OneUp alternatives split by the gap that pushes a freelancer or an agency out. The groups below match each OneUp gap to the tools that close it, starting with team access. Each group also states where RecurPost fits and where it does not.

Every tool in that table misses somewhere. OneUp alternatives are social media management platforms that replace some combination of OneUp’s publishing, listening, and client approval workflows. No single replacement matches OneUp’s platform breadth across Snapchat, Discord, and WhatsApp, or its $1-per-account rate at 80 accounts. Jump to the alternatives at a glance.

Why Freelancers and Agencies Leave OneUp

OneUp covers more platforms than almost any tool on this page, so departures rarely start with coverage. The OneUp gaps below drive most of them.

OneUp holds team members behind its Intermediate plan. OneUp’s help center states that inviting team members and clients is supported only on the Intermediate plan and higher, and lists no team members on the entry plan. Post approvals, internal notes, and the client connection links that let clients attach their own accounts all begin on that same Intermediate plan: $60 per month on monthly billing, $48 on annual. A freelancer who needs one approval click pays 2.4 times the Basic price to get it.

OneUp planTeam members

GrowthAdmin plus 8
BusinessAdmin plus 20

Sources: OneUp help center, team members and post approvals, updated August 25, 2026. OneUp sells extra team members as a $5 per month add-on from Intermediate up.

OneUp caps the Basic plan at 300 scheduled posts. Five accounts posting once a day each burn that allowance in 60 days, so a two-month content calendar fills the whole plan. Every higher OneUp tier removes the cap, which turns a workflow problem into a pricing problem.

OneUp sells no free plan and runs a 7-day trial. Buffer, Metricool, and Publer all keep permanent free tiers, and RecurPost’s trial runs 14 days without a credit card. Seven days is a short window to test a scheduler against a real client calendar.

OneUp adds X analytics only from its Growth plan at $120 per month on monthly billing, and its full analytics set arrives on Business at $300. Reporting-led buyers hit that wall early. Public OneUp reviews also repeat one publishing complaint: posts fail and the error text does not explain why. Every scheduler fails posts sometimes, because the platforms’ own APIs fail. The tools differ in whether a failure surfaces with a usable reason, and that difference gets its own group below.

A freelancer running five client accounts, with one retail client whose marketing manager reviews every post before publication, cannot run that review on OneUp Basic at any setting. That freelancer needs a second person inside the tool, and OneUp prices the entry to team access at $60 per month. The group on team access below prices that same requirement across the alternatives.

A solo operator posting to Snapchat, Discord, or WhatsApp communities has not outgrown OneUp, and neither has an 80-account operation on the Business plan paying $1 per extra account. The staying-on-OneUp section below covers both cases.

What a OneUp Alternative Has to Cover

OneUp prices in bundled social accounts with extra-account rates that fall as plans rise: 5 accounts on Basic with extras at $5 per month, 15 on Intermediate at $4, 30 on Growth at $3, and 80 on Business at $1. OneUp also spreads monthly and annual billing further apart than most rivals. OneUp Basic costs $25 on monthly billing and $15 on annual, a 40 percent gap. That 40 percent applies to Basic alone: annual billing takes 20 percent off Intermediate and Business and 30 percent off Growth. Compare every alternative against the billing cycle you actually pay, not the headline number.

Run five checks against your roster:

  1. Find the plan where team members and post approvals begin. OneUp starts both at Intermediate, $60 per month on monthly billing.
  2. Check the entry plan’s posting cap against your queue. OneUp’s 300 scheduled posts, Buffer’s 10 per channel on free, and Metricool’s 20 per month on free all pinch at different speeds.
  3. Confirm the platforms you would lose. Snapchat, Discord, and WhatsApp almost never appear outside OneUp, and X publishing still costs extra at Metricool and Vista Social.
  4. Price the loaded monthly cost: the base plan plus the add-on accounts, add-on members, and add-on platforms your roster forces.
  5. Run the replacement inside its trial window while OneUp still publishes. RecurPost gives 14 days without a card where OneUp gives 7.

The coverage table settles the first two checks for the tools this page names most often.

