Oktopost alternatives are social media management platforms that replace some combination of Oktopost’s B2B publishing, employee advocacy, and CRM pipeline attribution. The groups below match each reason for leaving to the tools that cover it. Each group also states where RecurPost fits and where it does not.

Oktopost publishes two starting prices rather than flat ones: Professional from $499 per month and Advanced from $799 per month, both billed annually, each with a Get a quote button. Those are floors: the final quote depends on team size and add-ons. Oktopost’s Professional floor works out to $5,988 per year, and that number drives more searches for Oktopost alternatives than any feature gap.

Oktopost’s employee advocacy and B2B pipeline attribution are genuinely hard to replace. Several groups below should pay an enterprise rival, or stay put, rather than downgrade to a scheduler.

The short version, before the evidence:

The reason you’re leavingClosest fitPublished starting price
Employee advocacy must survive the moveVista Social or Sprout Social$199/mo per 25 employees / via sales
B2B pipeline attribution must surviveSprout Social, or stay on Oktopost$199/seat/mo annual

Every pick in that table loses somewhere, and the rest of the page shows where. Start with the Oktopost alternatives at a glance table if you already know your trigger.

Oktopost Alternatives and Competitors at a Glance

Seven tools cover the six switching triggers above, and Oktopost is one of the seven. The table below names the situation each Oktopost alternative fits.

A B2B marketing team of three that mostly schedules posts sits in row 1, and RecurPost’s Agency plan covers that team’s 20 social accounts for $79 per month with 3 team members included. A team that opens advocacy and pipeline attribution every week belongs in when staying on Oktopost is the right call instead, whatever the table says about price.

Why Teams Leave Oktopost

Oktopost built a B2B revenue machine and priced it like one. Four gaps drive most departures.

Oktopost’s quote depends on team size and add-ons, and Oktopost sells extra users and add-ons through sales. A three-person team that mostly schedules posts ends up funding advocacy and attribution modules it never opens.

Oktopost sells through demos, annual contracts, and procurement cycles. Oktopost puts SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning in its Advanced package, alongside banned-keyword compliance blocking and a one-click emergency pause of all scheduled publishing. Enterprises want that weight. A ten-person marketing team usually does not.

Oktopost builds LinkedIn-first for B2B brands. Oktopost publishes to LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok, and stops there. Pinterest and Google Business Profile are absent, so any roster with retail, local, or consumer brands needs a second tool immediately.

Oktopost serves one company’s marketing team, not an agency’s client list. Oktopost segments access and approval paths by profile, feature, and group, so one business unit’s approval process does not automatically apply to another’s. That segmentation sits inside one company account. Oktopost has no per-client workspace model and does not onboard a client through a password-free invite, so an agency that inherits Oktopost from one B2B client cannot grow a roster on it.

Weigh those gaps against what Oktopost does well before reading further. Native Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Dynamics, Eloqua, and Pardot integrations tie individual social touches to pipeline. Oktopost’s employee advocacy module is a core product, not a bolt-on. A team using both modules has fewer real alternatives than any listicle admits.

List the Oktopost modules your team opens weekly before you read the groups below. That list gates every recommendation that follows, because each unused module widens the candidate pool and cuts the price floor.

What an Oktopost Replacement Has to Cover

Oktopost prices per package, from $499 per month billed annually, with the final quote set by team size and add-ons. Almost every alternative to Oktopost uses a different unit: Sprout Social, Hootsuite, and Agorapulse charge per seat, RecurPost and Publer charge per social account, Metricool charges per brand, and HeyOrca charges per client workspace. Convert your situation to three numbers first: how many people touch the tool, how many social accounts you run, and which Oktopost modules you actually open each week.

