RecurPost and MavSocial both manage client publishing from one dashboard, but they differ most in the price of collaboration. MavSocial places team roles, client approvals, and white-label reporting on its Business plan at $249 per month. RecurPost, by contrast, includes roles and permissions on every plan and places client approvals and white-label reports on the $79 Agency plan.
This pricing gap shapes most of the decision, yet MavSocial still covers 3 capabilities that RecurPost does not offer. MavSocial provides social listening with sentiment analysis and competitor analysis reporting. It also offers full ad campaign management across Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. RecurPost, in turn, publishes to TikTok, Pinterest, Threads, and Bluesky, none of which MavSocial supports. RecurPost also builds AI into its composer and social inbox and automates Instagram DMs. MavSocial lists no AI features or DM automation.
The sections below compare both tools on pricing, publishing networks, client collaboration, engagement, reporting, AI, and paid ads. Each section identifies the agency and freelancer workflows that each tool supports, along with the gaps that affect client delivery.

What RecurPost and MavSocial Each Do
RecurPost is a social media management platform built for agencies and freelancers who plan, publish, and report on content for multiple clients. RecurPost publishes to 10 platforms and gives each network its own field set inside a single composer. In addition, RecurPost documents more than 850 platform error types. As a result, every failed post surfaces with a readable reason. RecurPost also pairs scheduling with recurring content libraries, native AI, and Instagram DM automation.
MavSocial is a social media management and advertising platform positioned for multi-location brands, franchises, and their agencies. MavSocial organizes its product into 7 modules, namely:
- publishing
- engagement and reputation management
- advertising
- reporting
- collaboration
- content curation
- digital asset management
Furthermore, MavSocial structures access around brands and teams rather than permissions on individual social profiles.
The two platforms therefore serve different parts of an agency’s workload. RecurPost concentrates on composing, scheduling and delivering posts cleanly across a broad network list. MavSocial, by contrast, combines publishing with paid advertising, social listening and inbound engagement. These advanced capabilities are available only on its Business and Enterprise plans.
RecurPost vs MavSocial Pricing: What a Team Costs on Each Tool
MavSocial prices every plan on 2 limits:
- the number of users
- the number of social profiles
MavSocial’s 4 plans cost $29, $78, $249 and $399 per month on monthly billing. Annual billing lowers those prices to $24, $65, $208 and $333 per month, giving you the equivalent of 2 months free.
| MavSocial Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Social Profiles | Users |
| Advanced | $29 | $24 | 10 | 1 |
| Pro | $78 | $65 | 30 | 3 |
| Business | $249 | $208 | 40 | 5 |
| Enterprise | From $399 | From $333 | Custom | Custom |
MavSocial adds a second user on the Pro plan, but Pro does not include team roles, permissions or approval workflows. Consequently, every Pro user holds the same publishing access. Moreover, scoped permissions begin only on the $249 Business plan. Beyond the included seats, MavSocial charges $24 per extra user and $7 per extra profile on monthly billing. Annual billing reduces both add-ons to $20 per user and $6 per profile. Moreover, MavSocial sells Advanced and Pro self-serve plans. However, Business and Enterprise upgrades require a demo with its sales team.
RecurPost prices its plans by social account instead. RecurPost’s Starter plan costs $9 per month for 2 accounts, and Personal costs $25 per month for 5 accounts, each with 1 user. Agency costs $79 per month for 20 accounts and 3 users, while Enterprise starts at 100 accounts with custom pricing. RecurPost adds extra social accounts at $4 per month and extra teammates at a flat $20 per month on any plan.
| RecurPost Plan | Monthly | Social Accounts | Users |
| Starter | $9 | 2 | 1 |
| Personal | $25 | 5 | 1 |
| Agency | $79 | 20 | 3 |
| Enterprise | Custom | 100+ | Custom |
What Counts as a Social Profile on Each Tool
MavSocial defines a social profile more broadly than most schedulers. According to MavSocial’s pricing page, a social profile is any account used for publishing, engagement, or organic reporting. The same definition also counts every connected ad account and every competitor analysis account as a profile. As a result, competitor tracking and ad accounts consume the same allowance as client publishing, and each extra profile costs $7 per month.
