in its stage until someone acts.
  2. RecurPost approves the post automatically and moves it on.
  3. RecurPost escalates the post to the next approver.
  4. RecurPost reschedules the post, so a late client review never publishes on the wrong day.

RecurPost’s reschedule rule carries the most weight at the client review stage. A client who goes quiet on a Friday launch post triggers that rule, and RecurPost moves the post to the next day instead of publishing it unapproved.

RecurPost controls who acts at each stage through roles. RecurPost includes roles and permissions on every plan, starting with the $9 Starter, and ships role templates:

RecurPost roleWhat the role can do
ContributorWrite their own drafts and send them for review, with no access to other people’s posts or approvals
WriterWrite and edit posts, manage the content library, and reply in the inbox
EditorApprove posts at internal review stages, edit anyone’s work, and manage the inbox
PublisherPublish and schedule, handle client approvals, export reports, and manage the team

RecurPost also lets the owner build a custom role by ticking individual permissions. RecurPost’s permissions reach posts, approvals and publishing, social profiles, the content library, the inbox, reports, DM automations, paid ads, client review, and workspace and team settings. Turning a section off hides that page from the member’s sidebar. A member who tries a blocked action sees the exact permission to ask the workspace owner for.

RecurPost assigns roles per workspace, so one person can hold a different role for each client. A freelance copywriter can be a Writer in one workspace, an Editor in a second, and hold no access to a third. RecurPost also names an Account Manager for each workspace. RecurPost’s Account Manager is a guaranteed second approver and can approve on the client’s behalf, and RecurPost logs every approve-on-behalf.

RecurPost sends each role only the alerts for stages that role works in, by email and in the mobile app:

  • RecurPost alerts a member when a post is assigned to them.
  • RecurPost alerts approvers when posts are waiting for their review.
  • RecurPost alerts the writer when a post is approved or sent back with changes.
  • RecurPost alerts the assigned role as a stage nears or misses its timeout.
  • RecurPost alerts the team when a client approves, rejects, or sends an urgent approval request.

A three-client agency with a freelance copywriter maps onto RecurPost’s default workflow directly. The copywriter drafts in the Writing stage as a Writer in those three workspaces only. The account manager clears Manager Review inside 48 hours from the board, or RecurPost escalates the post. Each client opens RecurPost’s shareable calendar without logging in, then approves the post or requests changes with one button inside 72 hours, or RecurPost moves it a day later.

RecurPost sells the internal and external approval workflow with client workspaces and white-label reports on its Agency plan at $79 per month. RecurPost includes the roles, the custom permissions, and the Kanban board on every plan from the $9 Starter.

Vista Social comes closest when listening matters too. Vista Social moves multi-step approvals through a set order, and Vista Social’s contributors always need an approval on their posts. Vista Social’s team members and clients approve without logging in, and Vista Social offers a Kanban Board view inside its Vista Work projects. Vista Social’s Professional plan costs $79 for 15 profiles and 2 users, adds X for $29, and adds listening for $75. HeyOrca stays the answer when client review is the entire product, with the standing caveat that HeyOrca publishes to no X.

RecurPost puts staged approvals with deadlines that act, and a role for each person in the chain, on its Agency plan at $79 per month. Agorapulse keeps its multi-reviewer chain behind a Custom quote.

You Only Need Publishing, Not the Engagement Suite

Closest fitBuffer
Buffer fits whenUnder roughly 10 channels, with no client review and no tolerance for complexity
Publer fits whenBulk tools at a low per-account price fit better
Buffer does not fit whenA silent post failure would reach the client first

Buffer’s interface carries fewer surfaces than the agency suites on this page, which is the whole reason a publishing-only team picks it. Buffer’s free plan covers 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel, and Buffer Essentials costs $6 per channel per month on monthly billing and $5 on annual, with unlimited scheduling. Buffer publishes to X, Google Business Profile, Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon.

Buffer’s simplicity has hard edges. Buffer requires account credentials at connection, so the password problem from the previous group follows you. Buffer surfaces no error when a post fails: the post just does not go out, and you find it manually. Buffer puts approvals only on its Team plan at $12 per channel per month. Agorapulse, to its credit, validates posts and shows both errors and suggestions before publishing, so a Buffer switcher trades away real reliability tooling.