Then run six checks against those numbers:

  1. List the Oktopost modules in real use: publishing, advocacy, listening, attribution.
  2. Confirm advocacy replacement pricing in writing. Vista Social publishes the only self-serve number, $199 per month per 25 employees. Sprout Social and Hootsuite quote advocacy through sales.
  3. Decide whether UTM links plus Zapier-level tracking can replace native CRM campaign sync. If your CRO reads pipeline-from-social reports, the answer is usually no.
  4. Check network coverage both ways. Oktopost skips Pinterest and Google Business Profile, and several cheaper tools skip nothing your roster needs.
  5. Find the plan tier that includes approvals. Oktopost includes approvals in its base package, Agorapulse holds one-step approvals until Professional at $149, and RecurPost includes the internal and external approval workflow on the Agency plan at $79 per month. RecurPost includes team roles and the Kanban board on every plan from $9.
  6. Name the approval shape your replacement has to reproduce. Decide whether each review stage needs a deadline, which access each reviewer needs, and who signs off from outside the company.

The coverage table below settles the first three checks for the tools this page recommends most often. Every cell was verified against vendor pricing and product pages on July 17, 2026, except Oktopost’s entry price, which was verified on September 19, 2026.

RecurPost’s permission list doubles as the checklist for check 6, because it names every access decision a replacement has to make:

  • RecurPost separates permissions for posts, and for approvals and publishing.
  • RecurPost separates permissions for social profiles and the content library.
  • RecurPost separates permissions for the inbox, reports, and DM automations.
  • RecurPost separates permissions for paid ads and client review.
  • RecurPost separates permissions for workspace and team settings.

A B2B team of twelve shows why checks 5 and 6 come before price. Demand gen drafts a LinkedIn campaign, communications reviews it, and product marketing signs off before it goes live. That team needs the review chain and the access split reproduced first, then priced.

RecurPost’s directory of social media scheduling alternatives runs a wider set of checks across the category. The six groups below run the Oktopost checks only.

Oktopost Alternatives by Switching Trigger

Employee Advocacy Must Survive the Move

Closest fitVista Social for published pricing, Sprout Social for full-suite advocacy
Vista Social fits whenA published price and monthly terms matter more than suite depth
Sprout Social fits whenAdvocacy has to sit inside a full enterprise stack
RecurPost does not fit hereRecurPost has no employee advocacy module at all

Vista Social publishes the only self-serve advocacy price in this category: from $199 per month per 25 employees, on top of a base plan that starts at $79 for 15 profiles and 2 users. A 50-employee advocacy program lands at $477 per month all-in on published numbers, with monthly billing and no procurement cycle.

Sprout Social sells employee advocacy as an add-on priced through sales, attached to plans from $99 per seat. Sprout Social pairs advocacy with its own analytics and inbox suite, so teams replacing the whole Oktopost suite rather than one module should start there. Hootsuite Amplify covers the same ground as an enterprise add-on without a public price, which recreates the quote cycle an Oktopost buyer is leaving.

RecurPost does not compete in this group. RecurPost has no employee advocacy module at all.

Vista Social fits this group when a published price and monthly terms matter more than suite depth. Sprout Social fits when advocacy has to sit inside a full enterprise stack, and its quote may not undercut Oktopost’s.

Your CRO Still Wants Pipeline Numbers From Social

Closest fitSprout Social, or stay on Oktopost
Sprout Social fits whenA Salesforce integration on published per-seat pricing is enough
Oktopost still fits whenNative multi-CRM attribution across HubSpot, Marketo, Dynamics, Eloqua, and Pardot is the product you are paying for
RecurPost does not fit hereZapier, webhooks, and an API do not write social touches into CRM opportunity records

No tool at self-serve prices reproduces Oktopost’s attribution loop. Oktopost writes social touches into Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Dynamics, Eloqua, and Pardot, which lets a demand-gen team show which LinkedIn post touched which closed-won opportunity. That loop is the product you are paying for, from $5,988 a year.

Sprout Social comes closest among alternatives, with a Salesforce integration on published per-seat pricing. Hootsuite reaches CRM data through its app integrations rather than a native pipeline report. Everything cheaper on this page tracks clicks and UTMs, not opportunities.