RecurPost, by contrast, counts a social account only as a connected publishing destination. This is mainly because RecurPost does not offer competitor tracking. Additionally, no account slot is consumed by anything other than publishing. RecurPost also bills ad boosting as a $5 per month add-on per social account rather than as an additional slot.
The Cost of a Five-Person, 20-Account Team
RecurPost costs $119 per month for 5 users and 20 social accounts; that is the $79 Agency plan plus 2 teammates at $20 each. MavSocial’s lowest plan for the same team is Business at $249 per month. This is because Pro caps users at 3 and lacks permission management. Therefore, RecurPost costs $130 less per month for a 5-person team that requires scoped roles and approvals.
The comparison reverses for a single user managing 10 profiles. MavSocial Advanced covers that setup for $29 per month. By contrast, RecurPost costs $45, combining Personal at $25 with 5 extra accounts at $4. Consequently, MavSocial is the cheaper tool for a solo operator who needs no approval step.
| Team Setup | RecurPost | MavSocial |
| 1 user, 10 profiles | $45 (Personal + 5 accounts) | $29 (Advanced) |
| 3 users, 20 profiles, shared access | $79 (Agency) | $78 (Pro) |
| 5 users, 20 profiles, roles and approvals | $119 (Agency + 2 users) | $249 (Business) |
Additional Costs and Billing Terms
RecurPost charges $0.20 for each X post that contains a link, billed through a prepaid X wallet. Text-only X posts remain free on RecurPost, and MavSocial charges no per-post fee for X publishing. This fee therefore raises RecurPost’s monthly cost for agencies that publish links to X every day.
MavSocial’s billing terms carry their own constraints. MavSocial does not refund a billing period already paid for, and annual plans require 1 month of notice to cancel or change.
Supported Social Networks: RecurPost vs MavSocial
RecurPost publishes to 10 social networks, while MavSocial publishes to 7. This 3-network gap outweighs most feature differences, because a scheduler cannot publish client content to a network it does not support.
| Social Network | RecurPost | MavSocial |
| Facebook Pages | Yes | Yes |
| Facebook Groups | Yes, via push notification | Yes |
| Facebook personal profiles | Yes, via push notification | No |
| Instagram Business | Yes | Yes |
| Instagram personal profiles | Yes, via push notification | Yes, via mobile app |
| X (Twitter) | Yes | Yes |
| LinkedIn profiles and company pages | Yes | Yes |
| Google Business Profile | Yes | Yes |
| YouTube | Yes | Yes |
| Yes | No | |
| TikTok | Yes | No |
| Threads | Yes | No |
| Bluesky | Yes | No |
| Tumblr | No | Yes |
MavSocial’s own publishing capability table lists no support for TikTok, Pinterest, Threads or Bluesky. Consequently, agencies managing client accounts on these 4 networks publish that content manually through each native app. RecurPost, by contrast, schedules and publishes to all 4 networks from the same dashboard as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
MavSocial leads on 1 network, however. MavSocial publishes to Tumblr, which RecurPost does not support. As a result, Tumblr-dependent clients remain better served by MavSocial.
Personal profiles follow a different publishing path on each tool. RecurPost reaches Facebook personal profiles, Facebook Groups and Instagram personal profiles through push notifications. The user then completes the posting process manually. Similarly, MavSocial reaches Instagram personal profiles through its mobile app, although it does not support Facebook personal profiles at all.
MavSocial’s capability table also records format limits within supported networks. MavSocial’s Google Business Profile publishing excludes carousels, GIFs and videos, while its YouTube publishing excludes Stories. In addition, the same table marks Stories as unavailable for Facebook Business Profiles and LinkedIn pages.
Post Composer, Scheduling and Calendar: RecurPost vs MavSocial
RecurPost customizes posts at the level of each network’s native fields, whereas MavSocial customizes posts at the level of caption and media. MavSocial composes through a Master Post that users write once and then tailor in a separate tab for each network. MavSocial also provides real-time previews, saved hashtag groups, and dynamic content tags that personalize posts in bulk.