RecurPost handles 850+ documented platform error types, so a failed post surfaces with a reason instead of disappearing. RecurPost Starter covers 2 social accounts for $9 per month with the full scheduler, which suits a solo who expects client work next year. Publer plays the same budget role at roughly $5 to $10 per account per month with bulk tools included, and Publer separates Admin, Editor, and Client roles with approval set per member.

Buffer fits a solo running six channels with no client review in the way. Buffer stops fitting once a client would notice a silent failure, or once the channel count passes roughly 10 and the per-channel math pushes the buyer back to the per-seat group above.

You Want Deeper Analytics or Ads Management on a Budget

Closest fitMetricool
Metricool fits whenCompetitor benchmarking and ads management matter more than inbox depth
Metricool does not fit whenClients need X in the base price. Metricool sells X publishing as an add-on
RecurPost fits whenWhite-label client reporting drives the need, without benchmarking or ad campaigns built from scratch

Metricool covers reporting and ads management inside one dashboard, and Metricool’s paid tiers start at $25 per month. Metricool’s free plan covers 1 brand with up to 20 posts per month, without X or LinkedIn. Metricool Starter covers 5 brands at $25 per month and 10 brands at $45 with unlimited publishing. Metricool Advanced covers 50 brands at $67, and Metricool puts ads management inside the same dashboard on every paid tier. Metricool also separates Manager, Editor, Content Creator, Analyst, and Client roles plus custom roles, and Metricool’s Client role approves or rejects posts.

Agorapulse holds competitor benchmarking until Advanced at $199 per user on monthly billing, so an analytics-motivated buyer can cut that line item by more than half and gain ads reporting in the trade.

RecurPost competes on the reporting side of this trigger. RecurPost’s Custom Reports builder assembles 200+ metrics across 10 platforms with drag and drop, from 58 templates and 11 chart types. RecurPost’s reports carry audience demographics, Meta ads reporting metrics, and Google Business reviews. RecurPost delivers each report as a white-label PDF, downloaded or emailed to up to 25 recipients, and RecurPost’s Chat with Reports AI answers questions about the numbers in it.

An agency that sends 12 client reports every month and boosts a Facebook or Instagram post now and then fits RecurPost here. RecurPost does not fit an agency that builds ad campaigns from scratch or runs Google, LinkedIn, or TikTok ads, and RecurPost does not fit when competitor benchmarking drives the decision. RecurPost boosts published Facebook and Instagram posts only, and RecurPost offers no competitor benchmarking. Metricool answers that half.

Listening Needs to Go Deeper, Not Disappear

Closest fitSprout Social or Hootsuite, Vista Social for mid-size teams
Sprout Social or Hootsuite fits whenEnterprise listening depth is worth the seat price
Vista Social fits whenA published $154/mo loaded price undercuts both
RecurPost does not fitRecurPost has no social listening and no sentiment analysis at any price

Sprout Social and Hootsuite sit above Agorapulse on this axis. Sprout Social’s Standard plan runs $199 per seat per month, with listening sold as an add-on from Standard upward. Sprout Social also runs multi-step, multi-role approval workflows. Hootsuite runs $99 to $399 per user per month on annual billing with listening in its higher tiers. Vista Social offers a listening add-on at $75 per month on top of its $79 Professional plan, which prices a listening and scheduling stack at $154 before the $29 X add-on.

RecurPost does not compete in this group. A team that sells monthly listening reports to two retail clients should shortlist Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Vista Social. That team should also price Agorapulse’s own listening add-on first, because Agorapulse’s per-seat base sits below Sprout Social’s. RecurPost’s directory of RecurPost alternatives keeps the enterprise and listening buyers in one group, so shortlist from there rather than from this page.

Where RecurPost Falls Short for an Agorapulse Team

RecurPost’s gaps deserve the same bluntness as Agorapulse’s, and against this incumbent they matter more than usual. Each one names the Agorapulse strength it trades away.