RecurPost splits that table across two plan floors. RecurPost includes team roles, permissions, and the Kanban board on every plan, starting with the $9 Starter plan. RecurPost includes client workspaces and the internal and external approval workflow on the Agency plan at $79 per month.

RecurPost’s directory of social media scheduling alternatives runs the same checks across the whole category. The groups below run them for the OneUp case only.

OneUp Alternatives by Switching Trigger

Team Roles and Permissions Start at OneUp Intermediate

Closest fitRecurPost for per-client roles from the entry plan, Sendible for password-free onboarding under 20 accounts
RecurPost fits whenThe second and third person need different access for each client, and the roster does not yet justify $60 per month
RecurPost does not fit whenThe team runs past the 3 members included on Agency and OneUp’s $5 member add-on beats RecurPost’s $20
Stay on OneUp Intermediate when$60 per month already fits the budget and Admin plus 2 covers the team

OneUp controls team access in detail once you reach Intermediate. OneUp offers granular permission levels, and a OneUp team member sees and creates posts only for the social accounts assigned to them. OneUp also carries internal notes with @mentions, and a mentioned OneUp team member gets an email. OneUp and RecurPost differ here on the plan floor and on the unit that access is scoped to.

RecurPost includes roles and permissions on every plan, starting with the $9 Starter plan. RecurPost ships role templates:

RecurPost roleWhat the role can do
ContributorWrite their own drafts and send them for review, with no access to other people’s posts or approvals
WriterWrite and edit posts, manage the content library, and reply in the inbox
EditorApprove posts at internal review stages, edit anyone’s work, and manage the inbox
PublisherPublish and schedule, handle client approvals, export reports, and manage the team

RecurPost also lets the account owner edit a template or build a custom role by ticking individual permissions. RecurPost’s permissions cover posts, approvals and publishing, social profiles, the content library, the inbox, reports, DM automations, paid ads, client review, and workspace and team settings. Turning off a section such as Paid ads hides that page from the member’s sidebar. A RecurPost member who tries a blocked action sees the exact permission to ask the workspace owner for, which cuts the guessing out of a support message.

RecurPost assigns roles per workspace rather than per account list. One person holds different roles for different clients. A freelancer can be a Writer for one client, an Editor for a second, and have no access to a third.

RecurPost and OneUp each cost less at a different headcount, so price your own team before switching. A freelancer on RecurPost Personal who adds one reviewer pays $45 per month for 5 accounts, the $25 plan plus one member at $20. OneUp Intermediate costs $60 on monthly billing or $48 on annual and covers 15 accounts with Admin plus 2. Five people cost $119 per month on RecurPost Agency for 20 accounts, the $79 plan plus two extra members at $20 each. Five people cost $70 per month on OneUp Intermediate for 15 accounts, the $60 plan plus two extra members at $5 each. OneUp is cheaper per head, and RecurPost is cheaper per social account.

Sendible matches the onboarding half of this group. Sendible’s Client Connect lets clients attach their accounts from the agency’s own site without sharing a password. Sendible starts at $29 per month for 6 profiles, and Sendible’s value thins as rosters grow toward 20 or more accounts. Price your own account count and headcount against both plans before you move.

Approval Deadlines Pass and Nothing Publishes

Closest fitRecurPost when a missed review must not leave a silent gap in the calendar
RecurPost fits whenClient work needs a separate workspace per client and a review deadline that acts on its own
RecurPost does not fit when$79 per month exceeds the budget and OneUp Intermediate at $60 already covers the roster’s approvals
Stay on OneUp whenThe client committee expects a branded portal on the agency’s own domain

OneUp requests approval per post. A OneUp sender toggles “Require post approval” on the post and picks one or several approvers. A OneUp approver who is not a team member works from a shareable calendar link, and that link stays active indefinitely, so the client keeps using the same link for future posts. A OneUp team member holding the “Approve or Reject posts” permission gets an email and works from the Awaiting Approval folder in the Queue or from the calendar. OneUp moves a rejected post to the Not Approved folder. OneUp moves a post that is not approved or rejected before its scheduled date to the Expired Approval folder.