RecurPost, by contrast, extends customization into platform-specific fields within a single composer. RecurPost supports the following 7 network-level settings:
- Google Business Profile CTA buttons
- Instagram collaborator invites with location, people, and product tagging
- TikTok comment, duet and stitch permissions
- YouTube categories and tags
- LinkedIn document carousels
- Alt text on every platform
- Licensed music and trending sounds for scheduled Instagram Reels
RecurPost offers native audio selection for scheduled Instagram Reels. Users adjust the added track and the original video volume independently, on a scale of 0 to 100, before publishing. MavSocial offers no equivalent audio control. Consequently, both composers produce the same result for a shared caption. However, only RecurPost sets network-specific options without reopening each native app.
Bulk Scheduling
MavSocial bulk-uploads posts through a spreadsheet on every plan, including the $29 Advanced plan. Its uploader accepts up to 250 text, image, and video posts per file and previews them before publishing. RecurPost bulk-schedules hundreds of posts from a single CSV file, and both tools also schedule content in bulk from RSS feeds. In addition, RecurPost imports existing posts from connected social accounts, a capability MavSocial does not offer.
Calendar View
MavSocial includes a visual campaign calendar on every plan, with drag-and-drop rescheduling and day, week and month views. The calendar displays post thumbnails and color-codes published, scheduled, draft and failed posts. MavSocial also exports the calendar to PDF for client review.
RecurPost provides week, month and list views with drag-and-drop rescheduling and an Instagram grid preview that MavSocial does not include. However, RecurPost does not color-code post status on its calendar. RecurPost also shares live client calendars, with 2 included on Personal, 5 on Agency and additional blocks of 10 at $10 per month.
Queues and Content Libraries
MavSocial runs unlimited publishing queues on every plan, including a one-time queue and a repeating queue for evergreen content. Its MavRepeater feature rotates post variations. Additionally, its Digital Asset Library carries no storage cap on any plan.
RecurPost handles evergreen publishing through recurring content libraries that publish on custom time slots. Each library item stores multiple post variations that prevent duplicate content on networks such as X. RecurPost’s library capacity scales by plan, reaching 50 posts on Starter, 500 on Personal and 2,000 on Agency. Furthermore, RecurPost’s Post-wise Labels assign multiple labels to one-off and library posts. This makes content filterable across the queue, history and library.
Client Onboarding, Approvals and Team Roles: RecurPost vs MavSocial
MavSocial reserves every collaboration feature for its $249 Business plan, while RecurPost spreads collaboration across its plans. This difference forms the largest structural gap between the 2 products. MavSocial places the following 5 collaboration features on Business and Enterprise only:
- Team and brand management, which controls user permissions
- Client Lite User access, which gives clients a limited view
- Post assignment and approval
- Inbox reply assignment and approval
- Audit trail of assigned and completed actions
MavSocial Advanced at $29 and Pro at $78 include none of these 5 features. As a result, Pro users share identical publishing access, and restricting a team member to drafting requires the $249 Business plan.
How Each Tool Structures Team Roles
MavSocial structures access through 5 permission levels on Business, including-
- Super Admin
- Team Admin
- Contributor
- Approver
- Custom Role
The Contributor role drafts posts and pulls assets from the Digital Library, but it cannot publish directly. Instead, MavSocial routes those drafts to a Super Admin, Team Admin, or Approver for review. MavSocial also segments access by brands and teams rather than by settings on individual social profiles.
RecurPost, by contrast, includes roles and permissions on every plan, with 4 role templates and 11 permission groups. RecurPost then places the approval workflow, separate client workspaces and password-free client onboarding on the $79 Agency plan.
How Each Tool Onboards and Involves Clients
RecurPost invites clients by email or shareable link, and each client authorizes their own social account without sharing a password. This method removes credential rotation whenever a client’s marketing contact changes, because the agency never stores client passwords.