  • RecurPost has no social listening and no sentiment analysis. Agorapulse sells deeper listening as an add-on and tracks brand conversations beyond your own pages.
  • RecurPost includes 3 team members on Agency and charges $20 per month for each member past that. Agorapulse charges per seat and gives every seat its full feature set.
  • RecurPost has no branded client portal on a custom domain. Agorapulse sells white-label portals and reports.
  • RecurPost scopes roles per workspace and per the accounts assigned to it. Agorapulse assigns profile-level Admin, Editor, Moderator, and Guest roles directly, so a compliance rule that limits one person to a single social profile has no RecurPost equivalent.
  • RecurPost’s inbox with AI replies covers day-to-day responses. RecurPost does not match Agorapulse’s inbox depth across comments, mentions, DMs, and story mentions with team assignments and saved replies.
  • RecurPost offers no competitor benchmarking. Agorapulse includes benchmarking on its Advanced plan.
  • RecurPost boosts published Facebook and Instagram posts into ads, with budget, audience, and duration set inside RecurPost and billing through the connected Meta ad account. RecurPost does not build ad campaigns from scratch and does not run Google, LinkedIn, or TikTok ads.
  • RecurPost’s interface is utilitarian. RecurPost handles large client rosters without a polished design layer.
  • RecurPost does not publish to Snapchat and has no link-in-bio product. Agorapulse ships PulseLink in bio.
  • RecurPost publishes X posts over 280 characters only when the client holds their own X Premium subscription.

A brand team whose two community managers spend their day in the inbox loses the most in this trade. Agencies that switched anyway did it for the pricing model and the onboarding. The RecurPost case studies show which rosters made that trade and why.

Agorapulse Pricing Math, Both Ways

Want the numbers for your own roster? The social media tool pricing calculator prices 36 schedulers, including Agorapulse, for your profiles, seats, clients and must-have features, with the arithmetic shown.

Agorapulse’s per-seat model means team size decides the math more than any feature list does. The table shows loaded costs on monthly billing.

Sources: Agorapulse, Buffer, Metricool, Vista Social, and HeyOrca. Verified July 16, 2026. RecurPost verified September 15, 2026.

We checked Agorapulse’s prices against its pricing page on July 16, 2026, and the alternative prices against each vendor’s page in the same pass.

RecurPost’s smaller plans matter to this math too. RecurPost Starter covers 2 social accounts for $9 per month, with roles, permissions, and the Kanban board included. RecurPost Personal covers 5 social accounts for $25. RecurPost’s yearly billing gives two months free, and RecurPost’s trial runs 14 days with no credit card. Compare RecurPost pricing against your own seat and account counts before switching.

Run the math in both directions.

The four-person, 12-account agency pays Agorapulse $416 per month on monthly billing, which is four Standard seats at $99 plus two extra profiles at $10. RecurPost Agency covers the same roster for $99, which is $79 plus one extra team member at $20. RecurPost saves that agency $317 per month, and the agency gives up Agorapulse’s inbox depth, its per-profile role scoping, and its listening add-on to get it.

A solo inbox-heavy manager flips the result on value. One Agorapulse seat on annual billing costs $79 for 10 profiles with assignments, saved replies, and moderation included. RecurPost prices the same 10 social accounts at $45, which is Personal at $25 plus five extra accounts at $4. RecurPost includes none of that inbox depth at that price. RecurPost’s inbox with AI replies covers day-to-day responses, and a manager whose job is high-volume community moderation gets more tool per dollar by staying put.

A two-or-three-account solo pays less almost anywhere than on either tool’s flagship. Buffer’s free plan covers 3 channels at $0, and RecurPost Starter covers 2 social accounts at $9. Agorapulse sells nothing in that range.

A benchmarking-driven team should check the competitor math before leaving. Agorapulse Advanced at $149 per user on annual billing includes competitor benchmarking, while Sprout Social starts at $199 per seat before its listening add-on. Metricool’s $67 Advanced undercuts both when per-user inbox tooling is not required.

When Staying on Agorapulse Is the Right Call

Agorapulse keeps five things most tools on this page cannot replace:

  1. Agorapulse’s inbox handles comments, mentions, DMs, and story mentions across eight platforms with team assignments and saved replies.
  2. Agorapulse separates Co-owners, Managers, Advanced Members, and Members at the organization level, and Admins, Editors, Moderators, and read-only Guests per social profile.
  3. Agorapulse’s listening add-on tracks brand conversations beyond your own pages.
  4. Agorapulse’s white-label portals and reports let agencies present a fully branded service.
  5. Agorapulse’s shared calendars let clients view and approve content without logging in.