RecurPost runs approvals as a staged workflow on a Kanban board. The account owner sets the stages up once for the whole account, because an agency does not change how it works from one client to the next. RecurPost gives each stage one of three types: work, internal review, or client review. Each RecurPost post then crosses the board as a card with an assignee, labels, and a media preview, with Ideas and Scheduled columns at either end. RecurPost includes the Kanban board on every plan.

RecurPost’s default workflow chains four steps:

  1. A writer drafts the post in the Writing stage.
  2. A manager reviews the post in the Manager Review stage within 48 hours, or RecurPost escalates it.
  3. The client approves the post in the Client Review stage within 72 hours, or RecurPost moves the post one day later.
  4. A client who requests changes sends the post back to Writing with their comments.

RecurPost lets the owner rename, add, and remove those stages. The owner sets each stage’s timeout at 4, 8, 24, 48, or 72 hours, or at 7 days. RecurPost then warns the assigned role at 50 percent and 80 percent of that timeout and again once the stage is overdue. The owner also picks what RecurPost does when the timeout runs out:

  1. RecurPost holds the post in its stage until someone acts.
  2. RecurPost approves the post automatically and moves it on.
  3. RecurPost escalates the post to the next approver.
  4. RecurPost reschedules the post so a late review never publishes on the wrong day.

RecurPost’s reschedule rule matters most at client review. A retail client’s marketing manager who stops replying on Thursday afternoon leaves a Friday launch post unapproved. RecurPost reschedules that post to Saturday instead of publishing it unapproved or dropping it. Every RecurPost workspace can also name an Account Manager, a guaranteed second approver who can approve on the client’s behalf, and RecurPost logs every approve-on-behalf.

OneUp and RecurPost both let a client approve from a shareable calendar link without an account, so login-free client review is parity rather than a RecurPost edge. RecurPost adds one-button change requests on that calendar and password-free onboarding, where the client gets an email or link invite, connects their own accounts, and never shares credentials. RecurPost sends role-scoped alerts by email and in the mobile app for assignments, pending reviews, approvals, change requests, timeout warnings and misses, client decisions, publish failures, and reconnect prompts.

RecurPost includes client workspaces and the internal and external approval workflow on the Agency plan at $79 per month, with 20 social accounts and 3 team members. OneUp Intermediate covers approvals at $60 per month on monthly billing, so a roster that already fits OneUp Intermediate pays less to stay.

You Hit Basic’s 300 Scheduled Post Cap

Closest fitPubler for a solo roster, RecurPost at agency scale
Publer fits whenThe cheapest way past the cap matters most and no social inbox is needed
RecurPost fits whenPer-client libraries, staged review, and bulk imports enter the picture
Neither fits when300 staged posts is genuinely all the roster needs

Publer removes post caps for $5 per account per month on its Professional plan and takes bulk CSV uploads at that price. Publer’s per-account model means a small roster pays only for the accounts it runs. Publer runs no social inbox and no white-label reports, which matters only if clients expect them.

RecurPost takes CSV bulk uploads of hundreds of posts. RecurPost also imports content from RSS feeds and Google Alerts, keeps a drafts space, and holds a separate content library per client. RecurPost’s Agency plan allows 80 posts per social account per day, a ceiling no realistic client calendar approaches. Recurring and seasonal libraries ride along as a bonus on top of that core scheduling.

SocialBee organizes volume into category queues from $29 per month. SocialBee holds CSV uploads until its $49 Accelerate plan, and SocialBee’s client approval flow is thinner than the approval tools in this group.

You Want Simple and Cheap for a Small Roster

Closest fitBuffer at 3 or fewer channels
Buffer fits whenThe roster stays at 3 or fewer channels and fewer controls per screen matter more than feature depth
RecurPost does not fit whenThe only requirement is the cheapest possible 5-account bill
Stay on OneUp Basic (annual) whenThe roster is exactly 5 accounts and $15/mo undercuts everything here

Buffer starts free with 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel, then charges $6 per channel per month on Essentials with unlimited scheduling. Buffer publishes to X, Google Business Profile, Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon. Buffer shows fewer controls per screen than any other tool here.