MavSocial provides unlimited Client Lite Users on Business and Enterprise. Client Lite Users add their own social profiles, approve or decline posts and view the content calendar. Additionally, MavSocial sends email notifications for pending approvals. This keeps the client sign-off moving without manual follow-up.
| Capability | RecurPost | MavSocial |
| Roles and permissions | Every plan | $249 Business |
| Post approval workflow | $79 Agency | $249 Business |
| Client-facing access | $79 Agency, password-free invite | $249 Business, Client Lite User |
| Separate client workspaces | $79 Agency | $249 Business, teams and brands |
| Approval on inbox replies | Not offered | $249 Business |
| Audit trail | Not offered | $249 Business |
MavSocial’s collaboration set is deeper than RecurPost’s once an agency pays for Business. MavSocial approves inbox replies as well as posts, and it keeps a compliance-ready audit trail that RecurPost does not offer. RecurPost, however, delivers roles, approvals and client workspaces at less than one-third of MavSocial’s entry price for the same capabilities.
RecurPost also structures the approval path itself. RecurPost’s Workflow Builder sets multi-step approval paths for one-off posts, and its Kanban view tracks each post through Ideas, Writing, Review, Client Approval and Scheduled stages. MavSocial, by contrast, routes Contributor drafts to an Approver, Team Admin or Super Admin, and its plan matrix lists no multi-step approval builder or stage-based board.
Social Inbox and Engagement: RecurPost vs MavSocial
MavSocial’s social inbox covers more networks and account types than RecurPost’s, while RecurPost’s inbox adds AI-drafted replies and auto-replies. MavSocial includes its inbox on every plan from $29 and pulls messages, comments and mentions from the following 6 networks:
- Facebook Pages, profiles, groups and ad comments
- Instagram accounts
- X (Twitter) accounts
- LinkedIn pages
- YouTube channels
- Google Business Profile listings, including reviews and questions
RecurPost, by contrast, connects 4 business account types to its inbox-
- Facebook Pages
- Instagram Business
- LinkedIn Company Pages
- Google Business Profile
RecurPost does not connect Facebook Groups, Instagram personal profiles or LinkedIn personal profiles to the inbox. When an account first connects, RecurPost back-fills 30 days of conversation history.
How Each Inbox Organizes Conversations
RecurPost sorts conversations through 4 tabs, namely
- To Review
- Assigned
- Reviewed
- Labels
RecurPost also assigns conversations to team members and filters them by platform, type and status. Furthermore, RecurPost drafts AI replies without consuming AI post credits and supports auto-replies. Conversely, MavSocial offers neither capability.
MavSocial, in turn, provides saved replies, comment assignment and inbox filters on every plan. MavSocial also monitors comments on Facebook and Instagram ads starting on the Pro plan.
Inbox Capabilities Exclusive to MavSocial
MavSocial offers 3 inbox capabilities that RecurPost does not provide:
- Collision detection, which alerts team members in real time when 2 people open the same message
- Inbox automation rules, which route and manage inbound messages automatically
- Sentiment analysis, which filters conversations by customer reaction
However, MavSocial places all 3 capabilities on its Business plan and above. Consequently, agencies with multiple community managers on shared client accounts gain the most from MavSocial’s inbox governance. RecurPost, meanwhile, suits agencies that prioritize faster replies through AI drafts and auto-replies over multi-agent coordination.
Social Listening and Competitor Analysis: RecurPost vs MavSocial
MavSocial offers social listening and competitor analysis on its $249 Business plan, while RecurPost offers neither capability. RecurPost does not track keywords across public social data, and it does not report on competitor accounts. Instead, RecurPost’s social inbox surfaces comments and mentions on connected accounts. This supports engagement rather than listening.
MavSocial’s listening module provides the following 4 capabilities:
- Keyword monitoring that follows industry terms and brand conversations
- Hashtag tracking that measures hashtag performance
- Sentiment analysis that classifies conversations by audience reaction
- Competitor analysis that reports on rival accounts
MavSocial also allows users to reply, like or repost directly from the listening feed. This connects monitoring with engagement in one workflow. However, MavSocial’s listening coverage is limited to X and Instagram. As a result, conversations on Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and other networks remain outside its scope. Moreover, MavSocial routes brand mentions through its inbox rather than through a dedicated real-time alert system.