A brand team whose daily work is community management should stay. So should a team whose compliance rules limit access to individual social profiles, because Agorapulse assigns that access per profile rather than per workspace. So should an agency whose clients buy listening reports. Switching that team to a per-account scheduler trades its core workflow for a lower invoice, and the invoice was never the problem.

A team growing seats faster than social profiles has the opposite answer, and the pricing math above shows where the two lines cross.

Where RecurPost Fits, and Where It Does Not

RecurPost fits the roster that broke Agorapulse’s pricing. The four-person agency from the top of this page lands on RecurPost at $99 per month instead of $416, because RecurPost charges for social accounts rather than seats. Its clients connect their own accounts through email or link invites with no passwords exchanged. A failed post surfaces with a reason drawn from 850+ documented platform failure types instead of disappearing.

RecurPost runs staged approvals inside a separate workspace per client on the Agency plan at $79 per month, and RecurPost includes the team roles and the Kanban board on every plan from the $9 Starter. RecurPost’s Google Business Profile posts carry CTA buttons such as Book, Call Now, and Offer, with rejection monitoring after a post is accepted. RecurPost’s X Wallet, funded by the account from $10.80, pays X’s $0.20 per-link posting fee across client accounts. RecurPost also runs Instagram DM keyword automation with CTA buttons, a workflow Agorapulse offers on no platform, though several other schedulers offer versions of it too.

RecurPost does not fit listening-driven teams or moderation-heavy community management. RecurPost also does not fit a team that needs read-only access scoped to a single social profile, because RecurPost scopes roles per workspace and per assigned accounts. A team that has to run SSO alongside its approval chain finds that pairing on Agorapulse’s Custom tier. Those buyers have better answers in the groups above, including Agorapulse itself.

The RecurPost vs Agorapulse comparison walks both tools feature by feature when Agorapulse is your only other candidate.

Moving Off Agorapulse

A move off Agorapulse takes five steps, and the first one has a deadline attached to your billing date.

  1. Export the reports and inbox records you need before the last Agorapulse seat lapses, because historical engagement data does not follow you to a scheduler.
  2. Build the workflow stages and their timeouts once as the account owner, since RecurPost applies them account-wide rather than per client.
  3. Assign each teammate a role in every client workspace they cover, so the copywriter, the account manager, and the client each land in the right stage on day one.
  4. Send each client a password-free invite so they reconnect their own social profiles, which also ends the shared-password arrangement for good.
  5. Rebuild the content with RecurPost’s import of past posts from each connected account, plus bulk CSV uploads and RSS or Google Alerts imports into per-client libraries.

Run both tools in parallel for one billing cycle when Agorapulse still has scheduled posts queued. A team that publishes daily can skip that and cut over inside a week.

Agorapulse Alternatives FAQs

Who are Agorapulse’s main competitors?

Agorapulse competes with RecurPost, Metricool, Publer, Sendible, HeyOrca, Buffer, Vista Social, Sprout Social, and Hootsuite. Each one replaces a different part of Agorapulse. RecurPost prices per social account instead of per user seat. Metricool and Publer compete on budget. Sendible and HeyOrca compete on password-free client onboarding and review. Buffer competes on publishing alone. Vista Social, Sprout Social, and Hootsuite compete on listening depth. None of those nine replacements matches Agorapulse’s inbox depth across comments, mentions, DMs, and story mentions, so choose by the gap that is pushing you out.

What is the best Agorapulse alternative?

The answer changes with the gap pushing you out of Agorapulse. RecurPost fits a team of two or more people paying per seat. RecurPost also fits when clients will not share passwords and the review chain runs more than one step. RecurPost does not fit a listening-driven team or a moderation-heavy community management team. Buffer fits a solo under roughly 10 channels with no client review. Metricool fits a reporting and ads budget. Sprout Social, Hootsuite, and Vista Social fit listening buyers. Agorapulse itself fits a team whose daily work is the inbox. The RecurPost social media scheduler page carries the full product picture for anyone weighing RecurPost against the category.

How much does Agorapulse cost per user?