Buffer’s edges show at agency scale. Buffer requires account credentials at connection, surfaces no error when a post fails, and holds approvals until the Team plan at $12 per channel per month.

OneUp Basic on annual billing costs $15 per month for 5 accounts, which undercuts Buffer’s $30 for the same 5 channels and RecurPost Personal’s $25. A solo operator inside the 300-post cap who wants cheap has a real case for staying put.

You Want Failed Posts Surfaced With Reasons

Closest fitRecurPost
RecurPost fits whenA failed post needs a named reason instead of a silent gap in the calendar
RecurPost does not fit whenThe same tool also has to cover listening, benchmarking, or ad campaigns built from scratch across Meta, Google, and TikTok
NoteBuffer shows no error at all; Publer only catches formatting issues before scheduling

RecurPost documents more than 850 post-failure error types and surfaces each failure with its reason. An expired Instagram token or an oversized video shows up in RecurPost as a named problem instead of a silent gap in the calendar. RecurPost also monitors Google Business Profile posts for rejection after initial acceptance and notifies the user when one is rejected.

Buffer sits at the opposite pole. Buffer shows no error at all when a post fails. Publer validates posts before scheduling, which catches formatting mistakes and cannot catch platform-side failures after the fact.

RecurPost fits this group from $9 per month, where silent failures are eroding client trust. RecurPost does not fit a buyer who also needs social listening, competitor benchmarking, or ad campaigns built from scratch across Meta, Google, and TikTok, because RecurPost’s paid side boosts published Facebook and Instagram posts only, with budget, audience, and duration set inside RecurPost and billing through the connected Meta ad account. The shortfalls section below lists the rest.

You Want Deeper Analytics or Ads Management on a Budget

Closest fitMetricool for ads and benchmarking, RecurPost for client reporting depth
Metricool fits whenAds management and cross-platform analytics beat OneUp’s $120 Growth-tier X analytics gate
RecurPost fits whenClients expect white-label PDF reports across 10 platforms on the Agency plan at $79 per month
RecurPost does not fit whenThe monthly client report has to send itself on a schedule

Metricool reports across its supported networks and manages ads from the same dashboard. Metricool’s Starter covers 5 brands at $25 per month, or 10 brands at $45, with unlimited publishing, ads management inside the same dashboard, and Google Business Profile on every tier. One Metricool brand holds one client’s whole profile set, so 10 brands means 10 clients. Metricool sells X publishing as a paid add-on, which is the one line item to price before switching. OneUp, for comparison, adds X analytics only from its $120 Growth plan.

OneUp’s own reporting is stronger than its analytics plan floor suggests. OneUp reports on these networks and ad platforms:

  • Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Snapchat
  • Bluesky, Threads, and Reddit
  • Google Business Profiles
  • Meta Ads

OneUp’s analytics PDF reports carry no OneUp branding. OneUp downloads reports as PDF or CSV and schedules PDF or CSV reports by email at weekly, monthly, or quarterly intervals, and a OneUp custom report combines several accounts into one PDF per client.

RecurPost’s Custom Reports builder assembles 200+ metrics across 10 platforms with drag and drop, from 58 templates and 11 chart types. RecurPost’s reports include audience demographics, Meta ads reporting metrics, and Google Business reviews, and RecurPost’s Chat with Reports AI answers questions about the numbers. RecurPost exports each report as a white-label PDF that you download or email to up to 25 recipients. RecurPost includes Custom Reports, white-label PDF export, and Chat with Reports AI on the Agency plan at $79 per month. RecurPost does not send reports on a recurring schedule and offers no competitor benchmarking, so an agency that sells scheduled benchmark reports fits Metricool or OneUp better.

You Need Social Listening Past OneUp’s Keyword Caps

Closest fitSprout Social or Hootsuite, Agorapulse for less
Sprout Social or Hootsuite fits whenOneUp’s keyword and mention caps are the limiting factor
Agorapulse fits whenMonitoring at a lower per-user price fits the budget better
RecurPost does not fitSwitching from OneUp to RecurPost subtracts listening rather than adding it

OneUp includes social listening on every plan, capped by tier: 1 keyword and 1,000 mentions on Basic, rising to 10 keywords and 20,000 mentions on Business. Teams selling listening reports to clients outgrow those caps.