Competitor tracking also carries a capacity cost on MavSocial. Each tracked competitor account counts as a social profile. Therefore, competitor analysis reduces the profiles available for client publishing.
MavSocial Business therefore covers agencies whose client retainers include listening, sentiment or competitor reporting. Conversely, RecurPost cannot deliver those reports. For retainers limited to publishing and performance reporting, MavSocial’s listening does not justify the price increase from $78 on Pro to $249 on Business.
Analytics, Reporting and White Label
MavSocial offers more report exports at a lower entry price. By contrast, RecurPost offers branded client reports, metric-level customization and AI report analysis at $79. MavSocial exports unlimited network reports in Excel or PDF on every plan, along with campaign and group reports. MavSocial also distributes reports to stakeholders by email on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule. According to our testing, MavSocial reports most deeply on Facebook and X.
MavSocial, however, moves 4 client-facing report types to its $249 Business plan:
- Community management reports measuring response times by network and team member
- Paid ad reports covering Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn campaigns
- Competitor analysis reports tracking rival accounts
- White-label reports adding agency branding to exported files
How RecurPost Builds Client Reports
RecurPost builds reports through metric selection rather than fixed templates. RecurPost’s Custom Reports allow users to choose the exact metrics displayed and compare performance across multiple social profiles. Custom Reports are included on the Agency plan and available on a 14-day trial elsewhere. Additionally, a permission switch in the Admin Panel controls Custom Reports access for each user. As a result, team members report only on assigned accounts.
RecurPost also adds 3 reporting capabilities that MavSocial does not offer:
- Chat with Reports, an AI feature on Agency and Enterprise that answers performance questions conversationally
- Label-wise Reports, measures published posts by custom labels such as campaigns, content themes or client segments
- Google Business Profile analytics, tracks customer actions, impressions, reviews, ratings, search keywords and Q&A engagement
Furthermore, RecurPost supports scheduled reports inside workspaces and reports most deeply on Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. MavSocial, by contrast, measures team response times, which RecurPost does not report.
White Label on Each Tool
RecurPost places white-label reports on the $79 Agency plan, alongside branded client-facing portals. RecurPost also shares white-labeled reports through links as well as PDF downloads.
MavSocial places white-label reporting on the $249 Business plan and reserves the white-labeled product version for Enterprise at $399. MavSocial’s white label applies to exported reports only. Therefore, live shared links and team invitations still carry MavSocial branding. Moreover, MavSocial offers no live link sharing for white-labeled reports.
Neither tool supports a custom domain or subdomain; hence, both white-label offerings remain partial rather than fully rebranded platforms.
AI Features
RecurPost builds native AI into content creation, engagement and reporting, whereas MavSocial offers no generative AI features. MavSocial’s published plan comparison covers publishing, engagement, advertising, collaboration and reporting. However, no row in that matrix lists an AI feature. The only AI capability MavSocial promotes is image recognition that suggests metadata tags for assets in its Digital Library.
RecurPost, by contrast, applies AI across 5 areas of the product:
- Composer text generation, including platform-specific posts and tone rewriting
- Composer image generation for post visuals
- Content idea generation for planning topics
- Inbox reply drafts, which do not consume AI post credits
- Chat with Reports, which answers performance questions on Agency and Enterprise
RecurPost’s AI runs natively inside the composer, so users do not connect an external API key from providers such as OpenAI. However, RecurPost does not generate platform-specific variations automatically. Users must select each platform or social profile before generating a variation.
How RecurPost Prices AI Usage
RecurPost includes AI credits with its plans and sells additional usage as metered add-ons. RecurPost charges $10 per month for 200 AI posts and $10 per month for 200 AI images. Consequently, teams that write their own copy avoid both charges and lose nothing on the AI front by choosing MavSocial. Teams that generate captions or images at volume, however, add these blocks to RecurPost’s plan price for an accurate comparison.