RecurPost does not compete in this group either. RecurPost offers Zapier, webhooks, and a public API, and none of those writes social touches into a CRM opportunity record on its own.

Sprout Social fits when a Salesforce integration on published per-seat pricing covers the reporting. Staying on Oktopost fits when native multi-CRM attribution is the product being paid for. Leaving this group for a scheduler means rebuilding attribution by hand or losing it.

You Only Use the Publishing Half

Closest fitRecurPost
RecurPost fits whenAdvocacy and attribution are confirmed unused, and publishing, approvals, and the inbox are the whole job
Metricool fits whenAnalytics-led reporting outranks publishing depth
RecurPost does not fit whenEither module is still in weekly use

Many Oktopost accounts run the calendar, the review chain, and the inbox, and never open advocacy or attribution. Those teams pay Oktopost’s package floor for scheduler work that per-account tools price under $100.

RecurPost’s Agency plan covers 20 social accounts for $79 per month with 3 team members included. RecurPost takes CSV bulk uploads of hundreds of posts and imports from RSS feeds and Google Alerts. RecurPost includes the internal and external approval workflow on that same Agency plan, and RecurPost includes the unified social inbox on every plan. RecurPost surfaces failed posts against 850+ documented platform error types, so a rejected LinkedIn document post shows up with a reason instead of disappearing.

RecurPost also covers more networks than Oktopost does:

  • RecurPost publishes to LinkedIn company pages and personal profiles, including PDF document posts.
  • RecurPost publishes to X, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • RecurPost publishes to Pinterest and Google Business Profile, neither of which Oktopost covers.
  • RecurPost publishes to YouTube, TikTok, Threads, and Bluesky.

Metricool fits analytics-led teams at $25 per month for 5 brands, with X sold as a paid add-on. Buffer fits a team with a handful of channels at $6 per channel per month, and Buffer surfaces no error when a post fails, which matters at B2B posting volume.

RecurPost fits this group once advocacy and attribution are confirmed unused and the roster runs past a handful of accounts. A team that still opens either module belongs in the staying-put section.

An Oktopost account running the calendar, the review chain, and the inbox weekly is the case this group covers. RecurPost’s Agency plan carries all three for $79 per month with client workspaces included, and you can compare plan costs against your current package before moving anything.

You Want the Approval Workflow and Role Separation Without the Enterprise Contract

Closest fitRecurPost for stage deadlines that act and per-workspace roles
RecurPost fits whenReview stages need deadlines that take an action, each reviewer needs different access, and the sign-off happens outside the company without an account
RecurPost does not fit whenEach business unit or region needs its own approval process, or a compliance mandate drives the purchase
Oktopost still fits whenAccess has to stay segmented by profile, feature, and group across business units

Oktopost runs configurable multi-step review chains before anything goes live, and Oktopost routes marketing, communications, legal, and regional reviewers through those stages. Oktopost segments permissions by profile, feature, and group, so one business unit’s approval process or channel access does not automatically apply to another’s. Oktopost sells that governance inside an annual package with a marketing-user count.

RecurPost runs the same shape of review chain on a Kanban board at published monthly pricing. RecurPost’s account owner sets the stages up once for the whole account, because an agency does not change how it works from one client to the next. RecurPost gives each stage one of three types: work, internal review, or client review. RecurPost’s default workflow chains three stages, with Ideas and Scheduled columns bookending the board:

  1. A writer drafts the post in the Writing stage.
  2. A manager clears Manager Review within 48 hours, or RecurPost escalates the post.
  3. The client clears Client Review within 72 hours, or RecurPost reschedules the post by one day.

A client who requests changes sends the post back to Writing with comments attached.

RecurPost lets the owner rename stages, add stages, and remove them. RecurPost sets each stage’s timeout at 4, 8, 24, 48, or 72 hours, or at 7 days. RecurPost warns the role assigned to that stage at 50 percent and 80 percent of the timeout, and again once the stage runs overdue. The owner also picks what RecurPost does when a timeout expires:

  1. RecurPost holds the post in its stage until someone acts.
  2. RecurPost approves the post automatically and moves it on.
  3. RecurPost escalates the post to the next approver.
  4. RecurPost reschedules the post, so a late review never publishes on the wrong day.