Agorapulse Standard costs $99 per user per month on monthly billing and $79 on annual billing. Agorapulse Professional runs $149 monthly and $119 annual, and Agorapulse Advanced runs $199 monthly and $149 annual. Each Agorapulse plan includes 10 social profiles, extra profiles cost $10 per month each, and every additional team member pays the full per-user price.

Which Agorapulse alternatives avoid per-user pricing?

RecurPost prices per social account: the $79 Agency plan covers 20 accounts with 3 team members included and extra members at $20. Metricool prices per brand at $25 for 5 brands and $45 for 10 on its Starter tier. Publer prices per account at roughly $5 to $10 each. HeyOrca prices per client workspace. Buffer prices per channel, which stays cheap for a solo and grows with every connection.

Which Agorapulse alternatives offer password-free client onboarding?

RecurPost sends clients an email or link invite so they connect their own accounts without sharing credentials. Sendible offers the same through Client Connect from its $99 Plus plan. HeyOrca has clients join their own workspace directly. Agorapulse lists Profile Connector for inviting clients or execs to connect their social profiles, so check that feature against the tier you buy. Buffer and Metricool connect accounts through login credentials.

Which Agorapulse alternatives run a multi-step approval chain without custom pricing?

RecurPost runs configurable work, internal review, and client review stages, with the internal and client approval workflow on its Agency plan at $79 per month. Each RecurPost stage carries a timeout between 4 hours and 7 days plus a rule that holds, approves, escalates, or reschedules the post. HeyOrca runs Draft, Awaiting approval, Approved, and Revise stages, with Multi-Approval for several named approvers. Vista Social moves multi-step approvals through a set order. Agorapulse keeps custom approval chains with multiple reviewers on its Custom tier at tailored pricing.

Does RecurPost have team roles and permissions like Agorapulse?

RecurPost includes team roles and permissions on every plan from the $9 Starter. RecurPost ships Contributor, Writer, Editor, and Publisher templates. The owner can also build a custom role by ticking individual permissions across posts, approvals, the inbox, reports, paid ads, and client review. RecurPost assigns each role per workspace, so one person can hold a different role for each client, and a separate workspace per client comes with the Agency plan at $79 per month. Agorapulse separates four organization roles and four profile-level roles, so a team that needs access limited to one social profile is scoping differently from RecurPost’s per-workspace model.

What happens in RecurPost when a client does not review a post in time?

RecurPost applies the rule the account owner set for that stage: hold the post, approve it automatically, escalate it, or reschedule it. RecurPost’s default Client Review stage waits 72 hours and then reschedules the post by one day. RecurPost warns the assigned role at 50 percent and 80 percent of the timeout and again once the stage is overdue. RecurPost also lets each workspace name an Account Manager as a guaranteed second approver, who can approve on the client’s behalf, and RecurPost logs every one of those approvals.

Do any Agorapulse alternatives include social listening?

Sprout Social sells listening as an add-on from its $199 Standard plan upward. Hootsuite includes listening in its higher tiers, which run $99 to $399 per user per month on annual billing. Vista Social offers listening as a $75 per month add-on. RecurPost, Buffer, Publer, and Metricool have no social listening, so listening buyers should shortlist only those three replacements.

Is there a free Agorapulse alternative or a free Agorapulse trial?

Buffer’s free plan covers 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel. Metricool’s free plan manages 1 brand with up to 20 posts per month, without X or LinkedIn publishing. HeyOrca offers a free single-workspace tier without approvals. Free tiers fit a single-brand test rather than a client roster, and Agorapulse itself offers a 30-day trial without a credit card.

What does a 20-account roster cost after Agorapulse?

Twenty profiles on Agorapulse Standard cost one seat at $99 plus ten extra profiles at $10 each, so $199 per month for a single user on monthly billing. RecurPost Agency covers 20 social accounts at a flat $79 with 3 team members included. Vista Social reaches 15 profiles at $79 plus $29 for X publishing, and more profiles push into its $149 Advanced plan.

Does Agorapulse have Instagram DM automation?

Agorapulse runs no DM automation on any platform. RecurPost includes Instagram DM keyword automation with CTA buttons on its plans, and several other tools in the category offer comparable comment-to-DM workflows, so treat this as a shortlist filter rather than a one-tool feature.