DM Automation
RecurPost automates Instagram direct messages through triggered flows, whereas MavSocial does not offer DM automation. RecurPost sends an automated DM when a user comments a specific keyword. Moreover, it attaches custom CTA buttons to that reply. As a result, comment-to-DM promotions on Instagram posts and Reels run entirely inside RecurPost.
RecurPost’s DM automation includes the following 5 capabilities:
- Keyword-triggered DM flows that respond to specific comments
- A visual flow builder for designing DM sequences
- Welcome messages for new conversations
- Keyword-based auto-replies for common questions
- Custom CTA buttons within automated messages
RecurPost does not currently support reusable DM templates, however.
Follower-Gated DM Flows
RecurPost’s latest update adds 2 controls that decide who receives automated messages. The “DM Only If Follow” option sends DMs only to followers and pauses the message for commenters who do not follow the account. The Non-Follower Flow then prompts those commenters to follow the account to unlock the message. Once the commenter follows, RecurPost sends the original DM automatically.
Together, these controls tie each automated offer to a follow action and filter delivery toward higher-intent commenters. Consequently, the setup supports exclusive offers, flash sales and gated content that agencies run for Instagram-focused clients.
How MavSocial Handles Inbound Messages
MavSocial’s inbox automation on Business and above applies rules that route and manage inbound messages. This function performs triage rather than sending a triggered outbound reply. In other words, MavSocial organizes the messages that arrive, while RecurPost sends the reply that captures the lead.
DM automation therefore carries the most value for agencies managing Instagram-led clients that run promotions. By contrast, it adds little value for B2B client rosters concentrated on LinkedIn and Google Business Profile.
Paid Ads, Mobile Apps, Integrations and Support: RecurPost vs MavSocial
MavSocial leads on paid advertising, while RecurPost leads on integrations and support responsiveness. Both tools, meanwhile, offer iOS and Android apps with comparable core functions.
Paid Ads
MavSocial is the stronger advertising product, although its full ad suite requires the $399 Enterprise plan. MavSocial places the following 4 ad capabilities on Enterprise:
- Facebook and Instagram campaign management, including unpublished dark posts
- Bulk Facebook ad creation from a spreadsheet across multiple location pages
- X (Twitter) campaign management
- LinkedIn campaign management
MavSocial also reports on paid ad performance and boosts posts through its Post Manager screen.
RecurPost, by contrast, boosts published posts rather than managing full campaigns. RecurPost converts a published Facebook or Instagram post into an ad directly from the dashboard. Each boost carries a per-day or total budget, and a fixed start and end date. It also includes 4 targeting dimensions from the connected Meta ad account. RecurPost sells boosting as a $5 per month add-on per social account. However, RecurPost cannot build or edit custom audiences because Meta restricts third-party tools from that function. RecurPost also does not boost LinkedIn posts or support ads on Google, Pinterest or TikTok.
Mobile Apps
MavSocial and RecurPost both offer iOS and Android apps on every plan. MavSocial’s app creates, schedules and publishes posts and manages the social inbox. Depending on the network and post type, MavSocial either publishes automatically or sends a push notification for manual posting. Advanced administration and in-depth analytics, however, remain on MavSocial’s desktop application.
RecurPost’s app covers scheduling, publishing, content management and inbox replies. RecurPost keeps reports, DM automation, paid ads, CSV bulk upload and billing on desktop only.
Integrations
RecurPost connects to external systems through a public API, webhooks, Zapier, a native n8n node and MCP access. RecurPost also integrates with Canva, Google Drive and Bitly. Additionally, it imports media from 8 sources, including Unsplash, Pixabay and Giphy.
MavSocial connects to Canva, Google Drive and Bitly, and both tools offer a Chrome extension for publishing from the web. However, MavSocial does not offer a public API, webhooks and Zapier, Make or IFTTT integration. Consequently, MavSocial cannot connect to CRMs, project management tools or e-commerce platforms such as Shopify.
Customer Support
MavSocial advertises 24/7 support on every plan and adds one-to-one onboarding training on Business and above. In our testing, however, an email to MavSocial support remained unanswered for more than 48 hours. Plus, live chat responses were similarly slow. MavSocial documents its product in a Zendesk-hosted help center.