RecurPost controls who acts at each stage through roles. RecurPost starts every account with role templates:

RecurPost roleWhat the role can do
ContributorWrites their own drafts and sends them for review, with no access to other people’s posts or approvals
WriterWrites and edits posts, manages the content library, and replies in the inbox
EditorApproves posts at internal review stages, edits anyone’s work, and manages the inbox
PublisherPublishes and schedules, handles client approvals, exports reports, and manages the team

RecurPost also lets the owner edit a template or build a custom role by ticking individual permissions. Turning off a section such as Paid ads hides that page from the member’s sidebar. A member who tries a blocked action sees the exact permission to ask the workspace owner for.

RecurPost assigns roles per workspace, so one person holds different roles for different clients or brands. A contractor can be a Writer in one workspace, an Editor in a second, and have no access to a third. RecurPost also names an Account Manager for each workspace. RecurPost’s Account Manager is a guaranteed second approver and can approve on the client’s behalf, and RecurPost logs every approve-on-behalf.

RecurPost sends each role only the alerts for the stages that role works in, by email and in the mobile app:

  • RecurPost alerts a member when a post is assigned to them.
  • RecurPost alerts approvers when posts are waiting for their review.
  • RecurPost alerts the writer when a post is approved or sent back with changes.
  • RecurPost alerts the assigned role as a stage nears or misses its timeout.
  • RecurPost alerts the team when a client approves, rejects, or sends an urgent approval request.

Outside reviewers never need an account. The client opens RecurPost’s shareable calendar without logging in, then approves each post or requests changes with one button.

A twelve-person B2B marketing team maps onto that workflow directly. A demand-gen writer drafts the LinkedIn campaign as a card on the board, with an assignee, labels, and a media preview. Communications clears Manager Review inside 48 hours or the post escalates. The outside reviewer signs off inside 72 hours or the post moves one day later instead of publishing unapproved.

RecurPost includes the internal and external approval workflow and client workspaces on the Agency plan at $79 per month. RecurPost includes team roles, custom permissions, and the Kanban board on every plan, starting with the $9 Starter plan.

Oktopost holds onto this trigger in two cases. RecurPost’s workflow stages are account-wide and only the account owner configures them, so a company that needs a different approval process per business unit or region keeps that in Oktopost, where access is segmented by profile, feature, and group. A compliance mandate is the second case: Oktopost Advanced carries SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning, banned-keyword blocking, and Smarsh compliance archiving, and that buyer belongs in when staying on Oktopost is the right call.

You Run Client Rosters, Not One Brand

Closest fitRecurPost, or Sendible for a lower entry point
RecurPost fits whenFlat 20-account pricing beats per-client or per-seat math
Sendible fits whenA $29 entry point matters more than flat pricing
Oktopost still fits whenOne company’s marketing team is the only account you run

Agencies hit Oktopost’s single-company design fast. Oktopost has no per-client workspace model, and its quotes scale with team size, which punishes the account-manager headcount agencies run.

RecurPost gives each client a separate workspace on the Agency plan, and each workspace carries its own approval queue and its own role assignments. RecurPost includes 5 shareable client calendars on Agency and sells extra calendars in blocks of 10. Clients connect their own accounts through an email or link invite and never hand over passwords. White-label reports go out under the agency’s name, and the Agency plan holds 20 social accounts at $79 with extra accounts at $4 each, never a per-seat surcharge per client.

RecurPost’s per-workspace roles are what make one person’s access differ by client. One account manager can hold the Publisher role on three clients and the Writer role on a fourth. Each RecurPost workspace also names its own Account Manager, so no client’s approvals wait on a single person.

