Template 02 - Planning & Strategy
Social Media Strategy Presentation Template
RecurPost’s social media strategy presentation template is a thirteen-slide deck for the meeting where a client approves a social media strategy. The slides run in the order a client asks questions in, from where the account stands today to what the first month costs and when it starts. This page shows every slide, one filled deck for a three-practice dental group, and what the approved cadence turns into once the meeting ends.
1. THE ARTIFACT
What Is on Each of the 13 Slides
The deck holds thirteen slides, and each one settles a question the client will ask out loud. The order matters more than the design. A deck that opens with objectives asks a committee to approve a target before it has agreed where the account currently stands, which is why the baseline slide comes first.
The rest of RecurPost’s social media templates cover the documents that sit either side of this one.
ONE SLIDE MAKES WORK
Slide 7 is the only slide that produces work. The other twelve inform the choices behind it without producing a single dated item, which is why the cadence line is the one a committee has to leave the room agreeing on.
BUILT FOR
A strategy that is decided and now has to be sold to someone who was not in the room while it was made.
SKIP IF
Nobody has to approve anything. A solo operator running their own account needs the working document rather than a presentation of it.

2. WORKED EXAMPLE
A Filled Deck for One Client
A freelance social media manager presenting to a three-practice dental group fills all thirteen slides for one quarter. The deck below is that client’s Q2, and the cadence on slide 7 carries through the rest of this page.
SLIDE 10 SAVES THE QUARTER
The freelancer writes and schedules everything, and the practice manager approves anything that makes a clinical claim before it publishes. Naming that in March stops the argument in May, and it is the reason the owners slide sits in the deck rather than in a follow-up email.
ONE DECK, THREE PRACTICES
Three practices do not become three decks. The group runs one deck with one Google Business Profile line covering three locations, because a second deck splits the objective and the budget across documents that then disagree.

3. THE ARITHMETIC
What Happens After the Client Approves the Deck
One slide in the deck creates work, and it is the cadence slide. Three Instagram posts, two Facebook posts and three Google Business Profile posts make eight posts a week. Four weeks of that cadence make a thirty-two post month across the client’s five accounts.
RecurPost’s social media calendar holds the dated instances the approved cadence produces. The calendar shows a client’s month in Month, Week, List or Instagram Grid view, and a post moves to a new time by dragging it, so an approved cadence survives a public holiday without a new meeting.
THE OTHER TWELVE
The other twelve slides inform those choices without producing a single dated item, which is worth remembering when a committee wants to spend the meeting on the competitor slide.
WRITE A NUMBER
The conversion works when slide 7 is written as a number per channel per week. A cadence slide that reads “post consistently” produces no count, cannot be dated and cannot be scheduled, so the committee approves a number or it approves nothing.

Thirty-two is the number the freelancer plans against. You assign each of the thirty-two a date and a content pillar, and April is built.
4. THE FILE
What You Get, and What Happens When You Submit the Form
RecurPost gives the social media strategy presentation template away free. The file is a Google Slides deck, and you take your own copy of it and edit that copy, so nothing you type reaches anyone else.
The form below asks for six details and requires one. Business email address is the only required field, and full name, organization, employee count, country and company URL are optional.
RecurPost sends the deck to the business email address you supply, and the confirmation on this page tells you it is on the way.

5. THE HANDOFF
Moving an Approved Month Into RecurPost
RecurPost schedules the approved month in one pass with bulk scheduling. You build the dated month as a CSV or Excel file, map each row to its account, check the previews and set the batch live.
THREE DOCUMENTS
The deck is not the upload file. The deck carries the approved cadence, the calendar holds the dates that cadence produces, and the bulk file is what you build once the dates are set.
BATCH SIZE
~100
RecurPost sets no hard cap on how many posts one upload can carry and recommends keeping a batch to around 100 posts so it processes quickly.
APRIL IN ONE UPLOAD
32 / 100
The dental group’s thirty-two post April fits inside a single upload, and the full quarter is three.
Slide 7 sets the number, the calendar sets the dates, and one upload sets the month live.
6. FIT
When This Deck Fits, and Which Template to Use Instead
The deck is the version of the strategy you present. The thinking behind it, the operating rules that follow it and the commercial terms that precede it all live in different documents.
THE LIBRARY
All four sit in RecurPost’s social media templates library alongside the audit, analytics and calendar documents.

TRY RECURPOST
RecurPost’s Agency plan covers 20 social accounts and includes 3 team members. RecurPost prices an extra teammate at a flat $20 per month on any plan instead of multiplying the plan price by every seat. The dental group’s five accounts sit well inside one workspace, so an approved deck runs from a single calendar even when the client adds a fourth practice.
RecurPost is the social media management software agencies run their client publishing on.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is on the slides, how the deck reaches you, and how a deck differs from the strategy document behind it.
What slides are in a social media strategy presentation?
A social media strategy presentation runs thirteen slides: scope, baseline, objectives, audience, channels, content pillars, cadence, sample content, competitors, owners, measurement, budget and timeline. The order is the order a client asks questions in. Only the cadence slide produces work; the other twelve inform it.
How do I get the template, and what do I receive?
RecurPost sends the social media strategy presentation template to the business email address you supply on this page. The file is a Google Slides deck, it is free, and you take your own copy and edit that. Business email address is the only required field on the form.
What is the difference between a strategy deck and a strategy document?
A social media strategy document holds the reasoning, and a strategy presentation holds the version you present for approval. The document is where you work out the channel mix and defend it to yourself. The deck is where you defend it to a client in twenty minutes, which is why it is thirteen slides rather than thirteen pages.
How many slides should a social media strategy presentation be?
Thirteen slides cover one client’s strategy without losing a committee. Each slide settles one question, so a meeting that runs long has an obvious place to stop rather than a paragraph to skim. If a client asks for more detail on any single slide, that detail belongs in the strategy document behind the deck.