RecurPost, by contrast, provides human support rather than relying on a bot-based queue. RecurPost answers live chat within 30 minutes on all plans and responds to email within 24 to 48 hours. Additionally, RecurPost provides a help center, video tutorials, onboarding demos and dedicated account managers.
Where RecurPost Fits, and Where It Does Not
RecurPost fits agencies and freelancers managing 5 to 20 client accounts who require collaboration features below MavSocial’s $249 price point. RecurPost delivers the strongest value for the following 6 types of teams:
- Teams that require scoped roles on every plan without an upgrade
- Teams that require client approvals and white-label reports at $79 rather than $249
- Teams that manage TikTok, Pinterest, Threads or Bluesky client accounts
- Teams that customize network-specific fields within a single composer
- Teams that generate content with AI and automate Instagram DMs
- Teams that connect workflows through an API, webhooks, Zapier or n8n
RecurPost, however, does not fit every agency workflow. It may fall short for teams whose retainers include social listening, sentiment tracking, or competitor reporting. It may also be limiting for teams that run full paid campaigns rather than simply boosting published posts. The tool may not be the right fit for teams that require a compliance audit trail of every assigned and completed action. RecurPost may also not be suitable for teams that publish to Tumblr for any client. It can also become expensive for teams that require to pull content from multiple RSS feeds, since RecurPost charges $10 per month for each feed.
Where MavSocial Fits, and Where It Does Not
MavSocial fits multi-location brands, franchises and Meta-focused agencies that already budget $249 per month or more for social media management. At the Business and Enterprise tiers, MavSocial combines listening, inbox governance and paid campaigns in one product. MavSocial delivers the strongest value for the following 5 types of teams:
- Teams whose retainers include social listening, sentiment analysis or competitor reporting
- Teams that coordinate multiple community managers through collision detection and reply approvals
- Teams that require a compliance audit trail of assigned and completed actions
- Teams that run franchise or multi-location ads, because MavSocial builds ad sets for hundreds of location pages from one spreadsheet
- Solo operators managing up to 10 profiles on Meta, LinkedIn or YouTube for $29 per month
MavSocial, however, falls short for agencies with broader network rosters or smaller collaboration budgets. MavSocial may not be suitable for teams that manage TikTok, Pinterest, Threads, or Bluesky client accounts. It may also fall short for teams that require permissions or client approvals on plans below $249 per month. Teams that generate content with AI directly inside the composer may find MavSocial limiting as well. It may not be the right fit for teams that automate Instagram DMs through keyword triggers. Teams that need to connect workflows through an API, webhooks, or Zapier may also find the platform restrictive. Finally, MavSocial may not be ideal for teams that depend on fast support responses, given the 48-hour-plus email delays recorded in our testing.
RecurPost vs MavSocial: Who Should Pick Which
| Your situation | The tool that covers it | Why |
| Listening or competitor reporting is in the client contract | MavSocial Business | MavSocial tracks keywords, sentiment and competitors at $249. RecurPost does not offer listening. |
| You run ad campaigns in-house alongside organic | MavSocial Enterprise | MavSocial manages Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn campaigns at $399. RecurPost boosts published posts only. |
| You need scoped team roles under $249 per month | RecurPost | RecurPost includes roles and permissions on every plan. MavSocial starts them at Business. |
| Your roster includes TikTok or Pinterest clients | RecurPost | MavSocial’s publishing table lists neither network. |

| You work alone across 10 Meta, LinkedIn or YouTube profiles | MavSocial Advanced | MavSocial covers 10 profiles at $29. The same roster on RecurPost costs $45. |
| You publish to Tumblr | MavSocial | RecurPost does not support Tumblr. |
How to Switch From MavSocial to RecurPost
Switching from MavSocial to RecurPost requires rebuilding scheduled queues, re-uploading media and re-authorizing each social account. Scheduled posts do not transfer between social media management tools. Therefore, RecurPost cannot import a MavSocial queue directly. Similarly, MavSocial’s Digital Asset Library does not export into RecurPost; that means media files are re-uploaded manually.