Sendible matches the password-free onboarding with Client Connect from its $99 Plus plan, and Sendible’s per-plan value thins toward 20 or more accounts. HeyOrca builds each client workspace around review rounds at $59 or $149 per workspace, with a free tier of 2 profiles and 15 posts a month for one user and no approvals. HeyOrca has published no direct X posting since April 2026, which removes it for B2B rosters active on X.

RecurPost fits an agency that inherits one B2B client’s Oktopost account and folds that client into a roster of six. Sendible fits when a $29 entry point matters more than flat 20-account pricing.

You Want Listening Without an Annual Contract

Closest fitAgorapulse for published per-user pricing, Vista Social for bolt-on listening
Agorapulse fits whenListening plus inbox depth has to arrive on monthly, published pricing
Vista Social fits whenListening bolts onto Vista Social’s $79 publishing plan for $75 per month
RecurPost does not fit hereRecurPost has no social listening and no sentiment analysis

Agorapulse covers brand and competitor listening at $99 per user per month on monthly billing ($79 annual), with 10 profiles per user and a strong shared inbox. Vista Social sells listening as a $75 per month add-on on top of its $79 plan. Both prices are published, both bill monthly, and neither requires a sales call.

Sprout Social and Hootsuite go deeper on listening than either, at enterprise per-seat prices with listening gated to add-ons or higher tiers, which is the pricing shape an Oktopost buyer is leaving.

RecurPost sits this group out. RecurPost has no social listening and no sentiment analysis.

Agorapulse fits this group for listening plus inbox on published pricing. Vista Social fits when listening bolts onto its $79 publishing plan for $75 per month.

Where RecurPost Falls Short

RecurPost’s gaps deserve the same bluntness as Oktopost’s, and against this incumbent the list is long.

  • RecurPost has no employee advocacy module. An advocacy program cannot move to RecurPost in any form.
  • RecurPost has no CRM or pipeline attribution. Zapier, webhooks, and a public API exist, and none of them replaces native Salesforce, HubSpot, or Marketo campaign sync.
  • RecurPost has no social listening and no sentiment analysis.
  • RecurPost’s interface is utilitarian. It moves large rosters through the week and wins no design awards doing it.
  • RecurPost offers no competitor benchmarking.
  • RecurPost does not publish to Snapchat and has no link-in-bio product.
  • RecurPost publishes X posts beyond 280 characters only when the client has their own X Premium subscription.
  • RecurPost includes 3 team members on Agency and charges $20 per month for each additional member. Oktopost quotes by team size and add-ons and connects as many company pages and accounts as you need with no per-profile fee, so a team with many company pages and few users should run both bills before deciding.

Oktopost Advanced also carries SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning, banned-keyword blocking, and Smarsh compliance archiving. A buyer under a compliance mandate should treat the staying-put section below as the answer rather than shortlisting a scheduler.

Teams that switched anyway did it for publishing operations at a fraction of the contract. The RecurPost case studies show which teams made that trade and why.

Oktopost Pricing and the Switching Math, Both Ways

Want the numbers for your own roster? The social media tool pricing calculator prices 36 schedulers, including Oktopost, for your profiles, seats, clients and must-have features, with the arithmetic shown.

Oktopost’s $499 per month floor ($5,988 a year) makes the savings story sound automatic. Run the module math first, because the savings evaporate the moment advocacy or attribution has to be bought back elsewhere.

ToolBase priceWhat’s includedWhat changes the real cost

Each vendor’s annual billing lowers the monthly-billed rows above by roughly 17 to 25 percent. Run the math in both directions.

A B2B software company running advocacy plus Salesforce attribution with three marketing users should probably stay. Three Sprout Social Standard seats cost $597 per month on annual billing before the advocacy add-on is quoted, which lands above Oktopost’s $499 per month floor with attribution already native, though Oktopost’s quote for three users depends on team size and add-ons. Oktopost fits that buyer, and this page will not pretend otherwise.

A team using only the calendar and approvals saves the most of anyone here. RecurPost Agency at $79 per month against Oktopost Professional from $499 per month returns about $5,000 a year at the floor (more once Oktopost’s quote adds users or add-ons), and Metricool Starter at $25 saves more for a smaller roster.