Sprout Social’s Standard plan runs $199 per seat per month, with listening sold as an add-on from Standard upward. Hootsuite runs $99 to $399 per user per month on annual billing with listening in its higher tiers. Agorapulse centers its product on monitoring conversations and sentiment at a lower per-user price than either. Vista Social sells listening as a $75 per month add-on on top of its $79 Professional plan.

RecurPost does not compete in this group. RecurPost has no social listening and no sentiment analysis, so a switch from OneUp to RecurPost subtracts listening rather than adding it.

RecurPost does not fit this group. An agency that sells listening reports should price Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Agorapulse, and Vista Social against OneUp’s own caps, which run 1 keyword and 1,000 mentions on Basic up to 10 keywords and 20,000 mentions on Business.

Where RecurPost Falls Short for a OneUp Team

RecurPost’s gaps deserve the same bluntness as OneUp’s.

  • RecurPost has no social listening and no sentiment analysis. OneUp includes capped listening on every plan, so this switch can subtract a feature you use.
  • RecurPost does not send reports on a recurring schedule. OneUp emails PDF or CSV reports at weekly, monthly, or quarterly intervals, which an agency with a fixed reporting day feels immediately.
  • RecurPost includes 3 team members on Agency and charges $20 per month for each extra member. OneUp Business carries Admin plus 20 team members and prices extra members at $5 per month, so a large team costs less on OneUp.
  • OneUp ships API and MCP access on every tier, which automation-heavy teams build real workflows on.
  • RecurPost offers no competitor benchmarking.
  • RecurPost does not publish to Snapchat, Discord, or WhatsApp and has no link-in-bio product, so several OneUp platforms have no RecurPost equivalent at all.
  • RecurPost publishes X posts beyond 280 characters only when the client has their own X Premium subscription.
  • RecurPost’s interface is utilitarian. RecurPost handles large client rosters fine and wins no design awards doing it.

Agencies that switched anyway did it for workflow coverage. The RecurPost case studies show which rosters made that trade and why.

A freelancer with 5 client accounts who needs the client review workflow pays less on OneUp. OneUp Intermediate costs $60 per month on monthly billing or $48 on annual and carries approvals plus client connection links. RecurPost puts client workspaces and the client approval workflow on Agency at $79. RecurPost Personal at $25 covers those 5 accounts with roles, permissions, and the Kanban board, which suits a freelancer who needs a second internal reviewer rather than a client sign-off step.

A solo operator with 5 accounts and no approval needs should probably stay. OneUp Basic on annual billing costs $15 per month for those 5 accounts. RecurPost needs Personal at $25 to cover the same roster and Buffer Essentials runs $30. That is the lowest 5-account bill in this comparison, as long as the queue stays under 300 posts.

A 20-account agency with 3 users pays OneUp Intermediate $80 on monthly billing, the $60 base plus five extra accounts at $4, or $68 on annual. RecurPost Agency costs $79 for the same 20 accounts and 3 team members. OneUp on annual billing stays $11 cheaper and includes capped listening. RecurPost’s $79 buys the 850+ error surfacing, the bulk CSV workflow, roles assigned per workspace, and the client approval workflow rather than savings.

An 80-account operation belongs on OneUp Business. OneUp Business covers 80 accounts for $300 on monthly billing ($240 annual), carries Admin plus 20 team members, and prices further accounts at $1 each. RecurPost reaches 80 accounts at $319, the $79 Agency plan plus 60 extras at $4, with 3 team members included and $20 per additional member. OneUp costs less at that roster size, and the gap widens with every extra account and every extra member.

When Staying on OneUp Is the Right Call

OneUp keeps strengths most of this page cannot replace:

  • OneUp publishes to Snapchat, Discord, and WhatsApp, with WhatsApp from Intermediate, a platform spread RecurPost, Buffer, and Metricool all fail to match.
  • OneUp’s Business plan prices extra accounts at $1 per month, the cheapest at-scale rate in this comparison.
  • OneUp includes social listening on every plan, where RecurPost, Buffer, and Publer include none.
  • OneUp ships API and MCP access on every tier, which automation-heavy teams build real workflows on.
  • OneUp emails scheduled PDF or CSV reports at weekly, monthly, or quarterly intervals, which RecurPost does not do.