RecurPost shortens the rebuild in 1 area. It imports existing posts from connected social accounts. This means the content library fills from each client’s published history rather than from a blank screen.
Timing the Move Against MavSocial’s Billing Terms
MavSocial’s billing terms determine the most cost-effective switching date. This is mainly because MavSocial does not refund paid periods. Since it also requires 1 month of notice on annual plans, the switch aligns best with the renewal date. The migration follows 4 steps:
- Submit cancellation notice to MavSocial at least 1 month before the annual term ends.
- Connect client accounts to RecurPost during the final weeks of the MavSocial term.
- Rebuild the publishing queue in RecurPost while both tools run in parallel.
- Let the MavSocial term lapse once RecurPost publishes on schedule.
For teams with social listening requirements included in active client contracts, remaining with MavSocial may be the more practical choice. Completing the current MavSocial subscription term allows agencies to maintain their existing workflows. This includes ongoing social media management and social listening activities. Agencies can then transition to an alternative platform after the current subscription term ends.
The migration checklist covers the account-by-account migration sequence.
Try RecurPost
RecurPost’s Agency plan covers 20 social accounts and includes 3 team members. RecurPost prices an extra teammate at a flat $20 per month on any plan instead of multiplying the plan price by every seat. RecurPost includes roles and permissions on every plan, and places the approval workflow, client workspaces and white-label reports on Agency.
This page compares RecurPost with one tool. For the broader question of whether RecurPost fits your publishing operation, the RecurPost social media scheduler overview covers the full product, and RecurPost case studies show how agencies run client publishing in it.

No, MavSocial does not support TikTok or Pinterest. MavSocial publishes to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, YouTube and Tumblr. RecurPost, by contrast, supports TikTok, Pinterest, Threads and Bluesky across 10 social networks in total.
2. Which MavSocial plan includes team roles and client approvals?
MavSocial includes team roles, post approvals and Client Lite Users on its Business plan at $249 per month. MavSocial offers none of these features on Advanced at $29 or Pro at $78. RecurPost, however, includes roles on every plan and places the approval workflow on its $79 Agency plan.
3. Is MavSocial cheaper than RecurPost?
MavSocial is cheaper for 1 user managing 10 profiles, costing $29 per month against $45 on RecurPost. However, MavSocial costs more once a team requires scoped permissions. MavSocial’s first plan with permissions costs $249, whereas RecurPost covers 5 users and 20 accounts for $119.
4. Does RecurPost offer social listening?
No, RecurPost does not offer social listening, keyword tracking or competitor reporting. MavSocial includes all 3 capabilities on its $249 Business plan, although its listening covers only X and Instagram. Consequently, agencies with listening deliverables in client contracts require MavSocial or a dedicated listening tool.
5. Does MavSocial have an API?
No, MavSocial offers no public API, no webhooks and no Zapier, Make or IFTTT integration. RecurPost, by contrast, connects through a public API, webhooks, Zapier, a native n8n node and MCP access.
6. What does an extra user cost on each tool?
RecurPost charges a flat $20 per month for each extra teammate on any plan. MavSocial charges $24 per month on monthly billing or $20 per month on annual billing, and it sells extra users on the Business plan.
7. Can clients approve posts without a full seat?
Yes, both tools let clients approve posts without a full seat. RecurPost invites clients through a password-free email or link on its Agency plan, so clients authorize their own accounts. MavSocial provides unlimited Client Lite Users on Business, which let clients add profiles, approve or decline posts and view the calendar.
8. Does MavSocial offer AI features or DM automation?
No, MavSocial offers neither generative AI nor DM automation. RecurPost includes native AI for captions, images, inbox replies and report analysis. RecurPost also automates Instagram DMs through keyword triggers and follower-gated flows.
9. Can an agency switch from MavSocial to RecurPost mid-contract?
Yes, but MavSocial does not refund paid periods, and its annual plans require 1 month of notice to cancel or change. The most cost-effective switch therefore aligns with the renewal date. Agencies rebuild the queue in RecurPost during the overlap and then let the MavSocial term lapse.