A 50-employee advocacy program without pipeline reporting prices out at $477 per month on Vista Social, which is the $79 base plus two $199 advocacy blocks, on published numbers and monthly terms. Oktopost’s quote may still win that deal once attribution enters, so get both numbers in writing.

An agency with six clients and 20 social accounts has no Oktopost configuration to price. RecurPost Agency covers that roster at $79 with client approvals in every workspace, Sendible enters at $29, and Agorapulse runs $99 per account manager with one-step approvals held until the $149 Professional tier.

When Staying on Oktopost Is the Right Call

Oktopost keeps three things nobody on this page fully replaces. Oktopost’s native attribution writes social touches into Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Dynamics, Eloqua, and Pardot, and no self-serve tool duplicates that loop. Oktopost runs employee advocacy as a core module, with Slack and Microsoft Teams delivery rather than an add-on. Oktopost’s Advanced package carries the governance regulated industries require: SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning, Smarsh compliance archiving, and approve-only roles.

Oktopost’s governance goes further than a single approval chain. Oktopost’s role-based permissions let each team or region run its own program, publishing calendar, and advocacy board under one account, while central admins keep visibility across every business unit. Oktopost states SAML 2.0 SSO with confirmed Okta and Azure Active Directory integrations, SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001, and CSA STAR Level 1 certification. A multi-region enterprise that needs a different approval process per business unit gets that from Oktopost and not from an account-wide stage model.

A B2B marketing team that opens two or more of those modules weekly and reports pipeline-from-social to leadership should stay and negotiate the renewal instead of switching. The $499 per month floor buys a stack, and buyers using the stack are not overpaying.

Where RecurPost Fits, and Where It Does Not

RecurPost is not a like-for-like Oktopost replacement, and pretending otherwise would waste your evaluation. RecurPost fits exactly one group on this page: teams and agencies that need multi-client or multi-brand publishing operations without the enterprise stack. That buyer gets password-free client onboarding by email or link invite, a separate workspace per client with the internal and external approval workflow on the Agency plan at $79 per month, team roles and a Kanban board on every plan, failed posts surfaced against 850+ documented error types, bulk CSV and RSS import, an inbox with AI replies, Instagram DM keyword automation, and per-account pricing that never charges per seat. Recurring post libraries ride along as a bonus for teams that reshare a content backlog.

RecurPost does not fit advocacy programs, attribution-driven demand-gen teams, listening-led brands, or compliance-bound enterprises. Those buyers have better answers in the groups above, including the answer of staying put.

Moving Off Oktopost

Oktopost ends dashboard access when the contract lapses, so the export work comes first. A move off Oktopost takes seven steps:

  1. Export your analytics history and any board reports before the contract lapses.
  2. Document your UTM conventions, because Oktopost’s dynamic UTMs need recreating in whichever tool you choose.
  3. Reconnect every social profile in the new tool before the old contract ends, so publishing never gaps.
  4. Import your past posts straight from each connected social account, which restores a working library without CSV formatting.
  5. Rebuild the Oktopost review chain as workflow stages before you invite the team, and set each stage’s timeout and expiry rule.
  6. Assign each teammate a role in every workspace they cover, and leave them out of the workspaces they do not.
  7. Name an Account Manager in each client workspace, so every client has a second approver from day one.

Agree on one review chain before setup. RecurPost’s workflow stages are account-wide and only the account owner configures them, so a chain rebuilt per client will not hold.

Oktopost Alternatives FAQs

How Much Does Oktopost Cost?

Oktopost lists two starting prices, both billed annually: Professional from $499 per month ($5,988 per year) and Advanced from $799 per month ($9,588 per year). Each ends in a Get a quote button, and the final quote depends on team size and add-ons, so real contracts vary from those floors.

Who Are Oktopost’s Main Competitors?