A solo operator on annual Basic under the 300-post cap, a community brand living on Discord and WhatsApp, or an 80-account operation on Business should stay. Switching would trade real coverage and real scale pricing for workflow features those rosters may never touch.

Where RecurPost Fits a OneUp Team, and Where It Does Not

RecurPost fits the roster that broke OneUp Basic’s team limit. The freelancer from the top of this page lands on RecurPost Agency at $79 per month: five client accounts inside 20 included, a separate workspace for the retail client, and the marketing manager approving each post from the shareable calendar without logging in. RecurPost holds, escalates, or reschedules that post when the manager goes quiet past the client review timeout. Every account joins through an email or link invite, so the freelancer never handles a client password. When a post does not go out, RecurPost surfaces the failure with its reason from 850+ documented error types, so the freelancer finds out before the client does.

A freelancer who needs only a second internal reviewer and a board lands one plan lower. RecurPost Personal at $25 covers 5 accounts with roles, permissions, and the Kanban board.

RecurPost does not fit Snapchat, Discord, or WhatsApp publishers, listening-led teams, buyers who need the monthly client report to send itself, or rosters past 80 accounts where OneUp’s $1 extra-account rate costs less. Those buyers have better answers in the groups above.

The RecurPost vs OneUp comparison walks both tools feature by feature if OneUp is your only other candidate.

Moving Off OneUp

Copy your scheduled queue before canceling, because a full OneUp Basic queue represents up to 300 posts of staging work. Reconnect each social account in the replacement and watch the first published post per platform land correctly. RecurPost shortens the rebuild by importing the last 6 months of posted content from each connected social account, which recreates a working content library without CSV formatting. OneUp bills month to month on monthly plans, so running both tools for one overlap month costs $25 to $60 and removes most of the migration risk.

RecurPost’s setup runs in one order on day one. The account owner builds the workflow stages once, assigns each person a role in every workspace they cover, then sends each client a calendar link. A five-client rebuild ends with a writer, manager, and client chain live in all five workspaces.

OneUp Alternatives FAQs

Who Are OneUp’s Main Competitors?

OneUp competes with RecurPost, Publer, HeyOrca, Sendible, SocialBee, Buffer, Metricool, Sprout Social, and Hootsuite. Each one replaces a different part of OneUp. RecurPost covers team roles from $9 per month and approval stages whose deadlines act on a missed review. Publer holds the cheapest per-account price past OneUp’s 300-post cap. HeyOrca and Sendible compete on client review and password-free onboarding. Buffer competes on simplicity alone. Metricool covers ads and cross-platform analytics below OneUp’s $120 Growth tier. Sprout Social and Hootsuite sell listening depth past OneUp’s keyword caps. No tool on this page matches OneUp’s Snapchat, Discord, and WhatsApp publishing.

Which OneUp Alternative Fits an Agency That Needs Client Approvals?

The answer changes with the plan floor you can pay and with who signs off. RecurPost fits an agency that wants each client in a separate workspace and a review deadline that acts when the reviewer goes quiet. RecurPost’s Agency plan carries client sign-off from the shareable calendar without a login at $79 per month. RecurPost does not fit an agency that needs social listening, scheduled report emails, or a branded portal on its own domain. OneUp Intermediate fits a roster whose approvals already work at $60 per month. HeyOrca fits client review rounds in a per-workspace calendar when no client publishes to X. Publer fits client approvals on a solo roster from $5 per account.

How Much Do OneUp Plans Cost in 2026?

OneUp runs four standard plans on monthly billing: Basic at $25 (5 accounts), Intermediate at $60 (15 accounts), Growth at $120 (30 accounts) and Business at $300 (80 accounts). Annual billing drops those to $15, $48, $84 and $240 per month. An Enterprise plan starts at $1,000 per month.

Is OneUp Free, and Is There a Free OneUp Alternative?

OneUp has no free plan and runs a 7-day free trial, with a full refund if you cancel within one week of the trial ending. Three OneUp alternatives keep permanent free plans: Buffer for 3 channels, Metricool for 1 brand, and Publer for 3 accounts. RecurPost has no free plan either and runs a 14-day trial without a credit card.

How Many Team Members Does Each OneUp Plan Include?

OneUp includes no team members on its entry plan and starts team invites on Intermediate. OneUp includes Admin plus 2 members on Intermediate, Admin plus 8 on Growth, and Admin plus 20 on Business, and OneUp sells extra members at $5 per month from Intermediate up. RecurPost includes 1 user on Starter, 1 on Personal, and 3 on Agency, and RecurPost charges $20 per month for each extra member.

Which OneUp Alternatives Include Client Approvals, and on Which Plan?

RecurPost includes client workspaces and the internal and external approval workflow on the Agency plan at $79 per month, and RecurPost includes team roles, permissions, and the Kanban board on every plan from $9. OneUp starts approvals at Intermediate ($60 per month). Publer includes client approval workflows on paid plans from $5 per account. Buffer starts approvals at Team ($12 per channel) and Metricool at Advanced ($67 per month).

What Happens When a Reviewer or Client Does Not Approve a Post in Time?

OneUp moves a post that is not approved or rejected before its scheduled date into the Expired Approval folder, and OneUp moves a rejected post to the Not Approved folder. RecurPost applies the stage rule the account owner picked: hold the post, approve it automatically, escalate it, or reschedule it. RecurPost sets that timeout at 4, 8, 24, 48, or 72 hours, or at 7 days, and warns the assigned role at 50 percent and 80 percent of the timeout and again when the stage is overdue.

Does RecurPost Have Team Roles and Permissions?

RecurPost has team roles and permissions on every plan, starting at $9 per month. RecurPost ships role templates, from Contributor up to Publisher, and the account owner can build a custom role by ticking individual permissions down to a single section or action. RecurPost assigns those roles per workspace, so one person can be a Writer for one client and an Editor for another. OneUp also offers granular permission levels from its Intermediate plan and scopes each team member to the social accounts assigned to them, so roles are not rare in this category.

Can I Schedule Client Reports to Send Automatically?

You cannot schedule recurring reports in RecurPost. RecurPost’s Custom Reports export as white-label PDFs that you download or email to up to 25 recipients each time you send them. OneUp schedules PDF or CSV reports by email at weekly, monthly, or quarterly intervals, so a fixed monthly reporting day is a reason to stay on OneUp.

What Is OneUp’s 300 Scheduled Post Limit?

OneUp’s Basic plan holds at most 300 scheduled posts at any time. Five accounts posting once a day each consume the full allowance in 60 days. Intermediate, Growth and Business remove the cap, with Intermediate priced at $60 per month on monthly billing.

Do Any OneUp Alternatives Publish to Snapchat, Discord or WhatsApp?

Almost none. OneUp publishes to all three, with WhatsApp from Intermediate. RecurPost, Buffer, Metricool, Publer and Sendible publish to none of the three. A roster built on those channels should stay on OneUp.

Which OneUp Alternatives Include Social Listening?

Sprout Social sells listening as an add-on from its $199 Standard plan upward, Hootsuite includes listening in its higher tiers, Agorapulse builds its product around monitoring, and Vista Social offers listening as a $75 per month add-on. OneUp itself includes capped listening on every plan. RecurPost, Buffer, Publer and Metricool have no social listening.

What Does Switching From OneUp Cost at 15 to 20 Social Accounts?

OneUp Intermediate covers 15 accounts at $60 per month on monthly billing or $48 on annual, with 20 accounts costing $80 or $68. RecurPost Agency covers 20 accounts at $79 with 3 team members. Vista Social reaches 15 profiles at $79 plus $29 for X. OneUp’s annual number stays lowest, and RecurPost’s gap buys error surfacing, bulk uploads, roles assigned per workspace, and the client approval workflow rather than savings.

Try RecurPost

RecurPost’s Agency plan covers 20 social accounts for $79 per month with client workspaces, the client approval workflow, and 3 team members included. RecurPost bills per social account rather than per user seat.