Seven tools on this page compete with Oktopost, and each one competes on something different. RecurPost competes on per-account pricing with staged approvals, per-workspace roles, and a Kanban board. Sprout Social competes on an enterprise suite with a Salesforce integration and sales-priced advocacy. Vista Social competes on the only published self-serve advocacy price. Agorapulse competes on listening and inbox depth at published per-user pricing. Sendible competes on a lower entry point for a client roster. Metricool competes on analytics-led reporting at $25 per month for 5 brands. Hootsuite competes on per-seat plans, with Amplify advocacy quoted through sales.

Does Oktopost Offer a Free Trial?

Oktopost’s pricing page advertises no self-serve trial. Evaluation starts with a demo request and a sales conversation. Most alternatives on this page run self-serve trials, and RecurPost’s runs 14 days with no credit card.

Which Oktopost Alternatives Include Employee Advocacy?

Vista Social sells employee advocacy from $199 per month per 25 employees, the only published price in this group. Sprout Social offers advocacy as a sales-priced add-on, and Hootsuite sells Amplify as an enterprise add-on without a public price. RecurPost, Agorapulse, Sendible, Buffer, and Metricool have no advocacy module.

Can RecurPost Replace Oktopost’s Salesforce or Marketo Attribution?

No. RecurPost offers Zapier, webhooks, and a public API, and none of those writes social touches into CRM opportunity records the way Oktopost’s native Salesforce, HubSpot, and Marketo integrations do. A team that reports pipeline-from-social should shortlist Sprout Social or stay on Oktopost.

Does RecurPost Have Approval Workflows and Role-Based Permissions Like Oktopost?

RecurPost and Oktopost both run approval workflows with role-based access, and they sell them differently. RecurPost includes team roles and permissions on every plan from $9 per month, with Contributor, Writer, Editor, and Publisher templates or custom roles built from individual permissions. RecurPost includes the internal and external approval workflow on the Agency plan at $79 per month. Oktopost runs configurable multi-step approval workflows with role-based permissions segmented by profile, feature, and group inside one company account.

Can RecurPost Enforce a Deadline on an Approval Stage?

RecurPost sets a timeout of 4, 8, 24, 48, or 72 hours, or 7 days, on each approval stage. When that timeout expires, the rule the account owner chose holds the post, approves it automatically, escalates it, or reschedules it. RecurPost warns the role assigned to the stage at 50 percent and 80 percent of the timeout, and again once the stage is overdue.

Can an Oktopost Reviewer Outside the Company Approve a Post in RecurPost?

An outside reviewer approves posts in RecurPost without an account. The client opens RecurPost’s shareable calendar without logging in and approves each post or requests changes with one button, and a change request returns the post to the Writing stage with comments. Each RecurPost workspace can also name an Account Manager as a guaranteed second approver who approves on the client’s behalf, and RecurPost logs every approve-on-behalf.

Which Social Networks Does Oktopost Not Cover?

Oktopost publishes to LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok, with LinkedIn as its center of gravity. Pinterest and Google Business Profile are absent. RecurPost, Vista Social, and Metricool all cover Google Business Profile, and RecurPost adds Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, and YouTube on every paid plan.

What Is the Cheapest Oktopost Alternative for Publishing Only?

Buffer starts free for 3 channels and runs $6 per channel per month on Essentials. RecurPost Starter covers 2 social accounts at $9 per month, and RecurPost Agency covers 20 social accounts at $79 flat, which beats per-channel math past roughly 13 channels. Metricool Starter covers 5 brands at $25 with X as a paid add-on.

Which Oktopost Alternatives Include an Approval Workflow and a Kanban Board?

RecurPost includes the internal and external approval workflow on the Agency plan at $79 per month, and RecurPost moves posts across a Kanban board on every plan from $9 per month. Oktopost includes multi-step approval workflows in its base package. Agorapulse holds one-step approvals until Professional at $149 per month, Hootsuite holds approvals until Advanced at $399, and Metricool holds approvals until Advanced at $67. Find the tier that carries approvals before you compare entry prices, because that tier sets the real cost.
